The murder card

Chapter 24

Dear diary, I was finally able to talk to Ian as he and his friends were once again in front of the store, protesting. I talked and I talked but he ignored, as if I wasn’t even there, trying to help, trying to be forgiven. Finally, I was done, so I grabbed him, pulled him into the crowd so we wouldn’t be seen on cameras. “Look Ian, I’ve had enough of this immature behavior. I have been trying to give you very useful information and you refuse to take, so here.” I showed the data in his hand, forcing him to take it. “Just look at it, please. Don’t throw it away because you’re mad at me. What you have here, is really helpful.” I stop and hope for something, one word out of him but nothing. “I don’t care anymore if you will forgive me or not, even though I want your forgiveness and acceptance. But this isn’t about me, neither is it about you. So just forget about me and take what I have given you and do what you want, change the world.” After that, I had nothing left to say to him, so I left, knowing I did the right thing. Now, it doesn’t matter if he forgives me or not, all that matters now, is that he got so much and it’s up to him to make the change he always wanted to make.
