After that, I talked to him, and I decided to leave the party. I made an excuse that they still wanted me to stay, but I really insisted that I still had a lot of things to do.
"Ma'am Jaz, we only need days to finish this. Our team also decided that after this maybe we could go somewhere to celebrate the success of our project?" Rhian said which made me agree. I also want my team to enjoy their life even just for once. "Okay, we will set a date for that. But for now, we have to focus on this wedding preparation," I told her while I was checking the papers that we had to finish by this day.
I decided to finish this today since Ryan and the others are also busy. While Rhian and I are focusing on this wedding preparation.
This month is really a big struggle for us. Especially our company abroad. It may affect our ranking as one of the known companies in the world.
We're really working so hard for that title. In that way we could encourage more business owners to vest in our company and we could gather more clients to buy our products or our services.
"I'll tell you about that, ma'am; the new materials also arrived just this morning." She even added that while I was busy on my laptop, I nodded at her.
She continues working and instructing the others on what to do.
"Tired?" Someone asked me from behind and I knew that was him. I didn't answer him and continued working. I have no time answering him right now.
Then I saw a bottle of water and a pizza on the table. He sat on the opposite chair while looking at me.
"Here, I bought you food." He offered me, which made me rest my back on the chair. The truth is that I haven't eaten my breakfast since I really went here earlier to do these papers that I'm doing right now.
I just stared at it when my tummy started growling. I heard him chuckling, which made me glare at him. I tried to refuse the food, but I suddenly felt hungry.
That's why I have no choice but to eat the food on the table.
He's watching me but I don't care. It's just fault also why he's placing these foods on the table.
"Wait here," he stood up. I watched him walk out of the venue, and when he came back, he was already holding paper bags. I got curious when he placed it on the table. He started placing a box of food on the table, which caught my attention and made me even hungrier. I didn't wait for him to offer me food and started digging for it. He chuckled when he saw my reaction. He also started eating with me. I didn't bother to ask him if he had cooked everything on this table. It's obvious that he had.
"How is it?" He asked me and I didn't notice myself giving him a thumbs up which I often do when we're still together. I remember those days when I was still in love. He's the one cooking for the both of us and even washing the dishes. But that was the past because as years went by he started to forget that I'm still hoping for the both of us.
When I noticed what I did, I hurriedly put down my head. He smiled while he continued eating happily.

You went home last night? I didn't
see you," he asked me, but I didn't
answer him. How could I not go home when I started to get irritated with you again?
I started coughing because I ate so fast and he hurriedly opened the bottle for me to drink. He also stood up to caress my back.
"I'm okay now" I told him. Though I'm still coughing a little bit he went back to his chair.
"Are you sure?" He tried to make sure that I was okay, and I just nodded.
Actually I'm a bit surprised because of the way I'm acting right now. I'm supposed to be mad at him always but now it's different. Maybe
because I'm busy And I have no time to argue with him.
"Yes, thanks." I simply said. He started cleaning the mess I made without words. I'm also surprised that he's not being talkative right now.
I went back to my laptop. I've been working on this all night but there is really something missing. I just couldn't figure it out.
"What is that?" He said I didn't answer him. I just felt that he stood up, and then he suddenly went behind my back.
"Just go back there, I'm busy" my voice sounds irritated And I'm starting to get uncomfortable with him again.
"Wait, you are not supposed to add that one. Look at this.” He suddenly takes over my laptop while he's at my back and he's like cornering me. I didn't have time to react when his idea caught my attention. He started discussing the changes that have to do and actually he had a brilliant idea no wonder why he became a successful businessman.
"See? It's much better that way," he said. I nodded, and for the first time, I smiled at him. "Right, thanks," I said, and he acted coughing. I just rolled my eyes when he winked at me. "I'm telling you right now to stop doing that" I warned him which made him immediately nod.
Since you help me, I'll buy you food next time, but don't expect too much," I told him, which made him smile broadly. "You said that! There's no turning back. I already recorded what you said as evidence," he said, but I just rolled my eyes. What a jerk. After that we went back to work with the wedding preparations. We're also about to finish it, we just need days. "I won't forget what you said earlier." He reminded me again while he couldn't stop smiling like crazy.
