Chapter 83: Heartless

Jasmine's POV

That was the first time we talked well for years. But that doesn't mean I forgot everything he did to me. I'm still mad at him, and at the same time, I'm still wishing not to work with him in the future. When he's around, I don't have peace at all. "This one, we should place this in the middle so it will look elegant," he said, which made me agree. We instructed the others to do what he said.

We're really working our butts off to finish this as soon as possible.

"Ma'am and Sir, we have already placed the chandelier." One of our workers said, We checked it, and it was perfectly placed.

After that, we rest because we've been working overtime. I also bought food for everyone and gave Travis the food I ordered. I just did that because he treated me to food yesterday.

They started Eating while this jerk couldn't stop smiling at me. I just rolled my eyes at him. I don't want him to misinterpret my actions, which were just compensation yesterday.

"Stop smiling. That was just my compensation for the food you gave to me yesterday" I told him directly but he just smiled at me.

"You really did what you said. I thought you were just joking," ehe, which I didn't answer him. I couldn't talk to him longer because as we talked for many minutes, I was starting to get mad at him, which I couldn't control.

"Stop talking and just eat," I said. He's smiling while opening the box of food.

I stood up to check the others on the other side because they were still not here. I had already called everyone to take a rest and eat, but they were not here yet.

"Where are you going?" He asked me. I just pointed at the other side since I'm not in the mood to talk to him right now again. When I approach them, they are still working.

"Let's just stop for the meantime, I bought snacks for us" I told them and they happily smiled at me. I was about to go back when I saw someone walking inside the venue.

I wasn't expecting her to be here. She looked around, and as she entered, I already knew who she was looking for.

They were not far from here, and Andi could see and still hear them. The others started walking. I was at the table to eat. I just gave them a broad smile, and I didn't go there. "What are you doing here?" I heard Travis asked her but Stacy just smiled at him and Gave him a warm hug which he didn't like.

The others stopped eating while watching them. How did she find out that he was working here?

"Aren't you happy? I've been calling you all day and sending you messages. Did you change your number? I couldn't even contact your social media account. Did you block me?" she asked him. She didn't even care if the others were watching them. Travis started removing her hugs, which made her sad. I could see that in her eyes, but Travis didn't care at all. Why is he so heartless? Stacy came here to fix things with him, but it seems like he doesn't want to talk to her.

"We're already done, Stacy." He said coldly, which made her stare at him. I can't read her reactions. She's mad and sad.

"No! I mean it's not too late I want us to get back together" Stacy held his hand but Travis kept on avoiding her.

"There's nothing to be fixed between us," he firmly said. Stacy let out a heavy breath. In just a second, her expression changed.

"What else do you want me to do?! I've been calling and texting you, yet you blocked me on your social media! You even changed your number! I've been. Doing everything to catch things up, but you kept avoiding me!" She shouted and messed up her hair. She's starting to get angry now while Travis looks at me, but I just look away. I can't look at him with those eyes.

"Can't you understand? You're the one who ended our relationship, so stop running after me, Stacy. There's no need to catch things up." He said, and he was about to walk away when Stacy hugged him on his back.

"no! That girl was already dead! She can't get you from me now! I'll forget what I saw in that bar now. Just please, let's start all over again," she pleaded. She sounds desperate, and even others murmure about what she said.

"Stop it, Stacy! I already made up

my mind! I don't care if she's dead or not! I do not want to spend even just a second of my life with you!" he got mad, and this was the first time I'd seen him yell at her. Even Stacy was surprised by the way Travis acted.

"What?! No! Please. Just come back to me! I love you! I love you so much! Please, let's get back together" She hugged him tight. Travis removed her hand around him.

“Enough Stacy! I'm done with you! I'm so done with your game!" He shouted, and they didn't even care if there were people watching them.

Why does he not want to get back to her? I can see that Stacy really loved him so much, but what could be the reason why he doesn't want to be with her? Besides, he's the one who cheated, and yet Stacy is willing to do everything and accept what happened in the night just to be with him.

"Please! Travis. I'm willing to continue the wedding. Just please stay with me" She even kneeled down. I was shocked when she did that, and everyone else didn't expect her to do that.

We're done, and no matter what

you do, I will never choose to stay with you again. Just accept the fact that it won't happen, Stacy. Just

start a new life and forget about me. Travis mercilessly left her while she was crying. She didn't have any choice but to leave the venue.
