Chapter the Wife 90
Chapter 90 A Fresh Start
Just as he expected, Anders came to the restaurant.
Calvin felt a sense of satisfaction.
To be honest, he was jealous of Anders.
Thinking about how Anders knew Sally since high school made Calvin feel uneasy.
If he had shown up earlier, Sally wouldn’t have suffered so much.
If he had appeared sooner, maybe Sally would be his wife now, and she wouldn’t have anything to do with that jerk Anders.
The more Calvin thought about it, the angrier he got.
Seeing Anders’s angry expression, Calvin couldn’t help but smile.
This guy had bullied Sally for so long, and today, Calvin wanted him. to taste defeat.
“Mr. Anders?” Calvin maintained his gentle smile, “What brings you here? Is there something you need? Sally and I are having dinner. Would you like to join us? Don’t worry, it’s on me. Order whatever you like.”
The owner sensed trouble and quickly went to the kitchen.
Anders was furious hearing Calvin’s arrogant words.
This dog dared to insult him so openly!
Anders’s face darkened, and he suddenly laughed coldly, “Who do you think you are? Coming to a place Sally and I used to visit, don’t you realize she’s treating you as my substitute?”

Sally couldn’t believe Anders’s absurd thoughts!
A substitute? What substitute!
She never saw Calvin as Anders’s substitute.
Moreover, she no longer had any romantic feelings for Anders.
Thinking about what he did to her and Andy, Sally felt nothing but. pain and disgust.
With Anders in the restaurant, Sally lost her appetite, and Calvin noticed it too. He smiled understandingly, “I’m full. How about you?”
Sally stood up immediately and went to pay the bill.
Watching her walk away, Anders mocked Calvin, “What? Coming out with a woman and letting her pay? When did you become a gigolo?”
Calvin laughed instead of getting angry, “And you, my friend, don’t. even have the qualifications to be a gigolo.”
“You!” Anders was about to confront him when Sally, having paid the bill, quickly intervened.
“Enough!” Sally said impatiently, “If you want to argue, do it outside! This is someone’s business; they need to make a living!”
Anders finally relented.
The three left the restaurant. Calvin wanted to take Sally to the nearby pedestrian street, but Anders seemed determined to follow them, annoying Calvin.
“Mr. Anders, do you still have something to say?” Calvin kept his smile, but Sally detected a hint of gritted teeth.
“Of course,” Anders glanced at Sally, “But I can’t tell you.”

Calvin knew Anders was provoking him.
He wanted to say more, but Sally spoke first, “I have things to do. I’m heading back.”
Calvin quickly offered, “Sally, let me drive you back?”
Sally immediately waved her hand, “No need. I already called a cab.
Soon, a taxi stopped by the curb.
Sally hurried into the car.
Once the door closed, she sighed with relief.
Those two together always meant trouble!
Sally didn’t want to be caught in their crossfire.
She planned to rest once she got home, but as soon as she
stepped out of the car, she saw Anders standing by her building!
Damn!
Sally’s eyes widened.
How did he get here so fast?
And why was he here?
Sally tried to convince herself he was here for something else, not
her.
She wanted to walk past him, but Anders blocked her way.
Sally felt a chill down her spine.
Anders looked down at her, “I’m already here. Won’t you invite me up?”
Sally felt like cursing.
Was he here to cause trouble?
Sally took a deep breath and looked him in the eye, “Anders, did you come here just to see me?”
Anders raised an eyebrow, “If that’s what you think, I won’t argue.”
Sally tried to walk around him, but Anders blocked her again.
Just as she was about to curse him, Anders looked at her pitifully,”
I don’t feel well.”
Sally found him strange, “If you’re unwell, go to a hospital. Why come to me?”
Anders replied, “I want some hot water.”
Sally pointed to the street, “There are plenty of stores out there. You can get hot water anywhere.”
Anders’s expression changed.
He continued looking pitiful, “But I want the hot water you make.”
Sally: “???”
Anders rubbed his temples, “I feel terrible. I’m about to collapse.”
Sally was stunned, “Didn’t you just say you were fine?”
Anders leaned on her shoulder, “I really feel terrible…”
Sally had no choice but to take him to the elevator.
At her door, she fumbled with the keys, probably because Anders. was leaning on her.
Anders watched quietly, a small smile playing on his lips.
She was nervous.
She still cared about him, didn’t she?
Sally helped Anders into the living room and let him sit on the sofa.
“Wait here. I’ll get you some water, Sally said, putting down her bag and heading to the kitchen.
Anders secretly watched her busy figure.
For some reason, he felt a sense of peace.
If those things hadn’t happened, maybe he and Sally would be a happy, loving couple now….
Realizing his thoughts were drifting, Anders quickly refocused.
Sally brought a glass of warm water and handed it to him, “Drink up!”
“You feed me,” Anders smiled.
Sally got angry.
She slammed the glass on the table, “Drink it if you want!”
As she turned to leave, Anders quickly grabbed her and pulled her onto the sofa!
“Ah-”
Sally screamed.
Anders hovered over her, looking at her gently.
Sally felt goosebumps all over!
“What are you doing!” Sally tried to push him away.
But Anders held her firmly, she couldn’t move.
Chapter 90 A Fresh Start
“Sally, let’s start over,” Anders said seriously, looking into her eyes.
“What?” Sally looked at him in shock.
“I’m serious,” Anders said, “Let’s put the past behind us and start fresh.”
Anders expected to see a smile on Sally’s face, but instead, her eyes were cold as ice.
