Back to the Moon Cave
“I can’t believe this! What kind of a rule is that? Who makes a rule like that, to begin with?” I ranted.
I paused and turned to Kade who’d been listening to me for the past five minutes. He rolled his head to the side to stare at me.
“I mean Alpha’s usually sleep with the omegas but… is it necessary?”
Kade shook his head. “No. No, I won’t take one either
“Kade, what do we do? Alex was serious.”

He tugged me close and pulled my shirt over my head. He brushed my hair backwards and kissed my forehead.
“Come in with me?”
“Sure. We’ll fix this Kade.”
“We have no choice. I can’t live without you.”
I dipped my toe into the water. It felt like rivers of ice Kade dove in head first, splashing water on my
face.
“Come in, you’ll be fine,” Kade yelled.
“It’s freezing. Gosh,” I wrapped my arms around my chest.
“I’ll warm you up. Since when are you a wimp, Gabbie?”
I frowned. After I got my entire toe in I slipped my foot. The chill rattled my bones. Kade grabbed my ankle. My eyes went wide and he smirked.
“I allowed you to come on your own.”
He grabbed the back of my calf and pulled. I fell face forward into the water. I would get him back for this. Kade caught me when I hit the water. He wrapped me in his arms and laughed.

He took my right thigh and wrapped it around his waist. He did the same with the other one. I wrapped my arms around his neck and tightened my legs around him. I felt weightless in the water and in his arms, I felt safe.
“What were you doing here the day Alex caught us?” He asked.
I bit my bottom lip. “I really did get lost. I was looking for the cave of seekers.”
Kade chuckled, “Why?”
“I thought I could wake my wolf. I never found it. I shouldn’t even be here.”
“You’re my mate. You can be wherever you want.”
Iplayfully rolled my eyes.
“I don’t think the cave of seekers works that way but I’ll take you there if you want.
“Do you think there’s a chance I could get my wolf?”
He looked away for a second before turning back to me. “I don’t want to give you false hope. We can still try.”
I nodded. “Yeah, we’ll just try.”
Kade smiled. He hiked up my ass. I shut my eyes and sighed as I felt Kade’s erection up my belly. He was ready and I didn’t want to make him wait a moment longer. Kade slipped his member between my aching walls. I dug my nails into his back.
Water swaying and groaning created a symphony in the cave. I relished the feeling of being in my lover’s arms. The one meant for me. He dug his fingers in my hair and pulled. His lips trailed up my neck before capturing my lips.

We lay on the moon cave floor staring at the spikey rock ceiling.
“It’s called a power surge.”
-What is that?”
“It’s uh supposed to happen when two powerful wolves have sex.”
“I’m not a wolf.”
He kissed my forehead. “Maybe the moon cave told us something we don’t know.”
I snuggled into his side and placed my arm over his chest.
“There’s something we need to find out,” Kade added.
“I don’t know Kade.”
“It was powerful enough to control the water. Maybe you’re something special.”

“Yeah, let’s get out of here.”
Kade got up and found his pants before I could get my skirt and shirt when Ryan and two others. appeared. I hugged my clothes to my naked self.
“What the fuck?” Kade blasted.
“We’ve come for the slut,” A beta beside Ryan said.
“Hey!” I yelled.
“Quiet.”
Kade stepped in front of me. “You better watch how you speak to my mate.”
Ryan’s eyes went wide. He exchanged glances with the other betas. One of them shook their heads.
“Alex wants her,” Ryan told his beta friend.
“He probably doesn’t know about this.”
“We can’t disobey orders. Gabbie come with us.”
“No, no. You can tell Alex to fuck himself.”
Ryan ran a hand down his face, “I can’t tell him that. My Alpha’s orders are to take you to him before the sun sets.
“You’re not taking my mate anywhere,” Kade boomed

I placed my hand on Kade’s chest and stopped him from moving. “What?”
“You don’t have to fight.”
“I’m not letting you go with them either!”
“This must be a misunderstanding. Alex wouldn’t ask for your mate, Kade.
“Ryan, Alex already knows. He’s being unreasonable. Don’t take me.”
“I’ve got orders.”
Baxter, Holden and two others marched into the moon cave. I pressed my clothes against myself.
“You want her you have to go through me.” Kade’s eyes turned yellow, and his teeth and nails. sharpened themselves.
“You don’t want this fight. Your Alpha isn’t even here to fight with you,” Holden said.
The Henry pack betas stared at each other. Maybe this would work and they would leave. It wouldn’t Jast long though. Alex would keep coming. I squeezed Kade’s arm. He stared down at me with concern.
“Leave now,” Kade warned.
My heart rate accelerated I thought it would run out of my chest.
“We’ll leave alright.”
My heart fell into my stomach and burned in the acid. Alex strolled into the moon cave. A fire burned. in his eyes.
“We’ll leave but with her. Gabbie,” Alex said expectantly.
“No,” Kade replied.
“Then there will be blood,” Alex declared.
“Good.”
