The Origin Of Gallahon

Chapter The Late Pharaoh

Gallahon, Trenton and Nina rushed to Aquanna’s rescue. Anput soon followed to aid them in the rescue. Gallahon and the others could see King Scythe’s tomb over the horizon, but something stopped them in their tracks. They could feel the ground shake beneath them. Whatever was making the ground shake, it was big and was coming for them. Gallahon and the others stood their ground, with their weapons at the ready. Anput stood by Gallahon’s side. A monster popped up from the sand in front of them. The monster appeared to be another hybrid beast. Half man, half scorpion. A figure stood on its back. The figure turned out to be Anubis.

“Anubis!” shouted Anput.

“Did you forget my wife? I am a god! Therefore, I am immortal! You cannot kill me so easily.” The beast lunged itself at them. They all dodged. Gallahon rushed towards it with his sword and sliced the beast’s face. It grabbed Gallahon with its massive claw. Anput jumped towards the beast and cut its arm, causing it to let go of Gallahon. Nina rushed towards the legs and sliced them. But the beast barely felt the cuts. Trenton jumped high and stabbed the beast in both eyes. The beast had become blind. Anubis jumped off the creatures back. Anubis insisted on fighting Gallahon.

“Boy!” Anubis said to him. “You will not live any longer!” Anubis rushed towards Gallahon and threw down his weapon at him. Gallahon stepped aside and whacked Anubis with his shield. Anubis pulled his weapon out of the sand and swung it hard. Gallahon used his shield to block it, but the blow from Anubis’s weapon knocked it right out of his arm. Anubis swung again, but Gallahon used his sword to deflect it.

Gallahon thrust his sword, but Anubis stepped back. When Gallahon got the chance, he ran for his shield. Anubis ran after him. Gallahon grabbed his shield. As Anubis threw down his weapon, Gallahon blocked it with his shield. Anubis and Gallahon pushed against one another with their weapons. Gallahon shoved Anubis and kicked him back. As Anubis stumbled, the blinded hybrid beast rammed its stinger into Anubis’s back. It lifted Anubis in the air with its stinger. The others sought this as an opportunity to escape. Gallahon and the others rushed, continuing their pursuit to King Scythe’s tomb.

They’ve made it inside King Scythe’s tomb. They ran down a long, dark hallway. A light appeared on the other end of the hall. They’ve entered a room with columns. Lying around the base of one column was the dead corpse of Tikal Scythe. Gallahon knelt down to get a better look. There was a stab wound on her chest that bled out.

“No. Tikal really is dead.”

“No time.” Anput said to him. “If we don’t hurry, your friend’s fate will be the same as Tikal’s.” Gallahon got up from the floor and continued down into another hallway. The others followed.

Aquanna woke up chained to a sacrificial table. King Scythe walked up to her with a dagger in his hand. He looked into Aquanna’s eyes and placed his hand on her fore head.

“You are so young, and so beautiful. I almost hate to waste such a beautiful elf bitch.” Aquanna spit in his eye. King Scythe wiped the spit ball out of his eye.

“My friends will come for me.” she told him.

“I’m counting on it.” he said with a grain. “But I’m afraid when they get here, all they will find is your dead corpse.” As King Scythe raised the dagger above her chest, she spoke.

“Wait! Don’t do this!” she plead. “There must be another way!”

“No. I gained my humanity back. And immortality will be good to have.” As King Scythe was about to plunge the dagger into her chest, Trenton came up behind him. King Scythe elbowed Trenton. He then grabbed Trenton and threw him across the room. As King Scythe walked over to Trenton, attending to kill him, Gallahon came up to Aquanna and freed her from the chains. King Scythe turned and saw that Aquanna was free.

“Guards!” He summoned his loyal body guards who were the undead. Gallahon and Aquanna stopped in their tracks at the sight of King Scythe’s undead body guards and prepared themselves. King Scythe turned back and grabbed Trenton by the neck and threw him towards where Gallahon and Aquanna was. Trenton landed on the sacrificial table and broke it.

“Kill them all!” King Scythe commanded. Anput jumped in front of Gallahon and the others with her weapon in hand. All of them armed themselves, ready to fight except for Aquanna. She was unable to fight. Anput rushed towards King Scythe’s guards and the others followed. One of the guards threw down their sword at Gallahon’s head, but Gallahon blocked with his sword. Trenton rushed in. As one guard swung at Trenton, Trenton ducked and rammed his sword through the guard’s stomach. Trenton spun around and clashed swords with another. As Trenton had one of the guards districted, Nina leaped over Trenton and drop kicked the guard.

