Four massive buses were parked outside the castle gates. Two of those buses were for the betas and the other two belonged to the gammas. The alpha squad of course road in style. No craramned buses for them. They got expensive black SUVs to carry them to the mountain. And the omegas got the rickety bus with no breaks. I had to hand it to them it was an easy way
to kill us.
It wasn’t my lack of enthusiasm for this trip rather the number of days I hadn’t heard back from my mom and my phone was still missing. No one announced finding a missing phone. I doubted I lost it someone must have stolen it.
“Omegas! Board.”
The two buses with the gammas started off then the rest of us could board. We only barely managed to fit that was after some people had to be carried.
“This takes away from the joy of being away from McGregor Academy,” Blair grunted
“You’re telling me, 1 mumbled.
Emery still hadn’t said a word to me since last night. She wouldn’t even look at me. Did she hate that I knew? I didn’t even know what was going on. The bus jerked forward after a few minutes into the ride. I thought it was over and the breaks had failed, but we came to a halt in front of the buses that departed the academy before ours. The entire school stood according to rank and pack. Blair and I found ourselves at the butt of the Henry pack line. Leiah and Alex stood side by side like the happy couple they were though there was a darkness behind Alex’s eyes. It almost clouded him to a point I couldn’t
recognize him.
“Listen up packs,” Harlow spoke up. “Headmistress Athena doesn’t want us wandering around so the packs are going to join together on the tour. Henry and Sanders will combine, Richardson and Dixon, Dale and Mandy.”
“Do we have to climb the mountain?” I asked Blair.
“No, there are plenty of places down here for us to see like the wolf statutes.”
“How exciting.” I said with a sigh
Harlow went on about how we were going to tour the mountain She announced the alphas would go up to the top before we left as a ritual to battle season.
Henry and Sanders joined to form one group. Harlow appeared by Kade’s side. He seemed jaded. He looked anywhere but at Harlow who addressed the pack like the Luna she was. My heart swelled a little I wouldn’t be able to do that knowing the pack hated me.
“This is also the time your alphas announce their lunas elect before battle season, but it’s no secret Kade and I are a couple. So in front of Sanders pack I formally renounce myself from Dixon pack and join with my mate’s pack.”
Kade snapped his head in her direction. Harlow clawed his cheeks and captured his lips. He ripped her hand away from his
face.
“What are you doing?” He growled in a low tone.
“Absolutely great. In front of my pack and my mate’s pack I too, renounce myself from Sanders pack and join with Henry pack. Leiah beamed and wrapped her arm around Alex
“Perfect,” Alex said, but there was a void in his tone where his joy was supposed to be
I looked away not wanting to see Kade and his mate. I blocked the thoughts from my head. I heard him reject her myself why would she pull such a stunt?

The group
started moving and I followed along though I wasn’t aking in my surroundings. I heard Alex speak but I couldn’t comprehend what he was saying.
“Hey, watch where you’re going.” Blair said.
1 raked a hand through my hair. I realized I almost stepped on a pile of animal poop.
“Sorry, where are we going?”
“You’re not present are you, Gabbie?” Blair folded her arms over her chest.
“I am. I’m not feeling this field trip. Where’s everyone going?”
People wandering off in their own directions. I couldn’t see the tour guides
“Five minute break. Want to climb to the middle?”
1 shook my head, No, honestly I want to sit for a while. You go ahead”
Blair nodded. She found a group of friends and they ascended the mountain together. I wandered through the trees. We had climbed a bit of the mountain. This level had a lot of openings the rest of the mountain was covered in dense trees.
The weeds were too high I could barely walk without being smacked in the face by one. Still I was able to distinguish between a wayward weed and a hand around my mouth. I kicked into panic mood. I screamed but my voice was muffled out by the giant hand covering my mouth. An arm circled my waist and lifted me off the ground.

He smirked and leaned on a tree,

“I didn’t plan that. I should have spoken to her about this. Honestly I forgot about leading the tours.”
“You haven’t done anything Kade. Harlow’s taken charge of this tour. She’s good at leading. She would make a good luna.”
“Then she better find an alpha to make her a luna because I already have one.” He grabbed my waist and pulled me close. He tilted his head to the side and dared me to say otherwise.
“We’ll have to talk about this later.”
“Yeah later. Come on I have a tour to give you”
“I don’t know the trees aren’t that interesting. I looked around and all I saw where weeds and trees and a couple sharp rocks sticking out of the ground.

Kade felt like a normal boyfriend. The opening of the cave Kade led me to was small we had to duck to get in.
“Why does it smell like a candy shop?”
Kade laughed, “A candy shop? You’ve been to strange candy shops.
“I mean it smells sweet.”
He smirked. He planted his lips on my neck before sinking his teeth into my skin. I panicked and jumped back.
“Kade!” My voice echoed.
“Ugh.” he dipped his head back.
“I don’t want a hickey.”
“Worried Alex will find out?”
“Have you seen Alex talking to me?”
“I want you Gabriella Chambers.”“
I wanted to tell him how corny I thought he was but I wanted him too. There was something about this place that put me in the mood to have sex.
“What is this place?”
“A lover’s cave.”
“You mean like the moon cave back that the academy?”
“Yeah, but this place isn’t prohibited to other wolves.”
“You brought me here-
“Quiet,” he pressed his thumb on my lips. His eyes darted to the cave opening. “I have to go”
He squeezed through two rocks and vanished leaving me dumbfounded. He had to go!
“Oh little omega, there you are,” Leiah smiled.

“You wondered from the pack. Now I know why?” She giggled.
“What are you on about Lelah?”
Her smile dropped like a glass cup from a dining room table.
“You should be calling me luna. I have just pledged allegiance to your pack.”
“Yes, but currently my pack has a luna. I’ll save it for if Alex decides to make you his luna”

“But if you’re here selling yourself to whatever wolf neither I or Harlow have anything to be worried about.”
“Of course. I would never want to compete with you.”
They’re in their own league of pettiness and evil.
“Good and in case you forget your stance does Alex know about your secret nightly fucks with his mortal enemy?”
1 betrayed myself by showing shock.
Leiah laughed and the sound echoed. “He’ll be pissed don’t you think? He’ll have every right to punish you.”
“Don’t tell him.” I demanded.
“You don’t tell me what to do. Cross the line again and Alex will know. I wont be held accountable for what happens Gabbie.”
