Chapter 11
Asema
My energy was beginning to give up and I don’t know how long I would be able to keep strong for Junior. I loved my son with all my heart but some days it was just too hard.
We had just come in from the outside patio and my mind has been on that animal that Junior saw or felt. I was not convinced that it was just a doe unless Kieran was so naive about something like that. He hasn’t changed anything where we are but rather he seemed to be relaxed about it. Believing it was a only a animal in the wilderness and that is it.
I took off my coat and set it on the arm hair by the window and slumped into chair feeling the cushion press against my skin and looked at the bed.
I really hope that Kieran would not come to bed tonight and just stay in his office like usual and be buried into his work.
Since Junior was born, he is spending less time in office and more around Junior and would be spending the evenings to the nights in office. Which I like because he wasn’t in the bed when I fell asleep. Though I only saw him when I woke up. From that I would go to Junior just to go see him and get distance from Kieran.
I have thought about running away with Junior but it would be way to hard especially running with a child and fact the force field was still up. Though I am still convinced that Wolf and his pack were just around that corner to come get us.
I looked up at the ceiling and there was nothing, there were no designs which made me look back at the bed, to the huge window wall. I could see that the sun starting to descend but it was still in the sky making the objects shadows become darker and longer.
It was bringing me peace for a bit and a smile formed on my face. I really wish Junior would be here but Kieran in his selfishness would make sure that I would get no time with Junior in the evenings.
I heard Kieran walk into the room. I quickly called in my strength from all the elements and rested on them. Turning my head to face Kieran he was looked back at me and smiling like usual. Soon enough he was right at the arm chairs looking down at me,
“So, what shall I do you this late evening” Kieran dark voice slithered out.
I thought deeply and honestly what I needed to do was run and drag Junior behind.
“Well, to get my anger out why don’t we duel” I suggested.
Kieran cocked his head at me, and gave me a curious looked like I indulged him with something he wanted to find out more.
“Well,” Kieran chuckled. “That is curious, are you really suggesting that? How about something else” Kieran replied. Then pulled me out of the chair forcefully and my back was up against the bed post. Looking up at him with my fast-beating heart pounding in my cheat. Though it’s been calmer now that I summoned the elements.
Of course, Kieran planted a hard one on my lips and forcefully pulling my lips apart. Though something popped in my head and I don’t know why I did it but I took a chance knowing the consequences.
I ripped away my mouth gasping for air. Then felt my fangs appear and bit his neck. I didn’t drink or anything rather I just bit then let go.
Though Kieran still had a strong grip on my waist he backed up a little and looked down at me in confusion to also wonder.
“You bit me….” Kieran said in still confusion and wonder. “Why did you bite me?” I looked at him in disbelief. “Says the one who bites me,” I protested. “Besides I gave a suggestion and you didn’t take it.”
Kieran looked at me in and cocked his head like I was something to investigate. He reached back to where I bit him and came back with little blood like it nicked him as it already healed.
“Asema… if you really want to duel then why do I hear your voice quivering” Kieran inquired stood back a little.
“Please.” I begged quietly.
All he did was just huff a laugh that turned into full blown loud holler as if I told a good joke.
“What is so funny?” I questioned in horror.
“It’s just you resist dueling because you hate my wise tactics, but then suddenly after almost over a year you suggest a dueling match” Kieran waved his hand a bit still laughing. “Something is up or you really want to blow off some steam” he said putting his hands in his pockets and looked at me smiling.
I did not feel the complete satisfaction that this was good news rather I got the feeling that I was on the road to hell and had no idea how to get out. I was starting to wobble on my legs and grabbed onto the pole of the bed to steady myself.
“You know” I started which caught Kieran attention as he was about to turn around and walk to the couches. “you love teaching me, so why stop now?” I pointed out.
This time there was no wondering or confusion just that evil happy look like he had a mastermind in plan and I was in crap for destroying it.
“You have a mouth, and you use it in ways of undermining my thoughts.” Kieran said turned around again and headed for couches, sat in one of them and started reading some papers.
While I was just holding onto that pole staring at him.
“You know” Kieran said then looked at me. “Instead of staring you can just come over here and sit” he smiled at me.
“Why?”
Kieran kept looking at me and cocked his head at me and studied me for a bit.
“Okay then let us do some sword fighting that way you can get your anger out on me” he agreed finally.
At that moment some energy flowed into me.
Kieran smiled and we both got up and dressed.
