Chapter Warming 55

Chapter 55

Bailey didn’t want to argue with them and ruin her mood. “Babe, let’s try the ring. Ignore them.”

Lucille remained calm as she watched them from the sidelines.

Bailey turned around, quickly picked up the bride’s ring, and slipped it onto Lucille’s left ring finger.

Lucille was taken aback by the sudden action.

The sales assistant’s eyes lit up when she saw that the ring fit perfectly. It was as if she couldn’t believe someone had actually put the ring on.

“Wow, it fits perfectly, and it looks great on you!” Bailey admired Lucille’s hand. The ring fit just right.

Lucille thought the same but wondered if the groom’s ring would fit Spencer. She felt an urge to see Spencer wearing the matching ring because his hands looked so nice.

Seeing that they were being ignored, Lorelei’s frustration grew. Her sharp, mocking voice cut through the air. “You don’t even have a boyfriend. And you think you can afford these?”

Bailey and Lucille continued to ignore her and didn’t even glance her way.

Lorelei felt even more humiliated. She turned to the sales assistant and asked, “How much for this

pair of rings? I’ll buy them for Harry and Sabrina.”

Sabrina tugged on Lorelei’s arm, trying to stop her. “Lorelei, it’s not right. Lucille chose them first.”

Lorelei ignored her, determined to push through.

The sales assistant didn’t directly answer Lorelei. Instead, she said, “Ma’am, these rings are unique. They must fit both people perfectly before they can be sold.”

Hearing this, Lorelei quickly said, “That’s easy.” She pulled Sabrina toward the rings and continued, ” Sabrina, you try it on. Didn’t you and Harry just get custom rings the other day? You should know his size, right?”

Sabrina hesitated, glancing apologetically at Lucille, then said, “Lorelei, I don’t think it’s appropriate. The ring fits Lucille perfectly. Besides, Harry and I already have our engagement rings. We don’t need another pair.”

Lorelei insisted, “No, this is my wedding gift to you.”

Bailey couldn’t stand it anymore, especially Sabrina’s hypocritical act.

Suddenly, she graciously said, “Fine, let you try.”

Lucille removed the ring and placed it back.

Lorelei pulled Sabrina over to try the ring. The next moment, Lorelei exclaimed loudly, “Wow, Sabrina, it Jooks beautiful on you. I knew it would be perfect. Nothing could ever not suit you!She spoke

deliberately, directing her words at Bailey and Lucille.

Bailey and Lucille continued to look at other jewelry, ignoring Lorelei’s comments.

“Sabrina, check if the groom’s ring fits Harry,” Lorelei said loudly, making sure Bailey and Lucille could

hear.

Sabrina examined the ring and smiled softly. “Yes, this is Harry’s size.”

Lorelei raised her voice even more and said, “Really? Is it really Harry’s size? See, these rings are meant for Sabrina and Harry. They’re a perfect match and destined to be together. Some people should just stop dreaming.”

Bailey and Lucille continued to ignore her, not even sparing a glance in her direction.

Then, Bailey whispered to Lucille, “Babe, do you think she’ll actually buy them?”

Lucille replied calmly, Judging by her intelligence, she will.”

Bailey was curious to see how it would unfold.

Shortly after that, they heard Lorelei boldly say, “Wrap them up.”

The sales assistant wanted to double–check and asked, “Ma’am, are you sure you want to buy them?”

Lorelei thought she was being underestimated. She snapped, “How dare a lowly sales assistant like you question me? My cousin is the CEO of Quall Group, and this lady here is the young lady of the Quall family!

“Since your eyes are useless to you, why not feed them to the dogs? Where’s your manager? I’ll have your manager fire you!”

The sales assistant’s face darkened. She didn’t know who the CEO of Quall Group or the young lady of the Quall family was, but this woman was utterly arrogant and outrageous.

Still, she maintained her professionalism and said, “Please wait a moment. I will get you the invoice Once the invoice is issued, the goods cannot be returned. I must make this clear to you.”

Lorelei was already an arrogant person, and she became even angrier when she felt disrespected multiple times.

Annoyed, she snapped, “Hurry up, or I’ll have your manager fire you.”

She then tossed her bank card at the assistant, as if to say, “Charge whatever you want. I’ve got

money to spare.”

The sales assistant remained composed as she took the card and went to the counter.
