Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Knowing Elizabeth’s stubborn temperament, Daisy obediently complied.
“Well then. I’ll go and prepare the prescription.”
Christine announced, ready to take her leave, when she felt a tug on the corner of her coat.
Looking down, she saw Lindsay.
Lindsay was holding a small board with a message.
[I want to see a doctor.]
Daisy observed this with profound surprise. Lindsay had always resisted doctors and loathed visiting them.
Today, Lindsay willingly went to the hospital after being persuaded by Randall.
However, Daisy never expected to witness Lindsay having such an active request to see a doctor. This was like the sun rising. in the west.
Christine crouched down, looking at Lindsay attentively, and asked, “Lindsay, where are you feeling unwell?”
Lindsay wrote on the small board.
[My heart feels uncomfortable.]
Christine felt a sudden pang of nervousness upon reading this.
Then, Lindsay wrote on the board once more..
[I’m thinking about Mommy so much that my heart aches.]
Christine was utterly bewildered.
She could cure this condition.

At that moment, Daisy approached Christine and remarked, “She doesn’t speak, but she’s brilliant. Can you discern her illness?”
Christine gazed at Lindsay and responded tenderly, “Lindsay, would you like to go downstairs with me to the consultation
room for treatment?”
In response, Lindsay’s eyes lit up with a joyful curve in her smile. She was delighted to spend time with her mommy.
Tll take Lindsay to the consultation room first.”
Lindsay clung tightly to Christine, akin to a little child eager to hang out with her mother.
“I will go, too.”
Randall’s deep voice broke the silence, surprising Christine internally.
“What is he going to do?” she thought..
Nevertheless, it was natural for a father to accompany his child.
Walking through the hospital corridors, Christine held Lindsay’s hand, with Randall following closely behind.
This combination drew envious gazes from the female doctors and nurses present.
“Mr. Reeves is so handsome.”
“Who is that woman? How did she manage to hold the Reeves family’s little princess?”
“Mr. Reeves’s daughter ignores anyone. Why would she let that woman hold her hand?”
“Who is that woman? Is she new here?”
“She’s new and rustic, but how blessed she is.”
Christine could see the hospital staff’s taunting and hostile looks.
She thought it was a bit too exaggerated. All she was doing was accompanying Lindsay for a routine checkup.
It was unnecessary for these individuals to gaze at her with envious eyes. It looked as though they were on the brink of devouring her in an instant.
When the time came to enter the consultation room, Randall wished to follow, but Christine refused.
“Mr. Reeves, there can be no further interruptions during the test. You shall wait here.”
Christine raised an eyebrow, displaying a hint of stugness.
As a doctor, she wouldn’t let him in, regardless of whether he was the reigning CEO of the Reeves Group.
Before Randall could finish his sentence, the door closed with a resounding bang, firmly shutting him out.
Chapter 15
It was the first time anyone dared close the door on him.
Randall’s eyes grew ever more profound.
Inside the consultation room.
Lindsay kept fixating on Christine. The latter couldn’t help but wonder if it was due to her peculiar hairstyle that Lindsay continued to stare. Little did she realize that Lindsay had long since seen through her true identity.
Christine gently guided Lindsay to the computer and said, “Lindsay, would you like me to accompany you while you answer these test questions?”
