Chapter 21
Why did Duncan say that he missed her when he had cheated on her six years ago?
Could he and Blanche not have been together all these years?
Wasn’t Blanche pregnant with his child back then?
Christine decided to stop dwelling on it. After all, she had a pair of babies now. Her main priority was ensuring their well–being and focusing on her medical issues.
She wasn’t going to let love and men bother her!
Christine was already long gone, but Duncan remained in the same spot, lost in a daze.
He was lost in his thoughts. The woman bore an uncanny resemblance to Christine, to the point where even her voice was strikingly similar.
The only difference was that Christine had fairer skin and long, silky hair that flowed like a waterfall.
He really wanted to see Dr. Nancy’s face beneath her mask.
“Duncan, what are you standing here for?”
Duncan looked at Blanche, who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, and retorted impatiently. “Why are you here?”
“I came to visit you,” Blanche replied charmingly.
She even tried to grab Duncan, but he quickly evaded.
For the past six years, Blanche never gave up on Duncan.
Duncan was the future heir of the Foster family. Blanche thought that if anything were to happen to Christine, she would be the one to marry into the Foster family. However, she never expected Duncan would refuse to marry her.
Six
years had passed since then, yet Duncan’s heart remained solely devoted to Christine, much to her dismay.
More importantly, Christine had returned.
She must keep that a secret from Duncan..
“Blanche, you need to stop bothering me.”
Blanche feigned a wounded expression and said, “Oh, Duncan, didn’t we agree to be friends? You don’t even want to be friends anymore?”
“It’s been six years. You should know that I don’t have any feelings for you. I feel very sorry about that incident six years ago, and I’ve been making up for it since then,” Duncan replied impatiently.
“Duncan, you know you don’t have to make up for it. I simply want to be by your side. That incident six years ago may have been an accident, but I’m glad that I could share my most cherished first experience with the man I love the most.”
For the past six years, Blanche had repeatedly emphasized that it was her first time just to make Duncan feel guilty.
“That’s enough. The cars, properties, and luxury items I’ve bought you over the past six years should be enough to make up for what I did wrong that time. Stop bothering me from now on.”
Duncan walked away after saying that, leaving a distraught Blanche behind.
Six years ago, Blanche deliberately spiked Duncan’s drink.
They ended up having sex, but no one knew how miserable she was. Throughout the entire time, Duncan kept calling her
Christine.
It was undoubtedly a humiliating experience for her, but she endured it. It was nothing as long as she could make Duncan hers and become Mrs. Foster.
However, she did not expect Duncan to refuse to marry her.
Despite all that she had done for him, Christine was the only person he could think of.
She couldn’t understand what made her inferior to Christine.
Duncan had only been trying to get rid of her by buying her cars, properties, and luxury items.
Of course, she wanted all of them, but they were not the only things she desired.
She wanted to be the wife of a wealthy man. She wanted to outshine Christine and crush Christine under the sole of her feet.
If her mother could outshine Christine’s mother, so could she!
Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office of the Reeves Group…

Chapter 21
Derick’s hands trembled as he held the documents while making the report.
*Mr. Reeves, unfortunately, all three tenders submitted by the subsidiaries of our Reeves Group were rejected, presumably due to the data breach from the previous computer hack. We have lost all three projects, and to add insult to injury, the competing party’s tender was only slightly higher than ours, by twenty cents.”
By twenty cents?
Randall furrowed his brow, smacking the table with his thin hand.
“What on earth are you all doing? Allowing someone to succeed three times,” he roared angrily.
Derick hung his head. This was the first time in his many years of working at the Reeves Group that he had encountered a situation where three subsidiary companies were being shot down simultaneously.
Despite knowing their low price, the competing party deliberately added twenty extra cents to their tender. This was clearly an act of provocation. Who in the world would dare to go against the Reeves Group in such a manner?
Randall’s eyes filled with a surge of anger, but he managed to suppress it.
His gaze deepened, and his thin lips parted slightly to ask, “Those projects that we lost, who were they awarded to?”
Derick quickly answered. “All three of them were awarded to a foreign company, Jasper Holdings. It is rumored the trader behind this company is a famous Magnate in the West.”
A Magnate?
Randall narrowed his almond–shaped eyes. They had never offended this “Magnate,” so he shouldn’t have any reason to target them like this. Furthermore, nothing good would come out of doing so. The Reeves Group wasn’t an organization to be trifled with.
“Go investigate the identity of this Magnate right away.”
Randall furrowed his brow, and his eyes glinted dangerously.
“I’ll get to it right away, Mr. Reeves!”
Derick hurriedly went out of the CEO’s office after receiving his instruction.
Randall’s face darkened even more.
Sky, the world’s top hacker, and the famous “Magnate” in the West, both had their sights set on the Reeves Group simultaneously.
It seemed like things were about to get lively in Archiland.
Meanwhile, in the villa at Scenic Bay….
“Oliver, we’ve been awarded the third project. Do you think our scumbag dad would be upset if he found out that we secured the project for just twenty cents more than his price?”
“I can already imagine him looking as pissed as a bull.”
Milo covered his mouth and snickered. It was the first time he had heard his older brother crack a joke.
“I never realized that you could crack jokes, Oliver.”
“Our scumbag dad is now the butt of a joke in the industry. We have successfully won three tenders in a row, outbidding him by just twenty cents.”
“Are you sure you’ll be fine taking so many projects at once?”
Milo looked somewhat worried, but Oliver appeared unconcerned.
“There won’t be any issues. I’ve carefully reviewed the specifics of each project, and they all show promising profit margins. The Reeves Group has conducted a detailed evaluation before, and their bid amount was also very precise. The hardest part has already been taken care of, and we can expect to make a minimum profit of 360 million dollars from these three projects. Let’s consider this an overdue alimony from our scumbag dad over the past six years.”
Oliver’s lips curled into a confident and triumphant smile while Milo excitedly clapped his hands beside him.
“Way to go, Oliver! Let’s make scumbag dad’s wallet bleed a lot.”
“This is just the beginning. There are even more exciting plans in store for him.”
Oliver was determined not to let Randall off the hook easily.
After all, it was only fair for him to pay the alimony!
Milo fumed. “That’s right, Oliver. Not only are we going to take his new projects, but we’re also going to destroy his group of companies. I haven’t even had the chance to use my infertility powder yet.”
