I got up and ran to the bathroom, but Kade grabbed me before got to the door. He trapped me in his arms.
“Where are you going?”

“I’m busy get lost.”
“Busy with what? Harlow’s downstairs.”
“I’m going to kill him Kade grumbled.
“Just go, he won’t go away.”

I rolled my eyes. Alex hammered on the door and I jumped. What if he could smell I was here!

I shot into the bathroom and locked the door. Not like that would stop an alpha wolf. I pressed my ear against the door though all I heard was the other door open and Kade walk out. He was out for ten minutes, but that short time felt like an eternity.

“Battle season stuff. I have to go train.”
“Oh.” I breathed a sigh of relief
He took my hands and made, me stand between his legs. He could sense my anxiery just like how I could feel his irritation.
“I wanted to stay in with you all day but I have to do this.”
“Can you tell me about battle season? I don’t really know the species”
“Uh, yeah. Every Alpha has to battle each other to get the title of Alpha King. Being king isn’t hereditary. With every win, at portion of that alpha’s strength gets added to you.”

He told me not to worry, but Kade was going up against more than a dozen alphas, and Alex was one of them. I didn’t want to lose either of them. With the hate that ran between them, I didn’t want either of them to die because it was possible one could end up dead.
