Unknown Darkness (2)

Chapter 19.1

“Asema… we need more work on you” Wolf whispered in my ear with a slight chuckle. I gave up and tapped a surrender.

Slowly letting me go and raising me to my feet. I turned around to look him in the eyes, he showed no sorrow just a blank face.

“I expected the unexpected though!” I said in frustration.

“Yes, you learned a quarter… but you got too cocky with defeating setting yourself off course…letting me get the advantage again.” Wolf said sorely.

I just gave him a doubtful look, I wasn’t mad at him but was upset with own self. Ever since I been winning with the other warriors I have gotten to the point where I know I would win. So, I gloated about it, but having been defeated, a strong Lycan guess that was normal. There was still much more I needed to learn in order to understand different fighting skills to defeat anything in any battle that we were about to face in the future.

“…Okay… now that you two have got your fighting out of the way… Asema would you care to join us as we strategize our plan towards Kieran?” Brock asked coming into view as he was on the side lines.

I turned to him and looked back at Wolf.

“Was this a test?” I asked towards Wolf totally ignoring Brock.

Wolf smiled and lightly kissed me on the cheek and led me by taking my hand. As all three of us walked out of the building and onto a shuttle that was taking us a completely opposite side of the Academy.

“That was test wasn’t it, to see if I was ready” I asked in confusion.

“We’ve seen your progress, and thought we might check it out, so seeing how you duel with me. Expect the unexpected, you did exactly showing us that you think what you need to fight with.” Wolf said pulling me in closer to him on our seat in the shuttle as it just was about to land.

“So, what does this mean, I can now help with operations?” I asked I began to feel excited but nervous.

“Yes, but not fully as we are still trying to figure out stuff” Brock said sternly, putting me in place letting me know I don’t have control. Which was kind of frighten making me snug right into Wolf to feel little safer. I am pretty sure Wolf was glad that I did.

We began to enter the building, exiting the shuttle that was not filling up with other passengers from around. I gazed up at the building and saw it looked like shining stick of silver. It did not have much to it, it didn’t even look special as looked like a silver stick was put on some plank of medal.

We walked in and was instantly welcome by a girl reception who looked up briefly at us then straight back down to her work. Wolf lightly placing a hand on my back guided me to black and very shiny steps that looked like they had a curve to them leading up.

Brock hurried before us almost looked like he was going to trip on the steps as his steps were so hasty. Within a second, he was gone up the second floor. Wolf and I looked at one another in confusion.

“Don’t ask me… I have no idea why he did that” Wolf said in his defence.

We continued on up the stairs to be welcomed by two giants silver type of glass doors. Behind them seemed that very little day light came in as it beamed with lights of computer or what looked like floating glass monitors.

We went forward again with Wolf at my side lacing his hands smoothly down my arm in my hand. With touch being gently almost letting my hair stand on the edge. He brought up my hand to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on my hand. Pulling me back little bit. Making me turned to him in confusion again as we were only a few steps away from entering whatever was behind those doors.

Looking at his face, this time he looked worried almost scared.

“Asema… the operation to finding Junior as the priority it finding Kieran and putting him to trial” He spoke to me softly almost as if he did not want to hurt me with his words.

“I understand, I just want to find him” I confessed. “Closer with clues, the closer I can hold him.

“…Remember what I said… don’t take it personal with any of the comments from the other soldiers” Wolf warned.

I stepped forward and kissed him on his soft lips taking every second I could to embrace his gently touch. Wolf embraced me by running his hands up both sides of my biceps. I pulled back a little just enough to looked in to beautiful green eyes.

“As long as I have you by my side, nothing can defeat me” I said with power.

Wolf smiled at my words. And pulled me towards the doors. From silenced outside when we entered, it was silent beeping and chatter amongst the people. A like in the office as what the atmosphere felt like.

Wolf guided me through this futuristic technology while pointing out what stations are for what.

“We have land treaty here, managing the countries and civilization of laws.” I nodded as the maps that hovers in the air was well looked like a screen table.

“Stats of royals family,” I nodded. “Oh, there is Brock,” Wolf seemed a bit surprised. My gaze went to the man who ditched us. We went over to him joining at a table where looks as records and picture were being displayed on the glass screens. Moment later I realized it was Kieran in a odd royal picture.

“Brock, what happened?” Wolf asked still holding my hand as I wanted to leave and find Junior. I focused on the information and oddly enough it didn’t give me headaches from the brightness of screens in a dark room.

“I realized last minute I need to keep up to date on what Kieran trial and arrest plans” Brock replied and completely ignore the rest of us.

“Alright.” Wolf spoke behind me and took me hand leading me to different floating screen glass hologram table. “Let look over here” He said.

