The doorbell suddenly rang when Christine Paul was cooking in the kitchen. She opened the door and saw Lindsay Reeves. standing outside.
Christine was puzzled. “Why are you here, Lindsay darling? Come in quickly.”
She held Lindsay’s hand and walked into the house. Christine wondered if the little girl had come alone.
“Lindsay darling, did you come alone?” she asked.
Lindsay nodded, Christine was surprised. The little girl was too young to leave her house alone. Moreover, how did she know where Christine stayed?

They expected Little Tail to be kept busy until her daddy came to pick her up.
