The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 152

Blair POV

"So long as she keeps her hands to herself we won't have a problem," I said tightly, remembering what she had been doing the first time I had seen her.

Sierra looked at me approvingly "You know you could just order her to leave as the Luna Queen" she pointed out as I began to brush my hair.

"I don't think that would go over well with Josie if they are cousins" I commented back as Sierra's lip twisted in disdain "But I wonder why she didn't bother to mention her to me when she came and visited" I added thoughtfully.

"Who knows what's going through that head of hers lately," Sierra said as we began to walk towards the doorway "She's been completely out of it. I swear, she's turned into an airhead. Even Julia has noticed she's not herself and that's saying something because Julia doesn't show any interest in anybody besides you and King Braedon" she said with a shake of her head.

We walked down the stairs and my stomach gave a loud grumble. "God I'm hungry" I moaned.

"I would kill someone for some bacon" Sierra agreed and I glanced at her skeptically.

"What? I just finished training" she defended herself.

I fought back a grin. Sierra's stomach was like a bottomless pit. It was a shame she hadn't found her mate at the summit, because any man would have been lucky to have her. We linked arms and headed into the dining room. Stella, the woman I had seen before, was there and I halted in my tracks as she glared up at a poor omega, who had accidentally spilled some liquid on her as she attempted to put the glass on the table in front of the woman.

"You imbecile" she cried, as Sierra and I observed her in disgust "Do you have any idea what this outfit costs?" she hissed. The omega ducked her head, her cheeks flaming red. "I'm sorry miss" she stammered, a young girl who was barely out of teenage hood, "it was an accident" she finished, gulping.

I couldn't believe my eyes with what Stella had the nerve to do next. She stood up, her dress clinging tightly to her body and leaving nothing to the imagination, and slapped the poor girl across the face. The omega gave a cry of pain, her hand going to her burning cheek, her eyes dripping with tears.

"Know your place" Stella hissed and I glanced around the table, noting that Josie was nowhere to be seen.

"Know yours" my voice rang out clearly.

Everybody's head whipped around. I saw many pack members looking at Stella disapprovingly. "Who are you to hurt any of my pack members?" I challenged her, walking forward steadily as Stella's eyes widened, my aura pushing out "You really have some nerve" I snarled. The omega was trembling and slowly backing away. Sierra was silent, watching gleefully in the background. Slap. My arm raised itself of its own accord and I hit Stella with all the strength I could muster, right across her face. She blinked at me, her mouth dropping open. "Never lay a hand on any of my pack members again," I told her coldly "I don't care who you think you are" I added "Now apologize to the omega" I growled.

The omega's eyes widened. Stella hesitated. My arm shot out and wrapped itself around her neck, bending her head towards the young girl. "Apologize" I snarled.

"I'm sorry" Stella choked out and I let her go, the omega quickly turning and rushing out of the dining room.

Stella rubbed her neck, glaring at me. "Do you have any idea who I am?" she said shrilly.

"I could not care less," I told her as she gaped "even if you were the bloody queen of England."

Silence. Stella's face contorted "When my father hears about this, he's going to declare war on your pack" she sniffled.

"Your father is a miserable excuse of a parent if he's willing to go to war over his spoilt daughter getting her a*s whooped and taught a lesson about one's place in another's pack," I said coldly "and if that's the case, then get the hell out of my pack now."

She gritted her teeth "Josie is going to kill you for this" she yelled, flipping her hair over her shoulder "Just you wait."

I laughed. "Josie has no say in how I handle rude guests, even if we are friends. I sincerely hope you have the guts to tell her the truth about how you acted today because I won't hesitate to tell her when she asks" I advised "and while we're at it, stay the f**k away from my mate unless you want to die a slow and painful death" I added, seating myself down at the table and staring at the omegas expectantly, who began to serve me breakfast as Stella fumed.

"You're going to regret this" Stella breathed.

Sierra shoved past her and sat down next to me. "I'm starving" she moaned "What are you waiting for drama queen? Get going" she snapped at Stella who turned on her heel and stomped out of the dining room to everybody's delight.

"You know that Josie is going to be upset about how you treated her cousin" Sierra whispered as we began to eat.

I sighed "I know, but I can't treat Stella differently just because of who her family is. If I lose my friendship with Josie, then so be it. I have more important things to worry about right now."

But I couldn't help glancing at the doorway uneasily. Sierra shot a look at me "What is it?" she asked quietly, sipping at her coffee.

I frowned. "I don't know" I admitted lowly, sipping my juice and sniffing the air, which was heavy with the smell of Stella's sickening flower-scented perfume "Just, I don't know," I said confused "but it's almost like there's something familiar about Stella, but I can't quite put my finger on it." Had I seen this woman before? An image that was blurry and undefined appeared in my mind and I struggled to grasp it, to make it clearer before it shimmered and dissipated. I wanted to scream in frustration. Whatever i t was, Stella couldn't be trusted. I glanced at Sierra. "Sierra," I said quietly and she looked up, her mouth chewing away "I need you to do something for me" I added as her eyes began to gleam.

I leaned in close to her and began to whisper into her ear, while she nodded, forcing herself to swallow the food down. "Are you sure that's the road you want to take?" she said calmly.

I leaned back against the chair "I'm sure. My wolf doesn't like her either and I'm not going to rest easy while she remains here. I want her gone, as soon as possible, but not before I discover who she really is. Because I'm almost certain that she isn't who she claims to be."
