Chapter 11.1
The fighting ring was in its usual state with the targets and the blades hidden in a moving storage. I was wearing my combat clothing as Kieran was wearing his black fighting clothes. We were both looking at weapons to see which one we would like to use.
“You know” Kieran started and I turned my gaze to him as he was on the same side as me. He picked up a dagger that wasn’t elegant rather it looked like something knights or pirates would use. It was curved and sharp. “It doesn’t matter on what weapon, rather matters on how good the fighter uses it.” He spoke as if taunting me.
I just looked at him then to the blade he was holding, I wanted so badly to plunge that into his neck and let him bleed out. But I knew that was not possible. It was not the right blade.
I looked back the weapons rack studying the blades that laid there and hung from the rails.
“Then why did I beat you with a big sword? That other time we fought” I said smirking to myself.
I heard Kieran sigh, “Because you are learning how to fight dirty and well,” replied then I heard him walk away towards the circle.
Rolling my eyes, and started thinking of ways to escape or how it would be possible to escape.
I saw a red claymore blade that looked like it was already dripping blood, so I took it and turned to face Kieran.
He seemed to have one of those ancient knights swords. He smiled at me and I went forward joining him in the circle.
Standing the opposite of him I extended my blade pointing the sharp tip towards him showing him I was ready. But all he did was standing there with the sword sharp point digging into the concrete. I gave him a puzzled look thinking was I missing something. What was he up to? Why is he damaging his blade?
“What?” I finally asked.
“I am not going to do any of this” Kieran said still assumed.
I brought down my blade letting my arm hang by my side.
“Why not, you love dueling with me” I protested.
“I am not going to do anything until you come over here and kiss me” he replied with cocking his head.
I stared at him this time not in confusion but rather anger. But I felt at that moment anything would be okay a odd sense of something that is calming.
I sighed and advance toward Kieran who seemed more than happy that I was coming to him. I stop infront of him, my body was almost shaking, and my heart started to beat like a loud drum out of my chest.
I placed one hand on his shoulder while the other hand was still occupied by the blade, which may give me a better opportunity. But Kieran was quick to think placing his hand over my guarded hand. No bad movements now.
I swallowed and leaned up and slightly touched his lips. It wasn’t rough because I made sure of it, though Kieran somehow still had control in this kiss. He was deepening on me then broke away, tracing his lips down to my neck and kissing it lightly letting me go as I staggered back to my originally spot.
“That was good, now this time see if that distraction still takes your anger” Kieran smirked.
I frowned at him then lunged swinging my blade to the side, he blocked me but I did not care because I would try many different ways. Anything just to get a nick on him or somehow make him slump to the ground.
I swung again this time up high coming down, surprisingly enough Kieran got the block but was little lower considering he looked like he was going to try and advance.
It gave me a bit of confidence knowing that the kiss I gave him provided some distraction. He staggered back little bit and I smiled.
I twirled and swung again giving me more power but Kieran was fast enough that he blocked that advance again, resulting the vibration through the swords to be a little painful. This time I didn’t stagger back.
I didn’t let the swords heaviness take anything away from me but rather I went low and swung my feet under Kieran which took him by surprise. As he landed with a hard noise and low groan of pain.
He had slammed onto his back and I placed my foot on his neck pointing down my sword at him. I felt like had for a victory. He looked up at me placing his hands on my foot and smiled.
“Wow, you have been learning well” he said darkly. It would’ve have given me the chills but didn’t this time considered where I stood and he didn’t.
When I was about to open my mouth, he pushed on my foot and made me flip in the air losing my sword. I landed on the ground hard knocking the air out of my lungs. I heard my sword clattering beside a little distance away.
I looked up at Kieran who was sitting up from the same place he was laying and smirking at me.
“You know it’s always amusing when you think you have overpowered me” He spoke, getting a kick out my failure.
I sneered my fangs at him, got up grabbing my sword and charged at him. Kieran was faster than me already on his feet and defending every blow that I threw at him.
“Come on Asema hit me harder, that angry dwells in you!” Kieran shouted, he began taunting again.
The anger burned inside of me indeed, I wanted to kill him I want to watch him suffer. I started hitting harder and harder making the sword become heavy and the vibration harder hurting my arms and hands but I would not let that stop me.
I kept going. I swung at Kieran anyway to make him tired but knowing it was doing worse to me. Kieran who was still mocking had me now in a pretzel holding my blade.
I stomped on his foot and he fell back in a groan. Now was my chance. I swung at Kieran shoulder letting it dig deep into his flesh. He screamed in pain and ripped out the sword with blood now streaming down his shoulder and the dagger dripping blood on the floor. Kieran stared up at me in shock.
“That was the wrong move” He darkly whispered. Then pointed the bloody sword. “You know that doesn’t kill so what are your actual intentions?” His voice was becoming louder.
He was right in front of me grabbing my shirt and bringing me close to his face with a dagger inches from my cheek.
My breathing started to get rapidly dangerous. I knew Kieran would never hurt me as physically cause a stab wound but the fear was there. The anger in his eyes were so much more dangerous than I could have ever imagined.
Did I really go too far this time? Should I defend myself and run, but how could I with Junior?
These thought though had silenced, Kieran as I realised he was talking to me with a frown turning into a dangerous smile with the knife getting closer to my face. Then a surge of power filled me again and I didn’t even think this time all I knew was get Junior and run. Now was my chance to escape. If it was possible.
I brought up my hands and commanded all the elements to blast Kieran away from me. They did so and Kieran was blasted away hitting the wall on the other end and didn’t move. My heart was racing and my breathing becoming faster I looked at Kieran crumpled body then turned and lighting speed up the stairs, around the corner up to the second floor and into Junior rooms.
