Chapter 44
Lindsay had solved the puzzle in under one minute!
Oliver’s soft voice struck Milo like a magnitude 12 earthquake, he could not believe his ears.
Milo snatched the number puzzle from Lindsay and was shocked silly.
*OMG! Bro—Bro–Little Tail has solved the number puzzle,” Milo stammered.
Oliver raised his eyebrows. He looked at his brother and said coldly, “Calm down, Milo. I’m here.”
Milo smiled awkwardly. “I’m sorry, my voice is a little shaky from the shock. Brother.”
Then he looked at Lindsay suspiciously and said. “Did you remove all the numbers and put them back again?”
He only gave her the puzzle less than a minute ago. Milo did not believe Lindsay could solve the puzzle within such a short
time.
But Little Tail indeed solved the number puzzle within a minute! The world’s fastest speed on record was 65.232 seconds. He and his brother’s speed was about a minute or so; it was unbelievable Little Tail was faster than them.
“You must be freaking joking!” Milo thought.
He was unconvinced and quickly reset the number puzzle; his hands moved like lightning.
Seconds later, Milo rearranged the number puzzle to a jumbled–up state.
Milo raised his eyebrows slightly and said arrogantly, “Try again, Little Tail. Show me what you’ve got!”
“Okay, let’s go to the table and play.”
Lindsay took the number puzzle and walked to the table in the living room on the first floor.
Oliver and Milo followed suit. Milo looked arrogant and wanted to see if Lindsay could cheat again under his watchful eyes.
There was no emotion on Oliver’s face as usual, but his eyes darkened.
Under the boys‘ collective gaze, Lindsay’s fingers moved like a raging velocity. The numbers returned to their original positions in a flash.
Milo’s eyes instantly widened. He underestimated Lindsay, who did not look smart but was, in fact, a genius.
“Oliver, was that a minute?”
Oliver replied coldly, “58.22 seconds.”
Milo was amazed. This number puzzle was easy for him and his brother, but no one could overtake their speed before. Therefore, they found it incomprehensible Little Tail was comparable to their speed.
He instantly found it interesting and thought of a new challenge.
“Little Tail, I didn’t expect you to be so smart. Let’s compete.”
Lindsay smiled sweetly as she took in Milo’s compliment; her eyes were like small crescent moons.
Flowers bloomed in her heart, and she was overjoyed.
The boys were finally willing to play with her and wanted to compete with her. She nodded happily.
“Brother, join us.”
Milo found no satisfaction in playing the number puzzle with others who were less competent. They were often left far behind and eventually crushed by him. Now that he encountered an expert, his competitive spirit rose its ugly head again.
“Okay, let’s play”
The trio started at the same time. Their little fingers moved like lightning and left no trace behind.
The sound of the buttons moving stopped almost at the same time,
However, Oliver and Milo knew they did not win.
Lindsay emerged as the winner instead.
Christine inadvertently walked into the final moment of the competition. Looking at Lindsay in disbelief, she said, “Lindsay, you’re so good at the game. You even beat the boys hands down! After all, it’s consistent with the 1Q test I gave you. Your intelligence quotient is way above them.”
Oliver and Milo looked unconvinced when their mother declared that Lindsay’s IQ was higher than theirs. She must have exaggerated.
Milo pouted and said, “Mommy, it’s just a coincidence Little Tail beat us in the number puzzle. How can her IQ be higher

than ours? Look at her. She doesn’t even look smart”
Christine’s face darkened as she looked at him. “Milo Paul, how can you say that? Lindsay looks like a cute doll. How can such a good–looking girl not look smart? How rude of you to insult her.”
Christine unleashed a barrage of attacks at Milo. Lindsay tugged at her sleeve and wrote something on a piece of paper.
“It doesn’t matter. Lindsay is not smart, to begin with. The boys are the smart ones. Lindsay is thrilled to be their Little Tail”
Christine’s heart ached when she saw Lindsay’s handwriting-
She rolled her sleeves and said sternly, “Look how forgiving Lindsay is, you little brats! She’s smarter than you yet remains humble. I know no one has defeated the two of you before, but someone’s better than you now. She’s right here in the same room. You two have to be more polite in the future.”
Her sons had outstanding intelligence and had never been defeated before. It was time for them to face reality and eat some humble pie.
Oliver took it in his stride and said, “Mommy, you’re right. Little Tail is indeed the smart one among us.”
Then he looked at Milo and said, “Milo, apologize now.”
Milo rubbed his nose and said coyly. “I’m sorry, Little Tail. I shouldn’t have said that you don’t look smart. Let’s play another round. I bet you can’t beat me this time around.”
Milo’s blood boiled. He rolled up his sleeves, revealing his chubby arms. It had been long since he was so excited about playing games.
Lindsay nodded happily.
“Brother, let’s do it again. Oh, I’m going to unleash my little universe this time around. I will not lose!”
“Don’t you know that all villains lose because they talk too much?”
“Brother, I’m not a villain!”
Milo pursed his lips. He was never a villain. At most, he was only a doormat of sorts.
“Let’s get started.”
The innocent children’s happiness indirectly infected Christine as she looked on lovingly.
Her sons‘ IQ was at an apex level, unmatched by the average children.
They found it hard to play with other children at school. It was good to find a playmate on par with them finally.
After all, Christine hoped for a normal childhood for Oliver and Milo.
She did not want them to miss the innocent joy of childhood because of their high IQ.
Especially Oliver.
She didn’t want him to grow up a cold and ruthless man.
The doorbell rang when Christine was deep in thought.
Her face darkened instantly. Speaking of the devil and he shall appear.
Christine opened the door and growled, “Lindsay is inside. Speaking of which, are you merely a father in name? How did you let a child sneak out repeatedly?”
Randall was shocked but recollected himself instantly.
The woman before him had transferred 200 million dollars from his company account. She had the gall to accuse him of not being a good father.
She must be tired of living.
Randall pushed Christine against the door and said wickedly. “You have accepted my betrothal gift of 200 million dollars. Isn’t it your responsibility to care for Lindsay as her stepmother?”
A betrothal gift of 200 million dollars? The responsibility of being a stepmother?
Was there something wrong with the scumbag before her?
“Randall Reeves, what are you talking about? When did I accept a gift of 200 million dollars from you? Are you out of your freaking mind?”
