Chapter 102 Being Ignored 

Hayden squinted involuntarily when he noticed Gwyneth’s adorable expression. He could not care less about Liar’s piercing gaze. 

Hayden moved closer to Gwyneth, stopping just short of touching her. He inquired. “Aside from returning the favor, do you think it would be too much to ask if I requested dinner with you?” 

Gwyneth jested. “I haven’t seen you in a while. Where did you learn this trick from?” 

Hayden’s demand and demeanor did not irritate Gwyneth, but she was overwhelmed with a sense of helplessness. She appreciated how kind this man was to her, but when it went too far, it became uncomfortable. 

It was impossible to deny that the two were friends after knowing each other for so long. Furthermore, how could she decline his invitation after he had given up the exorbitantly expensive Glacier Lake project to her? 

Gwyneth sighed softly in her heart before nodding in agreement and grinning. 

Hayden was so overjoyed that even his gaze had changed from before. 

On the other hand, Liam’s complexion turned gloomy. He thought to himself, ‘Is this woman acting like I don’t exist? Did she just ignore her legally married husband?‘ 

Liam uttered, “You—” 

Gwyneth turned around and grinned at Liam just as he was about to say something. He instantly choked. 

Gwyneth’s tone changed when she spoke to Liam. 

“Thanks for your help, you should leave now. Don’t stay here too long.” 

Neither of them noticed this change, but Hayden, who was sensitive by nature, sensed it. His initially happy mood abruptly soured. His hands, which were hanging by the side, slowly clenched. 

What else could Liam do, given Gwyneth’s urge? However, he was fascinated to learn that Hayden had actually won Glacier Lake. 

While Liam was zoning out, Gwyneth had left with Hayden. Liam opened his mouth to call out to them but decided against it. He gritted his 

teeth, watching them turn around and walk away. He had a strange feeling, as though they had had an affair, and he had been cuckolded. 

There was no reason for Liam to stay here any longer because the police, Gwyneth, and Hayden had already left. He gathered his feelings, 

beckoned his men, and got ready to leave. 

Just like when she first arrived, Elizabeth did not ride in Liam’s car. She had always been eager to ride with Liam, but right now she was 

flustered and worried she would slip. After Liam got in the car, she quickly ran to the back of the convoy and entered a random car. 

The convoy left the fishing port slowly. Elizabeth’s body temperature had not returned to normal yet. With a stiff gaze out the window and her hands clenched together, she continued to feel frozen. 

Her phone rang abruptly, and it indicated that she had a new text message. 

Elizabeth’s chest tightened. She quickly pulled out her phone and shot the driver a nervous look to make sure they did not notice this. Sure enough, she saw a message from Kingsley when she turned to look at the phone’s display.. 

She looked around stealthily before opening the message. It was an older message that Elizabeth had already received. The phone had 

sent her a reminder notification because she did not open it. 

“Don’t worry, Elizabeth, everything is going well.” 

It was a very simple message, which she received after those people had taken Gwyneth to the fishing port. 

Elizabeth gripped her phone with such force that her fingers turned white. She opened the message interface and responded after hesitating for a while. 

“Kingsley, something terrible has happened. Gwyneth is unharmed, and she has informed the police that you’re involved In this.” 

Kingsley had not traveled far, he was close to the fishing port. He had considered leaving when he heard the police sirens, but he worried that something unexpected might happen, so he chose to stick around and keep an eye on the situation. He finally exhaled a sigh of relief 

Elizabeth’s message arrived just as he was beginning to relax. 

Kingsley was so frightened that he nearly threw his phone away. Along with being unharmed, that woman had also provided the police with his name. It was difficult not to become anxious. 

He made every effort to remain calm when he thought of Elizabeth’s pitiful appearance. He cooled down, pulled out his phone, and 

messaged Elizabeth. 

“Just chill, I’ll be fine. I’ll take the blame if something happens.”
