Chapter the Wife 80
Chapter 80 Cooking for Her
She didn’t want to be deceived by this man anymore.
Previously, she thought Calvin was nice certainly better than scoundrels like Anders and Daniel.
But Sally hadn’t expected…
Calvin turned out to be no different from those guys.
Thinking about her misfortunes, Sally’s heart filled with resentment.
The events of last night made her question Calvin’s character.
Even if Calvin didn’t know she was his blind date, he could have easily had his assistant call her to cancel.
Instead, he sent someone to humiliate her!
If Anders hadn’t arrived in time…
Sally felt a headache coming on.
Speaking of which, Anders’s appearance hadn’t made her happy either.
Ugh, scoundrels!
Sally snapped back to the present, looking at the man in front of her. “I don’t know you well. If you have nothing to say I’m closing the door.”
Sally tried to push Calvin away, but he suddenly stepped forward and tightly embraced her!
“Ah-” Sally screamed, trying to break free from Calvin’s hold, but he didn’t budge.
Unable to escape, Sally glared at him angrily, “What? Here to cause trouble?”
Calvin’s face was full of remorse, “Sally, I’m sorry. I really didn’t know it was you I was supposed to meet last night, so I…”
“So, you sent someone to humiliate me?” Sally retorted without hesitation,” Calvin, your morals are really low.”
Calvin tried to explain. “Rally, many women have tried to get close to my grandfather to win my favor. I thought this time was no different, so t…”
Sally found his face increasingly disgusting
“So what? Sally said as she struggled out of Calvin’s embrace, “That’s your business. Anyway, we don’t know each other well, and you don’t need to
explain. It’s unnecessary.”
Calvin looked quilty.
Sally asked him to leave, but Calvin didn’t move. She scoffed, turning to sit on
the sofa, but Calvin followed her.
“Why are you coming in?” Sally’s anger flared again, “Get out! Stay away from
me
Calvin noticed something unusual about her hand.
“What’s wrong with your hand?” Calvin asked, shocked.
Sally instinctively looked down, seeing blood oozing from an old wound. Her face turned pale.
But she didn’t want to show weakness in front of someone she disliked.
“It’s none of your business. If you have nothing to do here, leave! I don’t want to see you again.” Sally’s words were harsh,
However, Calvin’s eyes fell on the first aid kit nearby.
He opened the kit and took out gauze and medication.
“What are you doing?” Sally asked in surprise. Calvin ignored her, taking her hand and carefully treating the wound.
Sally tried to pull her hand back, but Calvin didn’t let her.
After treating her wound, Calvin stood up.
“Take care and rest. I’ll visit another day.” He said, leaving without looking back.
Sally watched him leave, feeling conflicted.
Was this guy out of his mind today?
Looking at the bandage on her hand, she felt a wave of dislike.
She needed to find a way to stay away from Calvin!
Thinking of Mr. Berkeley, Sally sighed.
She was going to disappoint the old man.
Just as Sally was heading to her bedroom to rest, there was another knock on
the door!
She felt a wave of irritation,
Could Calvin be back?
Sally didn’t want to answer, but the knocking persisted, growing more insistent.
Frustrated, Sally marched to the door and yanked it open, ready to snap, “Can’t you give it a rest…*
Seeing who stood before her, Sally’s words stuck in her throat.
It was Anders.
Anders!
Sally’s expression softened slightly but remained guarded.
Anders felt a surge of anger at Sally’s attitude.
“What? Disappointed to see me?” Anders said through gritted teeth.
Sally took a deep breath and coldly asked, “Mr. Anders, what do you want?”
Anders stepped into the living room without waiting for an invitation.
“Hey, you…” Sally trailed off.
Was this guy crazy?
“Anders, you entered without my permission. This is trespassing! I could call the police!” Sally threatened.
Anders turned and glared at her, “Call the police? Go ahead. You’re my wife, and yet you flirt with other men. Let’s see who the police arrest, you or me!”
Sally was so angry she laughed.
“Anders, you’re impossible!” Sally’s face flushed with anger, “I disappeared for six months. Our marriage is over. Mary is your future legal wife! Don’t you find
T
this disgusting?”
Anders didn’t expect Sally to speak so bluntly.
He clenched his fists and slammed something on the table!
Sally saw it was a thermos.
Seeing her confusion, Anders sneered, “I thought you hadn’t eaten breakfast, so I personally cooked for you. When I came to find you… ha, you were gone! Sally, where are your manners?”
Sally was filled with disgust..
She was exhausted.
She didn’t want any more entanglements with Anders.
Nor did she want to argue.
It was pointless.
Seeing Sally refuse to talk to him, Anders’s anger flared.
He grabbed her by the neck, “Don’t play dead! Do you think staying silent will make me let you go? Tell me, was Calvin here?”
Sally looked up at him, “So what if he was? You already knew, didn’t you? Why ask? Are you that desperate?”
“You!” Anders, enraged, shoved Sally onto the sofa!
Sally looked up at him, trying to break free, but she was no match for him.
“You heartless woman! After all I’ve done for you, you’re so cold–blooded! Do you like Calvin? Tell me!*
Anders tightened his grip, and Sally coughed.
He loosened his hold, but still pinned her down.
Sally found Anders utterly detestable, “Who I like is none of your business. Anders, don’t you think you’re meddling too much?”
“Meddling too much?” Anders retorted, “If hadn’t meddled last night, who knows where you’d be now!”
