The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 166

King Braedon POV

"Well as much as I would love to execute them, our witness is now dead," I said as Julia had killed herself "but it would normally be a trial by the elders or you, as the victim, could also choose their punishment." "What about Brynn? If she didn't know then she's innocent in a manner of speaking" Blair said reluctantly.

"Also up to you. Although she's innocent in her lack of knowledge, it doesn't excuse her behavior towards you." She harrumphed. "I think I need time to think over what I need to do."

A knock on the door interrupted us. The door tentatively opened and Josie and Sierra beamed at us. "What's up" crowed Sierra, causing Blair to genuinely smile "Stella is in the dungeon, little b***h knocked me out cold when I was trailing her" she added indignantly, rubbing the back of her head, while Josie giggled at the face Sierra was making "and I thought, you know what, my homie needs company" she added, looking at Blair who was perking up.

"Are you telling me you want to escort me down to the dungeon?" Blair asked her suspiciously.

Sierra blinked her big eyes at her while I inwardly groaned at the thought of a small posse going downstairs "Well, I mean, I haven't gotten to see it before and do I want to see Stella looking uncomfortable and in pain? Yes, why yes I do" she answered her own question, making Blair laugh out loud.

I could have kissed Sierra in that moment for lifting my mate's spirits. "What about you Josie?" Blair asked, Josie, looking quite pale at the thought of joining them.

"Well um, the thing is, all that blood and gore," she said stammering and Sierra clapped her on the back.

"Ah Josie, no head for blood and gore. Won't even watch horror movies" she said shaking her head as Josie glared at her "She wouldn't have the stomach to go down there, let alone watch somebody being tortured." Josie blanched and lost all color in her face.

"Perhaps it would be best if I remained up here" she agreed quietly, looking sheepish.

"It's okay Josie, I can tell you everything afterward," Sierra said smirking.

"Please don't" Josie whispered, trembling slightly as Sierra's grin grew wider "I'm happy to remain ignorant."

Blair reached out and hugged Josie "I appreciate you coming to check on me," she told the girl whose eyes glistened with tears "And I'm sorry about everything," she said, making Josie begin to sob.

Oh, good god. Were all the girls going to cry? I stared helplessly as Blair began to sob and then Sierra gave a sniffle. James poked his head in and his eyes widened.

"James" I blurted out, causing him to look a little shocked at my enthusiasm "What's up man?"

"Ah, I was coming to see if you were coming downstairs," he said, eyeing the women with curiosity.

"We sure are sugar" Sierra drawled, while Josie pulled away from Blair "And I can't wait to see the little b***h's face" she added darkly.

Somehow Sierra seemed more threatening in that moment than I had ever seen her. Turns out she didn't take being knocked unconscious by an outsider very lightly. I almost felt sorry for Stella. Almost.

"Josie stay here," Blair said kindly "or wait for us in the dining room and we can catch up later. Maybe even have another movie night?" she suggested, making Josie perk up.

"Oh no," James said, causing all of us to look at him, his expression tinged with panic "I remember the last time you girls had a movie night together" he blabbered, holding his hands up "and I am not assisting you guys back to bed naked. I have a mate now" he emphasized narrowing his eyes "and I value my life thank you very much" he was breathing heavily now.

I smirked. "Has Sarah heard that particular story, James?" I teased, as we began to file out the door, James's face turning bright red "Maybe I should tell my sister about that. I'm sure she'd love to hear it" I added with a devilish grin as James's expression went wan.

"Don't you dare" he growled, desperately looking down the hallways to make sure Sarah wasn't there "She'll cut my balls off and feed them to me for breakfast."

I chuckled, loving I had something to hold over the smug bastard. "Ah, just think, I finally have something to blackmail you with," I told him smugly as he stared at me angrily "I guess you're going to be doing a lot of paperwork over the next few days."

He looked deflated. "Bastard" he snarled.

I chuckled. Sierra and Blair were chatting amiably in the back as we rounded a corner and descended the stairs, heading towards the basement. We came to a heavily double-braced door and I unlocked it, stepping inside first, my eyes blinking as I rapidly adjusted to the darkness within. I made my way down, turning to assist Blair, while James did the same with Sierra, careful where he laid his hands. I smirked. I had every intention of telling Sarah the story whether James liked it or not. The bastard deserved it after everything he had done to me and Blair.

Blair smoothed down her shirt and looked around her, wrinkling her nose in disgust as she smelt the metallic scent of blood in the air and noted the blood splatters on the walls and floor. "It reeks in here," she said, looking a little sick.

"Do you need to get some fresh air?" I asked, ready to take her back up.

She shook her head. I took her hand and pulled her towards the back of the dungeon, passing the empty cells which consisted of silver bars, until we reached the last one, where Stella was situated. For a moment there was silence as Blair took in the scene, while Stella's eyes flashed and a look of contempt crossed her eyes.

"Do your worst" she spat out as I c****d my head and grunted "I'm not afraid of death, nor of you" she began to cackle madly while Sierra began to crack her knuckles.

I could have sworn I heard Sierra mumbling "Challenge accepted" under her breath as I turned my head to look at her.
