Sacrifices and Sins
I stepped in front of Kade. He pulled me to his chest, keeping my clothes plastered to my naked body.
“You’re not going to kill each other,” I said.
Alex’s nostrils flared and smirked. “Gabriella. I’m going to kill him.”
He closed the distance. Kade pushed me out of the way. I landed in Ryan’s arms. He locked me in place. Alex swung but Kade ducked and punched Alex in the gut. A cocky Henry pack beta charged. He bashed Kade in the back. That was enough for the other betas to join in.
“Stop!” I cried.
Ryan pulled me back. My clothes fell but I didn’t care My mate fought off two shifters at once. Baxter fell into the water.
“You can’t stop them,” Ryan said.
“Then you do it.”
“This is more than you. They hate each other.”
I jammed an elbow into Ryan’s side. I ducked between Alex and Kade. Kade shoved Alex several feet before his fist could do me any permanent damage.
“What the fuck was that Gabbie?” Kade tucked me behind him partly because I was naked.
“It’s fine. I’ll go okay.” My voice silenced the cave.
“You can’t you’re my mate.”
“I won’t let you two kill each other!”
“It’s settled. Let’s go, Gabbie. Move out.”
The betas piled out. I stared at Kade a part of me shattered.
“Gabbie,” Alex barked.
“I’m coming,” I whispered.
“Wait, Kade grabbed my arm. He picked up his shirt by the water’s edge. He pulled it over my head. His shirt was like a dress on me. “I won’t stop until we re back together, you hear me?”

I was barefoot. Alex turned when I stopped.
“What?” He asked.
I couldn’t believe I was looking at my best friend. I couldn’t believe Alex would cut me this deep.
Gabriella?” He raised his brow.
“I left my shoes back there.”
Alex backtracked and picked me up. He cradled me in his arms though I kept my hands to myself. He stalked across the ground we passed the path to the omega quarters and my heart slammed forward.
“Don’t take me there,” I said.
“I’m trying to protect you.”
“By making me your slut?”
“Sanders isn’t a good pack and Kade isn’t a good wolf

“What’s that supposed to mean?”
I pressed my lips together. The Alpha Castle came into view. I shut my eyes. Everyone would stare at me. Leiah wouldn’t let me get up the stairs. Alex strolled into the castle with me in his arms. Loud chatter turned in whispers but Alex didn’t stop. My hope of getting to the privacy of a room before an Alpha female saw me was dashed when Harlow spoke
“What the hell is going on?” She scowled..
“Alex? Eva asked.
I popped my eyes open and saw her standing behind a friend.
She waved her hand. “Whatever, just get her out of here before Leiah gets here.”
“You really are a traitor, Eva,” Harlow said.
Alex carried me up the stairs to his bedroom. He set me down and shut the door.
“I’m not staying here,” I said.
“You’re my omega now. I can keep you here.”
My lip quivered. “You’re mad if you think I’ll let this happen. I love Kade.”
He rubbed his face and took a step forward. I took one back but hit the bed.
Alex grabbed my arm and I winced. I looked down and blood oozed out of the open flesh.

“Let me heal you.

He scowled and grabbed the front of my shirt. He ripped the grey clothing in two. He pulled it off my body and threw the pieces across the room. I covered my chest and landed on the bed, squeezing my legs shut.
“I’m just going to heal you.”
“Do I have to be naked?!”
He shrugged. He hovered over me. I shrunk but Alex pressed his body against mine anyway.

Alex’s entire frame covered my body. His warmth seeped through his skin and filled me up. I shut my eyes and relaxed against the mattress. Alex brushed my hair out of my face.

Alex never knew the right amount of Alpha power to dose someone with. Each time he did with me he overdosed me. He placed me in the middle of the bed and walked to his closet. Too weak to fight him when he came back with a big shirt and shorts I let him dress me and pull a blanket up to my neck.
“Where are you going?” I asked weakly.
He turned, “I’ll sleep in the spare room.
The door closed behind him seconds later. I drifted off to sleep moments later.
I stretched my arms over my head. I poked my head out of the blanket and was hit with warm sunshine. I smiled the quarters never had such perfect sunshine in the rooms. Oh shit. I bolted out of bed.
“Kade,” I ran to the door but it wouldn’t budge. “Damn it, Alex!”
I slept over at the Alpha Castle. The good thing is I was still intact but I also missed my first class. I had no clothes or uniform. How would I break out of here? Or at least get to Kade’s room.
My first course of action was to guess how high a jump it would be out the window. It would be a three- story jump. I closed the window and sighed. That plan sucked.

I frowned but the bacon burger and fries were too good–looking to pass up. Would Kade hate me if I took food from the enemy? I hadn’t eaten last night so if he wanted a mate I would have to eat sometime. I picked up the burger.
“This doesn’t mean I’m not mad at you anymore.”
Alex folded his arms and leaned on the headboard. “I know.”
“Why would you…”
“Don’t. Don’t ask me that. You know why I did it.”
I stared at him before biting into my burger. “I shouldn’t be here.”
“Listen, I have to go. I’ll check in on you later okay?”
“You’re going to keep me prisoner?”
“No, why would you ask that?”
“When I woke up the door was locked.”
“Oh, I wanted to make sure no one came in here and