As the guard was down, Trenton stabbed the downed guard with both swords as Nina fought one of the other guards. Gallahon whacked one of the guards with the horns on his shield. As one guard ran at Gallahon, waving his sword, Gallahon stepped aside and slashed the guard. As Gallahon slashed another guard, he saw an opened path to King Scythe. As Gallahon ran towards him, King Scythe saw him coming and quickly summoned his weapon. As Gallahon swung, King Scythe’s scythe appeared in his hands and King Scythe blocked the attack.

Gallahon and King Scythe stared each other down. As Gallahon struggled to keep his guard up, King Scythe kicked him back. Gallahon fell back on the floor. As King Scythe raised his weapon, Gallahon flipped himself off the floor as the scythe came plunging down. The blade of the scythe was stuck in the ground. King Scythe left himself open. As Gallahon thrust his sword, King Scythe grabbed the blade without cutting himself. King Scythe had broken Gallahon’s blade in half.

As King Scythe pushed Gallahon back, he was left with only his shield and a broken sword. As King Scythe rushed towards Gallahon, Gallahon tried to whack him with his shield, but the shield went right through him. King Scythe ringed Gallahon by the neck and threw him across the room. King Scythe looked at his hands.

“What? No, this can’t be! I’m supposed to be human again!” he said to himself. As Trenton and Anput slew the last of the guards, they could see something big coming straight at them. It was the monstrous king cobra, Hiss-Kanga, the real one. King Scythe turned and saw that Hiss-Kanga had joined the battle. The snake lunged towards Trenton and Nina with its jaw wide opened. Trenton and Nina jumped aside, slashing the creature’s long body as it went pass. The snake’s skin was so tough, it barely felt the cuts. Aquanna was helpless, all she could do was watch the fight go on.

King Scythe pulled his scythe from the ground and rushed towards Gallahon. As Gallahon saw him coming towards him, Gallahon jumped aside and missed the incoming blade of the scythe. There was nothing Gallahon could do. He can’t touch King Scythe for he was still a ghost. Gallahon headed towards where the others were, but King Scythe swung his weapon at him. Gallahon quickly blocked with his shield. As King Scythe swung his weapon, Gallahon dodges every swing.

Hiss-Kanga lunged his massive jaw at Trenton and the others. Nina jumped back and then stabbed one of her swords into the snake’s eye. As the snake rose back up, Anput was behind the snake. She grabbed a chain she saw on the wall behind her. She lassoed the snake. As the chain wrapped around the snake’s neck, Trenton took out two knives and threw them, impaling the snake’s neck. The snake fell to the ground, dead. Anput saw Gallahon fighting King Scythe. She knew how to kill a ghost. She ran over and pulled out the dead snake’s fang. Gallahon put some distance between him and King Scythe.

“Gallahon!” Anput shouted as she threw the tooth to Gallahon. Gallahon caught it. Anput pointed to her fore-head as if Gallahon knew she was instructing him what to do. As King Scythe ran toward Gallahon, Gallahon stabbed the snake’s fang into his third eye, injecting the venom into King Scythe’s brain. King Scythe steps back with the fang still in his fore-head. He yelled out in pain as the venom slowly ate away his brain tissue. King Scythe fell to the ground face up. He was dead, again. Anput walked over to Gallahon.

“Are you alright?” Anput asked him.

“I think so. But how? How did you…?”

“King Scythe had died by snake venom when he was human. He needed to die the same way he died before.”

“But if you knew how to kill him, you could have done this yourself.” Gallahon pointed out.

“I could have, you’re right. But it was you who wanted revenge on him for taking Tikal. And besides, King Scythe was King Erloc’s second in command. But Erloc feared that King Scythe would overpower him. So Erloc had snuck a cobra into his bed chamber and killed King Scythe. After King Scythe came back from the dead, he would’ve taking his revenge on King Erloc before you could have yours. But now that he’s dead again, you can have your revenge on Erloc.” Anput turned away.

“May the Gods and Goddesses be with you.” Anput told Gallahon and gave him a wink. Anput had left King Scythe’s tomb and headed back to the palace of Anubis. The others soon followed. When they stepped outside, the sun light shined on their faces. Morning had come. Aquanna had turned to Gallahon and kissed him on the cheek.

“Thank you for saving me Gallahon.” she told him. Gallahon responded.

“We all have to look out for each other. Now, let’s get out of this desert and back to Windfall.” Gallahon lead on and the others followed. A figure cloaked in white and silver stood upon a dune and watched as Gallahon and his friends left.
