Chapter 13 

DENISE 

Just as Brandon asked. I didn’t move a single inch from the bed until he returned. 

My heart was racing as i basked in the afterglow of what had transpired between us a few moments ago. I couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy and excitement coursing through my veins as I sot, the memories that were a bit too vivid flooding my mind. 

Arya was just as excited, the two of us unable to contain our emotions. I bit my lip then pressed them against each other, looking around me as thoughts of us continuing from where we left off danced in my mind, fueling my anticipation for his return 

As shameless as it sounded, I didn’t mind keeping my lips sealed about my real identity for as long as he wanted as long as he was always going to touch and please me like he did few moments ago. 

The overwhelming feeling was unexplainable, his every touch lingering. It felt so good. So sensual and only got better with every second that passed 

Needless to say, I just wanted it to go on and on. 

A shy smile appeared on my face as I quickly got lost in thoughts. But not for long though as I was quickly pulled back to reality by the sound of the room door getting opened, Brandon finally appearing in front of me. 

“You’re back,” I called out to him, sitting up. My eyes immediately lit up, my smile continuing to form on my face. “Hi” 

Fully clothed, his eyes roamed my naked body, an unfamiliar expression immediately appearing on his face. Before I could try to decipher what he meant, he replied me, doing me the favor 

“Put on your clothes.” 

“What?” I almost stuttered, looking at him. “My clothes 

“I have somewhere to be. You should head back to your room 

My smile faltered, a pang of disappointment immediately washing over me. I hadn’t realized how much I wanted us to continue our passionate encounter until he uttered those words and shattered my every hope, 

“Okay.” 

Suppressing my thought, I slowly rose to my feet and compiled to his instructions, picking up my clothes to throw them back on. I could still feel. his eyes on me as I got dressed fully and by the time I was done, without hesitation I walked towards the door and stepped out, 

He was probably right. Since he was abruptly called to attend to pack matters, he probably indeed had more pressing matters to attend to than to satisfy a desperate little girl 

I finally made it to my room and immediately pushed the door to step in, a feeling of emptiness doing the same. Alone in a room and pack that was still pretty much unfamiliar and new to me, i suddenly felt lonely 

I had no one but my wolf and since we both had the same stance, it was safe to say I was alone. Left to figure out how to navigate my way around my new pack and life. 

Before I could allow myself drown in my thoughts and settle in my solitude, I was interrupted by a light knock on my room door. Immediately at alert, I took a few seconds before asking whoever it was to come in. 

Much to my surprise, the door was opened to reveal Bella walking in, a smile on her face. 

“Hello, ma’am,” her smile was warm as she strode in. “I came in to check up on you.” 

“Oh, Bella,” I couldn’t believe I was that glad to see her. I just needed a liule company regardless of whoever it could be. “Hello, I am great, thank 

you. 

“Are you settling in well, ma’am?” She asked. “Is everything up to your taste! 17l be escorting you to the market tomorrow to get you some new things but before then, is there anything you need me to do for you?” 

“How about you stop calling me ma’am and just Denise!” I sighed. “I’m still young and you calling me ma’am makes me feel so old!” 

“I’m sorry,” she bowed lightly. “You’re just the Alpha Prince’s personal assistant. It’s only natural I accord you with as much respect 

“Oh,” a thought immediately struck me and I sat up, my eyes lightening up. “You should call me Denise. But before then, come sit. I have a question 1/2 

Chapter 13 

for you. 

She blinked, watching me tap the empty space next to me on my bed in a gesture for her to sit. She obviously hesitated for a while before finally walking towards me to join me on the bed. 

“Tell me about Brandon,” I went straight to the point. “I know I work with him but I still feel like I don’t know him well enough. You are his staff so I feel like you’ll know him in ways I wouldn’t know.” 

“Huh?” She smiled lightly. “I’m not sure can i-‘ 

“Come on.” I drew 

w closer to her. “I’m bored out of my mind so just tell me. Please?” 

“Alright,” she sunk in a deep breath then nodded. “I don’t know much but I’ll try to tell you the little things I know about him.” 

“Thank you,” 

“There’s not much to the Alpha Prince,” she began. “But first, I have to say he is a very disciplined person. He is strict and abides by his morals and rarely goes against his principles.” 

“Oh?” I could already testify to those myself. “Okay, go on.” 

“That’s basically the most important information about him,” she continued. “As the first child, I guess it’s natural to have those qualities. He is superior and compared to his brothers, he just has that aura to him. He is-” 

“He has brothers?” I had to interrupt her to say, “Brandon isn’t an only child?” 

She paused to spare me a glance and from her expression, I could tell she was surprised I didn’t know about his brothers. 

“Didn’t you already know that?” 

“No,” I shook my head. “I didnt. I thought he was-” 

It was my turn to pause my words, the realization of how little I knew about him hitting me. All I knew was that he was my mate and the prince of this pack. I didn’t know about his family, relative or even friends he probably had. 

I tried to console myself with the fact that we had only met few days ago but almost immediately, gol reminded of the fact that he wanted to keep me and my real identity hidden. 

Was that the reason he never mentioned having brothers? Did he intend on never showing my face to his brothers at all! 

I clicked my tongue, slowly nodding my head. That was probably the case. He was trying to keep me hidden from everyone and that his immediate family members. 

I could do that. After all, I’d promised to stay hidden and conceal my identity for as long as 1 could. 

But deep down, I couldn’t deny, something in me just wanted to know more about his brothers. 

It was a sudden spark of curiosity. Ignited in me so suddenly. 

And unfortunately, one I was going to have to douse no matter how hard it could be.
