Chapter 116 Sending My Wife To Work 

Liam exhaled a sigh of relief after they agreed to the terms of the contract. He would work tirelessly to accomplish his goal after becoming aware of his feelings. This decision prompted Liam to display various gestures of goodwill, most of which left Gwyneth unsure of how to 

react. 

One morning after the two had breakfast, Gwyneth went back to her room to grab her coat and documents. Liam was gone by the time she 

went downstairs. 

Initially, Gwyneth did not think much about it because she assumed he had gone straight to the office. However, she was shocked to 

discover Liam waiting outside after she put on her coat. He was well–groomed, leaning against the car, and bowed his head to fasten his 

cufflinks. 

Gwyneth asked curiously, “You–What are you doing?” 

Liam slowly raised his head, his eyes displaying a hint of amusement. The man responded, “I’m giving you a ride.” 

“Giving me a ride?” A stupefied Gwyneth repeated after him. 

She needed some time to process this. Alter bringing her an apple last night and assisting her with breakfast this morning by preparing 

the egg and butter, had this man now assumed the role of her driver? 

“Yes. What’s wrong? Am I not qualified to do that?” 

Gwyneth started laughing when she saw Liam nodding and confirming repeatedly in a serious manner. She teased, “I wouldn’t dare to think so. I’m just a little flustered because this trip would have been extremely costly.” 

Although Liam was aware that Gwyneth was making fun of him, he was not bothered by it. She had always been distant from him in the 

past, so it was a huge improvement for her to joke around with him. 

Meanwhile, Liam had moved to the passenger side. He bent down slightly and opened the car door for Gwyneth. Saying nothing, he 

smiled and extended his arm in an inviting gesture. 

Seeing this, Gwyneth felt her body go a little numb. If his employees witnessed what their president was doing, they would likely be so 

terrified that they would ask for a six month’s sick leave. On second thought, he did this to win her over and preserve their marriage. 

Gwyneth turned sharply and climbed into the passenger seat. She had a complicated expression on her face. 

Liam naturally noticed her gaze. He knew that their unfamiliarity and ill feelings would not disappear overnight. Fortunately, they had 

plenty of time to spare. He had time to make up for this. 

Gwyneth looked out the window and took in the quickly changing scenery. Her heart rate accelerated slightly. Although it was not her first time riding with Liam, their purpose and her mood this time were different. 

“If you’re tired, you can take a rest.” 

Gwyneth glanced over her shoulder when she heard this and studied Liam’s face from the side. She had never really admired his attractive 

face before. 

While they were waiting for the traffic light to turn green, Liam suddenly spoke after Gwyneth remained silent for a long time. Liam teased.” 

How is it? Do I look good?” 

Gwyneth’s mind began to buzz as the two made close eye contact. She rolled her eyes at him when she came back to her senses. She 

ridiculed him, saying, “I won’t say whether you look good or not, but you certainly have thick skin.” 

Gwyneth looked away, and Liam continued to smile and let out a few chuckles. 

Half an hour later, the car came to a halt before Glen Corporation’s entrance. Liam swiftly got out and opened the door for Gwyneth. 

She exited the vehicle and arched her eyebrows. She questioned, “Aren’t you worried that people will see you?” 

“What’s to worry about when I send my wife to work and open the car door for her?” Liam asked, sounding righteous and a little proud. 

She wanted to retort but was unable to do so confidently. She whirled around and hurried to the office. Surprisingly, Liam was following

With a gentle expression on his face, Liam slipped his hands into his pockets and said to her, “I’m just walking you into the building.” 

Many onlookers were captivated by this scene and stared at them with sparkling eyes. 

Gwyneth had to admit that she had no idea how to deal with the situation. 

Meanwhile, Gaspard was standing at the entrance and saw Gwyneth coming from afar. He had been waiting for her for a long time. He had been stopped by the security guard when he tried to enter the building. 

After the auction, Gaspard had been tricked and fell into his daughter’s trap, which had left him heavily in debt. Of course, he detested Gwyneth with every fiber of his being. He hated her even more when he saw her approach with an upbeat look on her face.
