Chapter Warming 61
Chapter 61
Spencer rested his chin on her head and said huskily, “Stop struggling and be good now. I’m just a normal person.”
His words were effective enough to stop Lucille from struggling. Her face was buried in his chest. She felt her face burn and her body tense up.
“Then, let me go!”
“I don’t want to.”
“Spencer, we discussed this last night–no crossing the boundary,” Lucille said in exasperation.
Spencer replied absent–mindedly, “I didn’t agree to it.”
Lucille looked up at him in disbelief.
–
“I only said “I got it‘.” He looked down at her and smirked. “Besides, you’re the one who rolled over to my side of the bed. I didn’t do anything.”
Lucille avoided his gaze. Bailey had told her about her sleeping habits before.
Seeing how cute and bashful Lucille looked in his arms, Spencer was tempted to bite her. He kissed her forehead and said, “You need to get used to my presence sooner or later.
“I’m a man of my word. I won’t touch you yet.”
Lucille lowered her head bashfully. She could tell that Spencer had changed, but she decided to play the waiting game and avoid the situation for as long as possible.
“Mack said you’re used to waking up at 6:00 am, so why are you still here?” Lucille asked.
“It’s Saturday.” He calmly added, “Besides, why would I wake up early when I have my wife with me?”
Lucille was speechless. She didn’t want to dignify his words with a response. Besides, she co in’t come up with one either.
When she walked out of the bathroom after washing up, Spencer was no longer around. She changed
into casual attire and went to the living room.
Spencer was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. He was dressed in a white T–shirt.
As if he had eyes on the back of his head, he said without turning around, “Have a seat. Breakfast will be ready soon.”
Lucille obediently sat at the dining table and waited for the food to be served. Living with Spencer was better than she’d imagined.
Not only was he handsome and well–built, but he also treated her well and cooked breakfast for her. She was living the life.
Spencer caught her smirking when he turned around. He asked, “Are you thinking about how great your husband is?”

Lucille looked up at him and said while smiling, “You’re more narcissistic than I thought.”
“It can’t be helped. I’m just that excellent.”
Lucille raised her eyebrows and asked, “In that case, should I write my name on your body to show others that you’re taken?”
Spencer carried two plates to the table and said gently, “Let’s have breakfast first. I’ll give you a gift
later.”
Seeing how he was trying to be mysterious, Lucille chose not to pry.
The sandwiches on the plate smelled pleasant. There were some shiny cherry tomatoes on the side. Lucille thought that Spencer was a perfectionist for decorating the plate so meticulously.
After breakfast, they settled down in the living room. Lucille gawked at the pair of rings before her.
“Is this the gift you mentioned just now?” she asked while looking at Spencer.
He nodded and replied, “I know what happened at Silverstar Mall last night.”
Lucille hummed and pursed her lips. She continued, “I don’t want others to know we’re married yet.”
