Chapter Warming 54
Chapter 54
“What about Sabrina? Are we just letting her off the hook? Even if it looks like Larry did all this, Sabrina must have had a hand in it,” Bailey said, clearly annoyed. Sabrina never seemed to stop causing trouble.
Lucille was silent for a moment as she pondered the situation. “Sabrina will reap what she’s sown,” she finally said.
Meanwhile, at the Johnson residence, Sabrina was getting more and more upset. It had been less than a day, but Lucille had already sorted out the issue.
Sabrina was disappointed in Larry. She tried calling him, but he didn’t answer.
Once again, Lucille had foiled Sabrina’s plans. Even though Sabrina was annoyed by it, she couldn’t do anything about it.
As she thought about the man who had been with Lucille yesterday, Sabrina’s frustration deepened even further.
Since Bailey was with Lucille today, Lucille didn’t have lunch with Spencer.
At 4:00 pm, Bailey dragged Lucille out shopping. It had been a while since they had done that.
They went to Silverstar Mall, the largest mall in Whiteloop City, which offered a variety of restaurants, fashion stores, and other shops.
Silverstar Mall was the only mall in the city that housed all the major brands, both domestic and international.
It had branches across the country, and every city’s downtown area boasted a Silverstar Mall. It had seven floors, each with a different category.
The first and second floors were dedicated to beauty products and jewelry. The third and fourth floors were for clothing and accessories. The fifth floor was for baby products and furniture, The sixth floor housed restaurants, and the seventh floor was for movies and entertainment.
Lucille and Bailey started their shopping spree on the first floor. When they reached a jewelry store, Bailey eagerly pulled Lucille inside.
“Welcome, ladies! Are you looking for necklaces or rings today?” a sales assistant greeted them.
Bailey responded with confidence, “Both.” She seemed ready to buy everything in sight.
“Babe, I think these rings look pretty nice,” Bailey said, pulling Lucille over to the ring section and pointing to a pair of simple silver rings.
Lucille glanced at the rings. They were indeed quite beautiful, exuding a sense of simplicity and elegance.

The sales assistant quickly added, “You have great taste, ladies. These rings are the most treasured pieces in our collection. We only have this one set, as it represents a pledge of eternal love to one’s soulmate. And so far, they haven’t found the right owner.”
Bailey asked, “Why?”
The sales assistant explained patiently, “Because the sizes have never been right. They’re either too big or too small.”
Bailey was left speechless.
“Quite a special treasure, aren’t they?” Bailey said. But then, she thought to herself, “That sounds more like a sales tactic to me. They probably just can’t sell them.”
Nonetheless, she had to admit that the rings did have a unique and attractive design.
“Babe, do you want to try them on?” Bailey asked Lucille.
Before Lucille could respond, the sales assistant had already taken the rings out.
Lucille was about to try them when a familiar, mocking voice spoke up from behind them. “Oh, checking out rings without a boyfriend?”
Bailey turned around to see Sabrina and Lorelei standing behind them. She narrowed her eyes, surprised to run into her nemeses.
Without missing a beat, Bailey shot back, “It looks like a dog can’t help but bark.”
Hearing this, Lorelei’s face twisted with anger. She pointed at Bailey and yelled, “Bailey, who are you calling a dog?”
Bailey looked at her and smirked. “Whoever answered must be the one.”
“You!”
