“W–What is it?” Lucille asked tentatively. She couldn’t bring herself to show her usual dominance around Spencer.

“I wanted to talk about what Grandma mentioned earlier,” he said.

She pretended not to understand him. “Oh? Did she say anything?”

He narrowed his eyes dangerously as he looked at her. Lucille immediately lost her nerve but still didn’t say anything.

Spencer didn’t think he’d hear her bring the topic up, so he said, “Grandma wants great–grandchildren.”

“Oh.”

“Oh?” He stared at her for a while before saying domineeringly, “We can’t have children without you being a willing participant, so either you move into Sparrow Residence tomorrow, or I’ll move into Orchidstone

Garden.

“We can take the opportunity to get to know each other better. That’s the only way we can make

Grandma’s wish come true.”

Lucille asked, “Can I-”

She wanted to ask whether she could say no. Spencer cut her off and said, “No objections because I can’t wait any longer!”

Lucille fell silent. She considered the matter for a while before saying, “Fine.”

Spencer smiled broadly at her acquiescence.

Suddenly, Lucille felt like she’d fallen into a trap. Just last night, he’d promised to give her more time to think things over. One night had passed since then, and here they were…

“Sparrow Residence is too far from my company, though. It’s not too convenient,” Lucille said, feeling a little diffident. It was mainly because she liked sleeping in.

Orchidstone Garden was close to Star&Ciel Group, which meant that she wouldn’t need to wake up too early. Sparrow Residence, however, was in the opposite direction.

Spencer wasn’t bothered by this. He said, “We’ll stay at your place, then. There’s more than enough space

for the two of us.”

Lucille fell silent. It didn’t seem like she could raise any other objections.

Meanwhile, in room 202, Harold was flabbergasted when the server brought him the bill. “I’m sorry, but have you brought us the wrong bill? We didn’t order any wine or liquor.”

The bill had come up to a total of 10 thousand dollars when they’d only ordered about 1,000 dollars‘ worth. The additional 9,000 dollars had been charged for two bottles of wine.

It wasn’t that Harold couldn’t afford to pay the bill. But how could he pay for something when he hadn’t ordered anything of the sort?

The server said calmly, “There’s nothing wrong with the bill, sir. The two bottles of wine were charged to your room.”

Lorelei immediately understood what was going on. She forced through gritted teeth, “This must be Lucille’s doing, Harry. How dare the little bitch do this?

Sabrina was taken aback. Harold frowned at the mention of Lucille’s name but ultimately paid the bill in resignation. The server swiped his card and left without another look back, leaving the three people deep in their thoughts.

Lorelei never would’ve expected Lucille to bite her in the ass like this. As they left Zaytun Pavilion, they saw Lucille, who’d stepped out a moment before they had.

Sabrina was the first to notice her. She pulled on Harold’s arm and said, “That looks like Lucille, Harry. Who’s that man with his arm around her?

Harold followed her line of sight to see Lucille with a man whose hand was around her waist. They looked intimate. The man had his back to them, so they couldn’t see his face. Still, they were familiar enough with Lucille to recognize her from the back.

They watched as Lucille and Spencer headed toward a black Porsche Cayenne. He opened the door for her like a perfect gentleman and shut it after she’d gotten in. Then, he circled the car to the driver’s seat.

It was then that Harold and Sabrina saw his face. Sabrina gasped at how handsome Spencer was–he was drop–dead gorgeous, and his demeanor was elegant and regal. There was something about him that made one want to approach him.

A trace of jealousy and venom flashed through her eyes. How could Lucille be acquainted with someone as classy as Spencer? Suddenly, she felt like Harold couldn’t compare to him.

Just then, Lucille happened to look up and see Sabrina and Harold standing there with their arms linked. She met their gazes and thought about how boring it was that they’d caught her so soon.

Spencer noticed her staring straight ahead after getting into the car. He asked, “What are you looking at?” He followed her line of sight. Now, Harold, Sabrina, and Lorelei got a full view of his handsome face. Lorelei was dumbstruck when she saw Spencer. How could someone look so handsome? She’d thought that Harold was handsome enough, but Spencer was gorgeous. He was the heavens‘ masterpiece! Sabrina couldn’t help but feel pissed. Spencer’s gaze was icy, but she still wanted to get to know him. Harold, on the other hand, didn’t take his eyes off Lucille. It had been a while since they’d last seen each other, and something about her had changed. He couldn’t put his finger on it, though.

In the next second, his gaze became frosty. How could she be so depraved? She’d latched onto another man so soon after calling off her engagement with him.

Spencer glanced at them perfunctorily before starting the car and driving off. Lorelei mocked, “No wonder she didn’t join us for dinner earlier. It turns out she’s already seduced some other man!”

Her tone was filled with jealousy. Spencer was drop–dead gorgeous. Why hadn’t she ever seen him around during her years in Whiteloop City?
