Chapter 110
A presence of strange energy surrounds the house and I know without any doubt that the time has come when I will finally face this bastard who has been doing everything to make my life miserable. And just by thinking about this, my canines elongate and increasing the thirst the for their blood.
Placing my hand on the foreheads of both Ella and Oliver, I concentrate to call my powers forward. Soon the inside of my palms starts to get warm, as I send my energy to them covering them in my protective shield so that nothing happens to them.
What surprises me when I feel almost the same kind of energy returning back to me. My eyes shift to Ella to find a sweet smile on her sleeping face while a soft glow is radiating from her body.
My fear turns out to be true, that even she is born with a Moon Goddess blessing.
“Oh, Goddess, why?!” I exhale while momentarily closing my eyes. “You better protect my pup and keep her away from every danger, otherwise, you will need some protection to save yourself from my wrath.” I glare while raising my head to the sky.
Suddenly, I feel those creepy vibes slightly getting stronger and at the same time just like I have hoped I hear howls of three familiar wolves from somewhere around the house. I know Gavin, Luca, and Jenna are here because I have called them to keep Ella and Oliver safe. I instructed them to be here and protect my everything... my pup.
I have told them everything because I am not stupid to not to tell anyone about this, but I am not selfish to drag them with me either. So before they will reach here I will be gone, so they can’t force me to take them along with me.
For now, if there is anyone whom I can trust here, are them. Because Donovon is behaving like cuckoo, D is an ass, and my dear Wolfie has to suffer because of them.
“I don’t feel good, we have to get out of here.” Oliver wakes up looking completely alert while his eyes flash showing his wolf is coming forward.
“Listen to me, Oliver.” Placing my hands on his shoulders, I kneel to look into his eyes, “I have to go, and before going I will hide you and Ella in a safe place where no one will be able to find you. Do you remember Jenna, Gavin, and Luca? They are my friends and when they come to get you then only you should come out. But other than them if someone else calls you and asks you to come out, you will not come out from hiding. No matter who they are and what they say.”
“Am I clear?” I ask.
He nods his head looking extremely serious for his age.
“C’mon.” I pick up Ella and hold his hand in mine as I take them to my old room. “We have to be quick because we don’t have much time.”
Entering the room, I close the door behind us then after putting Ella down on the couch, I walk towards my closet and open its door.
Pushing all the hanging clothes to the side, my hand reaches for the lever which is located in the bottom left corner. A small hidden door slides to the side when I pull the lever, revealing a secret passage leading to the small room behind the closet.
Uncle Henry had built this hidden passage for me when I shared my wish how I wanted to have a secret passage inside my closet just like they have shown in the movie The Chronicles of Narnia.
He turned the small room undreneath my room into my den which became my favorite room of the house.
“Wow!” Oliver looks in awe when he glances the secret passage, making me lightly chuckle, “This is so cool.”
“Yeah, it is.” I nod my head and carry Ella as I lightly nudge Oliver to step inside.
We have to crawl through the passage as it is like a mini tunnel, once we reach the hidden room.
Holding Ella against my chest, I close my eyes allowing the warmth of her little body to soothe the ache inside my heart which is caused by the thought of leaving her, as I pepper soft kisses all over her face. Reluctantly, I place Ella in the middle of the bed and then I shift my attention to Oliver.
“You have to take care of both of yourselves until I or my friends, don’t come to get you.” I smile at him not wanting him to worry, “Don’t worry, you both are safe here.” I ruffle his hair.
I remember how uncle and auntie had always used to tell me that if they ever asked me to go and hide, I would come to this room and will only come out when they’d call. Now I realize they wanted to protect me from the people, whom I am going to face tonight.
At that time I needed protection, as I was small and weak, from them. But now the time has changed because now they are the one who needs to be protected from me.
“I will protect her and will not let anything happen to her.” Oliver’s voice snaps me from my thoughts, “You do what you have to do, we will do what we are born to do.” His eyes turn a shade of bright yellow as his wolf speaks to me through him.
I have never seen anyone with such eye color, it is strange as well as fascinating.
“They are powerful but they can’t stand against you. We know you will never let them win,” he says, and then abruptly his eyes turn back to normal.
“Thank you.” I wrap my arms around him as I pull him in a hug.
“I am glad to have you in our lives.” Leaning back, I hold his face in my hands and place a kiss on his forehead.
“See, there is a handle.” I point at the handle near the entrance of the room. “The moment I will leave, you have to pull this handle then the door will be locked.”
“Promise us, you will come back to us.” He glances at me, looking slightly anxious.
“I promise, that wherever I will be, I will always be with you and look after you.” I smile at him, making a promise which I can keep because I don’t know what will be the outcome of this.
But there is one thing which I am sure about that tonight will be the last night of her life.
She’s the one whom I trusted so much, with whom I have shared my every feelings and fear from the moment I had met her for the first time.... she was the person with whom I felt so connected. And she did this to me, and my family. But now she will have to pay the cost of her every wrongdoing.
There was a time when I felt horrible for almost trying to kill her, but now I look forward to taking her life in the most agonizing way.
