Chapter 18
“Miss, there’s no need for you to be hospitalized. Your health is perfectly fine. Besides, hospitals are filled with the strong

Director Schuman politely declined, and Lindsay’s curled eyelashes slightly trembled as she listened, her eyes filled with disappointment.
If she didn’t stay in the hospital, she wouldn’t be able to stay with Mommy.
The Reeves family had a strict rule, which was never to upset the little princess of the Reeves family.
No matter right or wrong.
*Gerald Schuman, it seems you no longer want to remain as the hospital director; how dare you upset our precious little
one.”
Director Schuman felt the threat coming from Elizabeth Reeves and trembled in fear. After all, the Reeves family was the largest shareholder in this hospital. Gerald Schuman quickly gave himself two slaps on the face.
“I’m sorry, I misspoke and upset the young lady.”
Christine Paul looked at Director who was
typically arrogant and held a high position in the hospital feeling
confused as he apologized. The crucial part was that he was right. However, Christine sensed a heavy atmosphere, which generated a strong feeling of oppression.
Randall Reeves lowered his gaze slightly, looking at Lindsay, and spoke in a low, solemn tone, “So, you want to be hospitalized because of this person?”
Of course, Christine understood that Randall was referring to her. The atmosphere became delicate.
Lindsay tightly held Christine’s hand once again, nodding vigorously. Then, with force, she wrote something on a small
board.
[I want Mommy.]
Upon hearing these words, everyone present was stunned into silence.
Director Schuman, on the other hand, had a look of shock on his face.
The little princess of the Reeves family, whose birth mother was unknown, and the fact that Randall abstains from romantic relationships was widely known throughout Archiland.
Hence, regarding the sudden appearance of the little princess of the Reeves family, while there were various speculations
about her birth mother, it remained one of the top ten mysteries
“hiland.
Could he have unraveled this enigma?
Director Schuman’s face wore an expression of profound shock as he watched the events unfold.
Christine was in disarray. She wasn’t Lindsay’s mother, even though she secretly wished she was.
With a gentle tone, she said, “Lindsay, I’m not your mommy.”
Lindsay’s eyes filled with disappointment upon hearing those words. Observing the little princess’s unhappy expression, Director Schuman couldn’t help but feel anxious for Christine.
He quietly walked up behind Christine and whispered, “Have you forgotten the consequences I just faced? The Reeves family doesn’t tolerate anyone who upsets the little princess.”
Christine couldn’t help but shudder at his words. After all, everyone’s gaze was fixed on her, sending a chill down her spine. At that moment, Randall crouched down and said to Lindsay, “I have hired her as our private physician for the Reeves family. Stay of home, and you will still be able to see her.”
Christine was instantly dumbfounded. Who said she agreed to become the private physician for the Reeves family?
She clearly declined Randall’s offer.
Lindsay immediately swept away the previous gloom and happily wrote on the small board.
[Is this true?
Director Schuman whispered from behind, “The Reeves family is giving you a way out. It would be best if you took advantage of the opportunity. Offending the little princess of the Reeves family won’t lead to a good outcome.” Christine finally understood the predicament she was in Randall was intentionally setting a trap for her.
However, she honestly didn’t want to become the private physician for the Reeves family.
Christine replied tactfully, “Mr. Reeves, you have misunderstood me. I meant that I visit Mrs. Reeves for consultations every

three days, not that I would become the full–time family doctor for the Reeves family. Other patients in this hospital also require my attention.”
A family doctor, as the term implied, remained stationed at the Reeves family, providing medical care exclusively for them. For Christine, she didn’t enjoy catering to only a few individuals. As a doctor, her goal was to alleviate the suffering of many people rather than pursuing a high salary and an easy job as a private physician for the Reeves family.
Lindsay quietly held Christine’s hand, listening attentively. She wanted to understand her mommy better.
Christine crouched down and said to Lindsay, “Sweetie, this hospital has many patients suffering from illness. I became a doctor to help more people escape pain and regain their health. If I become the private physician for the Reeves family, I won’t be able to help others anymore. That’s not what I want. Do you understand, my dear?”
Lindsay looked at Christine, feeling that her mommy was an extraordinary person. Not only was she highly skilled in medicine, but she was also a compassionate doctor.
She found her mommy incredibly charismatic.
She liked having a mommy like this.
Lindsay quickly wrote on the paper.
[How about once every two days?]
Lindsay greatly admired her thoughtful and compassionate doctor mommy but also wished to spend more time with her.
Christine could deeply sense Lindsay’s desire to see her.
“Alright, twice a week,” she agreed.
Lindsay was overjoyed to hear that and reached out her hand, wanting to make a pinky promise to Christine.
Understanding Lindsay’s intention, Christine extended her right hand and hooked her pinky finger with Lindsay’s tiny finger.
“Pinky promise, it’s unbreakable for a hundred years,” she said.
Lindsay’s joyful laughter brought immense happiness to both Elizabeth and Daisy Reeves. They had never seen their little darling so genuinely happy before.
Moreover, they noticed that Lindsay, who usually disregarded others‘ words, surprisingly listened to Dr. Nancy.
It seemed that Dr. Nancy and their precious Lindsay had a special connection.
Their beloved daughter’s fondness for Christine made Randall increasingly curious about the woman before him.
Randall couldn’t help but wonder what methods this woman had used to make his daughter adore her so much.
He knew plenty of women deliberately tried to get close to his daughter to please him.
They had put in great effort and thought, yet his daughter despised those women.
On the other hand, this woman seemed to win his daughter’s affection effortlessly.
Lindsay even considered her as her mother. This woman was truly cunning and skilled!
Christine unintentionally lifted her gaze and was met with Randall’s intense stare.
Instinctively, she averted her eyes, not wanting to engage in a staring contest with him.
Why was this stubborn man constantly fixated on her?
As the Reeves family’s car departed from the hospital, the entire atmosphere within the hospital exploded. Christine instantly became a prominent figure at Healthstone Hospital.
“Who is that newcomer? I heard that the little princess of the Reeves family is very fond of her.”
“How is that possible? The little princess of the Reeves family has autism and hardly interacts with anyone. Why would she
attention to her?”
pay
“Exactly! She’s so plain–looking and unsophisticated. The little princess of the Reeves family is high above, like a princess high up in the clouds. How could she bother with someone so ordinary?”
Several female medical staff in the hospital corridor gossiped without any regard.
“That just proves the clever tactics of the newcomer. Winning over the little princess of the Reeves family is equivalent to winning over Mr. Reeves. After all, the little princess is the apple of Mr. Reeves‘ eye and represents the entirety of the Reeves family.”
“Are you suggesting that the newcomer’s target is Mr. Reeves? That’s ridiculous. Look at her appearance; how could she dare

Chapter 18
Mr. Reeves is handsome, charismatic, and the head of the top–tier Reeves Group, a leading conglomerate in Archiland. Who wouldn’t want to marry him in Archiland? But at the very least, that person should be someone of worth. Now, even a lowly frog seems to aspire to marry Mr. Reeves. It’s truly laughable.”
