Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Now, Milo had mixed feelings about Lindsay, his half–sister, and he did not know how to treat her.
Milo did not respond. He simply folded the note and put it in his pocket.
Although Milo did not reply, he kept her note in his pocket instead of throwing it away.
Lindsay felt sweet when she saw this..
Throughout the day, Lindsay followed Oliver and Milo. She did not say anything and just quietly followed them.
Milo said to Oliver in a low voice, “Oliver, what should we do about her if she keeps following us?”
“If she wants to follow, just let her follow.”
Oliver said calmly, showing some sympathy for Lindsay, his half–sister. He used to dislike her as well, but when he heard that Lindsay did not have a mother, Oliver sympathized with her.
Lindsay was pitiful. Even though Randall, their scumbag dad, did not acknowledge them as his children, Christine treated them well. But Lindsay had to live with Randall without Christine by her side, which was really poor.
Milo nodded. He thought the same.
After they were off school, Christine came to pick up Oliver and Milo, causing a small commotion.
“That woman is really pretty! Is she the mother of the twin brothers?” the kids exclaimed.
“What a beautiful mommy!” Another kid said.
The kids squeezed to the front. All of them wanted to see Christine. Lindsay tried her best to squeeze to the front too.
However, when she finally made it to the front, Lindsay saw Christine taking Oliver and Milo into the car.
“Mommy left, and she just came to pick up Oliver and Milo, not me,” Lindsay thought sadly.
Lindsay really wished that Christine would take her with them.
“Dumb girl, do not bother looking. You are just an illegitimate child without a mother.”
Anna taunted Lindsay as she grimaced at Lindsay.
Lindsay glared at Anna fiercely. Just as she wanted to say something, Anna’s mommy came to pick her up.
Anna proudly said, “I’m going home with my Mommy now. You do not have a mommy, you poor girl.
Anna held her mommy’s hand and left arrogantly.
In a villa at Scenic Bay.
“Oliver, Milo, how was the kindergarten today?”
“It was fine. It was just that the kids are a bit childish.”
Christine smiled lightly. Indeed, Oliver and Milo were too smart to go to kindergarten. Sending them to kindergarten was a bit of a compromise.
But Christine hoped that Oliver and Milo could grow up as ordinary children do and could have a happy childhood.
“There are many kids in kindergarten, and it’s fun for you to be together. Childhood is short. You should enjoy it,” Christine said.
“OK, Mommy, we got it,” Oliver and Milo answered.
The night fell. While Christine was having dinner with Oliver and Milo at home, her phone suddenly rang.
“Hello, is that Dr. Nancy?” a man asked on the other end of the line.
“Yes, who is that?” Christine asked.
“This is the housekeeper of the Reeves family. Can you please come to the Reeves family?” the man said.
“What has happened?” Christine asked.
“Miss Lindsay’s feet got injured, and she needs treatment. Can you come over?” the housekeeper said.
“Lindsay got injured?” Christine thought while looking nervous, and she anxiously said, “Alright, I’ll be right there.”

After she hung up the phone. Christine looked at Oliver and Milo and said, “Oliver, Milo, a little patient needs my help. Can you both stay at home by yourselves?“\
Oliver calmly replied. “Mommy, go ahead. I will take good care of Milo.”
Christine nodded and hurriedly drove to the Reeves family.
The Reeves family.
Sitting in the car outside the Reeves family, Christine put on a wig, applied a dark yellow foundation, wore a pair of big black glasses, and put on a mask to disguise herself before she entered the Reeves family.
The housekeeper of the Reeves family guided her to the living room, where Christine saw Lindsay sitting on a Dratish–style sofa.
Her little feet were bare, and they were already swollen and red.
Randall stood beside Lindsay, his face dark and menacing, making Lindsay feel horrible.
His daughter’s feet got injured, but no one noticed when she returned.
Randall wanted to take Lindsay to the hospital, but she refused and only wrote “Nancy” on the small board. He knew Lindsay wanted to see that woman, so Randall could only ask Christine to come over.
Christine squatted down and looked at Lindsay’s feet, saying, “Lindsay, how did you hurt your feet?”
Christine’s brows furrowed tightly as she checked Lindsay’s feet. She was a doctor and had seen all kinds of serious injuries. but she was indeed startled at the sight of Lindsay’s swollen little feet.
Lindsay did not say anything and scribbled on the board.
“They were hit.”
After her feet were hit, Lindsay felt pain all the time, but because Oliver and Milo protected her, she was so happy that she did not feel the pain.
Lindsay followed her brothers all day and did not feel the pain until she got home and removed her shoes.
“Lindsay, hold it on. I’ll apply some salve for you.”
Christine felt distressed as she applied some salve to Lindsay’s feet.
“Lindsay, it must hurt a lot, right?” Christine asked sadly.
Lindsay’s eyes flickered. But she shook her head obediently and denied it.
It hurt a lot just now, but now she felt no pain. Instead, Lindsay felt very happy. Because her feet were hit, her brothers protected her, and she could see Christine again. Christine was now applying salve for her. Lindsay felt so happy for being
hurt.
As long as she could see Christine, she would feel satisfied.
“Hasn’t the principal arrived yet?”
Randall asked in a low and hoarse voice, carrying a sense of suppression.
At that moment, the housekeeper said in a low voice, “Sir, the principal is on her way.”
At this moment, the principal entered the villa tremblingly. When she saw Lindsay’s injured feet, her heart sank. She did not know how Lindsay’s feet got hurt. This matter was serious enough to destroy her career.
“Mr. Reeves, I’m sorry. I did not take good care of Miss Lindsay today, and I did not know how she got hurt. The teachers in class did not notice anything wrong, and they did not tell me anything. Besides, Miss Lindsay seemed fine when she left school today.”
The principal explained anxiously, while Randall’s gaze grew even darker as he heard her words.
“You mean that my daughter was not injured at school and that it is not your responsibility?” Randall questioned.
“Mr. Reeves, I did not mean that. I came in such a hurry that I did not have time to check the surveillance cameras. Shall we review the kindergarten’s monitoring?” The principal suggested.
“Hurry up and check it!” Randall urged.
The principal hurriedly checked the surveillance records.
And after watching it for a while, Christine suddenly froze.
She saw her two sons in the surveillance. Christine thought, “Could it be that Lindsay is attending the same kindergarten

and in the same class as my boys? What a coincidence.”
The principal fast–forwarded the surveillance three times.
And it was then that Randall said coldly, “Slow it down.”
As the principal adjusted the surveillance to normal speed, they saw Anna pushing the desk over, and it ended up pressing on Lindsay’s feet.
The principal held her breath in an instant when she saw the scene. Lindsay did get injured in kindergarten. The principal got nervous as she knew that Lindsay was the apple of the eye of the entire Reeves family.
Regardless of the reason, Lindsay was injured in kindergarten, and the principal should bear responsibility for it.
