Unknown Darkness (2)

Chapter 12

Wolf.

To Wolf, Asema looked like she had lost all her energy at that moment and passed out, was she really saving all her energy till now?

Wolf looked from Asema to Kieran who was still surrounded by the pack members and a few soldiers. Kieran looked surprisingly scared of what might happen to him. Wolf had that sense of satisfaction that he actually made Kieran scared. He made the Darkness scared. That meant something. Kieran stopped looking around and made eye contact with Wolf.

“Times up for you, now it’s time to pay the penalty” Wolf sneered, and was about to drop down on all fours when Kieran replied.

“You may think that you smelly beast, but I am just getting started.” Kieran said and his face went from fear to laughing smirk.

He was too fast, as he ran to the a door opens it and carries a shrieking child with him as he jumps high in the air and off the balcony onto the floor with a big loud thud.

Wolf raced to the balcony and looked to where Kieran had landed. Wolf didn’t think. He commanded Brock who happen to be beside him to take of Asema and he ran after Kieran.

Racing down the stairs and jumping around a corner to another row of stairs. He didn’t hesitate, he ran down and another corner into a room with a ajar door and saw Kieran grabbing knifes and stuffing them in bags. While the boy was sitting on the ground arms wrapped around his legs scared, paled face and face streaked with tears.

“Give it up Kieran” Wolf said advancing now with caution.

Kieran dropped the bag and whipped a throwing a knife at Wolf. Luckily, he was fast enough to sense what was happening and duck at the right moment and heard the clank of the knife hit the floor. Wolf got a feeling his Lycan intentions in him wanting to transform but he didn’t.

“You honestly think that you are going to win against The Darkness?” Kieran said then laughed. “That honestly so pathetic” and grabbed a sword with bright bronze colour to it and pointed at Wolf. To which he stood back a bit, he knew with his training on how to hit out a sword, knife and weapon. But this was no ordinary weapon it was the one that kills Lycans and Immortals there were only few in the world left because how rare they were. To also they can only be used once. Wolf wondered how Kieran even got a hold of it in the first place.

“Where did you get that?” Wolf ordered Kieran.

Kieran laughed. “You can’t order me around,” he began admiring the blade, then lunged towards Wolf.

Wolf instincts never failed him, as his claws came out and were swayed to the side enough to slight knock the blade out Kieran hand. Kick him away from the boy and himself. Kieran staggered a little and turned back shocked that someone was able to do something so simple. Wolf could tell this made him angry and charged at Wolf again but made sure he couldn’t be beaten away.

This time jumping into his punch that created force of power that Wolf struggled to push away, but thrusted Kieran slightly away with his whole body. Wolf thrusted a kick into Kieran gut that made him take a sharp groan. And forced two arms down towards Kieran who was now in a squatting position. Kieran blocked with a sharp throbbing through Wolf bones.

They kept at it fighting, Kieran would try take advances towards Junior but Wolf would drag him back beating him. They were both powerful but the only advantage Wolf had was the Kieran was terrified of Lycans and only reason he wasn’t properly fighting back was because of fear.

Soon Wolf started to wonder if any men were trying to find him in order to help arrest Kieran. But that didn’t seem like it as it would be happening soon.

Problem, this side track his mind gave Kieran an opening who slammed Wolf painfully into the ground. Wolf puffed out air and slightly shouted from the pain as he could feel something had broken but wasn’t sure.

Wolf looked up as his vision regained and saw Kieran turn around and a portal appeared. He looked at it and looked back to Wolf who was in pain struggling to get up. Kieran picked the kid up and planted him on his side. But the boy was thrashing and crying making it not easy for Kieran to hold him.

“You won’t be able to catch me unless I want to be caught.” Kieran said smirking. Then was about to step forward when Wolf spoke which made Kieran stop dead center in his tracks.

“I believe we can… since I traced Asema by our child and only Lycans can walked through your barrier.” Wolf said spitting out some blood, he would heal soon.

Kieran looked back at Wolf in complete surprise.

“That is not possible.” Kieran whispered, as Wolf was struggling to his knees, but Kieran stepped through portable with Wolf’s son and with that the portal vanished. Leaving Wolf looking at a bare wall in complete silence. Wolf shook his head and balance himself on his feet and slowly made his way back to everyone.

“Where is the boy” Brock asked Wolf

They all looked at one another and Wolf wanted cry.

“He has my son…” Wolf said quietly.

Wolf went forward to his men.

“Create the portal now, Pacific Rim is only safety at the moment” Wolf said in harsh voice to Brock.

Wolf was now almost healed, enough to give him strength to pick up Asema limp body. He made his way through the mansion and outside where dawn was about to start.

A few warriors gathered together, creating a spell that would make a portal, transferring them to Pacific Rim. A few of the Lycans, acknowledge he would not return with them to camp and they are to give the news to his parents. The Lycans set off with goodbyes to Wolf and wishing him luck.

He couldn’t stop Kieran from getting away and taking their child in such, now he was out in the world as a threat and he needed to protect Asema more than ever.

He looked down at her while the group set up the portal bits, she seemed so fragile now that he was so afraid of moving her and breaking her that he felt little useless now. This moment felt like a little victory for him, he did save her. He sighed. What did his son experience and how on earth did Asema protect him?

The portal was created and like a rippling picture, there it held the shining city of Pacific Rim, a city dedicated to Immortals, that had one of the warriors academy. Wolf pursed his lips together and stepped forward.

He arrived at the hospital and was directed firmly by one of the healers to the special ward. The room that was private and white, with a view of Pacific Rim that seemed like it was from another world.

Afternoon light streamed in casting the room to be brighter than normal.

Wolf placed Asema body on the bed and covered her with a blanket. Studied her for a moment and looked back at the mechanical city outside as shuttles as boxes with windows flew by, along with trains as transportation floating through the air above the city.

Wolf always thought this city was unique as it almost function like a machine from afar but closer it was like you were casted back in time as well thrusted into the future.

He sighed and sat in the chair placed by the bed. It was the only two of them and he waited to for her wake up. But he noticed something. Nothing glinted around her neck. Her necklace was gone. Yet her power seems to be maintained. Wolf pushed those thoughts aside and leaned on his knees burying his face into his hands.

“I swore to protect you, and yet I can’t even do that…” he allowed a tear to trail down his cheek. “I even failed to protect our own family.”