I looked down at the table it was a map of a place, though I not sure. It was from outer space type of view till I realize I was looking at Russia from outer space. Fascinating, I was in wonder of the beautiful that the hologram bestowed.

“This is the area that we have been able to narrow down where Kieran and your son is” tall dirty blonde man said.

I looked up to see that he was leaning on the table arms out and wide. He looked concentrated and concerned at the same time.

“But that is how far we only gotten.” He spoke again this time in frustration.

Looking down at the map, and cocked my head a little, I started to think where would he have gone. I reached my hands to the screen but realized it was more of a hologram. It did not really feel anything like a computer on my hands but rather did feel like I was touching something but not sure exactly what it was.

I began to enlarge the map looking more closely through Russia. I never realize how beautiful it was, I kept pacing through till I was all the way to the other end of Russia. I stopped and glided the map back to the middle of the country and fully enlarged it.

“What are you doing” I heard Wolf’s voice say.

“Give me a moment” I replied.

I kept enlarging it till I was struck with a town. I looked at it closely.

He would only live by a place that would call him king and a town that didn’t know much about the outside world…as well he would make he still had some connecting to this world so his power aren’t gone but enough have something weakened. I told myself.

I glided the map out of the middle and more in to the mountain area where it was thick. I enlarged the map again to the thick group of mountains. Low and behold a little small mansion with gardens that looked like they were meant to be hidden.

“There” I pointed at the spot.

The man rushed over to my side and stared down at the map. Wolf slowly brought me to his side and hugged me.

“How?” He whispered in my ear. “That was literally only two minutes or less” He said still sounding stunned.

I didn’t want to admit because I was afraid what they would think. Though if I didn’t say anything they would wonder.

“I lived with him for many months… I know how he thinks… though my first assumption was wrong…” I said quietly.

The man sighed and looked at me and Wolf. He searched the map again and sighed frustration.

“Asema is correct I see a two blonde boys. This is where they are.” He said then turned slowly towards me.

“I find this insulting, I should have been able to find him not some woman who spend only year and half with him.”

I squinted my eyes at the man. “Because I do know him better than anyone.” I stated the fact.

“You know that is a knife in the back” His voice now rough.

My eyes searched for him till I realized some resemblance to him as almost went ice cold. He seemed older then Emily but was younger than Kieran. He looks late in his late thirties but obviously was older than appeared. Then a few second later I grabbed on to Wolf who was behind as fear trembled through my body. The man had similar facial features to Kieran. It frightened me which Wolf could tell.

I realized it was also the man I bumped into that Emily had to drag me away from.

“Asema it’s okay… he is a brother of Kieran… most of his brothers like him here have turned against him. They want to get rid of him.” Wolf said still trying to reassure me that I was safe.

I should have been confirming his way of saying that, but same time, this man reminded me to much of Kieran.

“Whats your name” I demand

“Kaeden… son of the third—”

I cut him off. “I don’t want to know or need to hear your life story and royal process crap…” I took a deep breath again. “Why is it a knife in your back?” I demanded of him. But he looked rather astonished that he was being cut off, as if it was the first time that it happened to him.

“You saying you know my brother better? You didn’t grow up with him and fight with in battles—“

I put my hand up again cutting him off. But I just felt this surge of power in me. I felt confident, I felt in control, no one was going to stop me.

“You may have grown up with your brother… but I lived with someone him, he is truly a monster for months…” I took a breath and stood my ground so that everyone would hear me. “So when I say I know him and know how his mind works, don’t you dare doubt me.” I took another breath a anger dwelled in me. “I know his fighting secrets,” I spat

“…Fine…” Kaeden started off awkwardly. “If you truly believe all of that then you have the floor.” He turned away just as Brock joined us.

Wolf and I joined Brock looking down at the hologram map. I saw a spot that was perfectly hidden but close enough to retreat if had to. But I hope that was not the case. Raised my hand and pointed.

“There” I said with confident.

“Uhh… why there.” Brock said hesitantly.

“The area is perfect, it is open and just enough space to hide”

“Then I guess we better start planning,” Wolf said with a beaming smile on his face.

“Wait” Brock said zooming into foot prints but big foots prints, “There are giant tracks, what are they doing there?”

I followed the gaze, and shrugged, “maybe just a pass by?” While I processing his statement that giants lived in this world.

Wolf looked with Brock and shook his head, “No I think there may be giants there, but that land is not declared for them.”

I felt my shoulder slumped, “Does that interfere with our plans?” I half hoped they would say no and that we leave now.

Wolf sighed and looked towards Brock who also looked as if he was thinking.

“We are going” Wolf assured me, “but we will have to be cautious, and would need to go in slow, but we are getting our son back.”

A smile spread across my face, finally I would will be able to hold my son again.
