The Missing Princess

Reign

Members of the council are arriving today. There is still one more day of the conference left. All the major work is done now we are just fine tuning little things. The guys are set to leave day after tomorrow. They wanted to stay and extra day for fun. Ian was told to be here since his pack is the muscle behind the king and council. Claude is still in our cells, and we have been told not to talk with him until the council gets here. We do have security footage of him along with sound. So far, he hasn’t said much but we did have one of his guys sit down there with him and he talked to him. The guy couldn’t stand Claude but agreed to help out. His other guys are still in the wind. Claude knows his guys were able to get away which made him happy. The guy did ask him where they might be hiding but Claude refused to tell him anything. Honestly, I am not sure if he knows where they are. I know they are still lurking around. My patrols and warriors, who are on high alert, have caught their scents here and there. Again, Kodi and I are standing in front of the pack house as the members of the council pull up. I was surprised when I noticed that Kodi isn’t nervous as she was last time. I am not sure why. Zhamaxin is here. He insisted on being here. I know he has many connections on the council. He about lost his mind when he was told what Claude had said and tried to do. He was ready to burn that pack to the ground. I think Kodi talked him down. Askel and Bastian are here as well.

“Aaron it is good to see you again. I wish it was under better circumstances.” Council member Theodore said.

“As do I Teddy, but it is what it is.” dad replied.

“Reign, damn you have grown. The last time I saw this guy he came up to my waist. Still built like a fucking brick house just like your dad I see.” Council member Theodore comments.

Kodi giggles when he says this. Dad is good friends with many on the council. They offered him a spot years ago, but Dani and I were still young, and she told them he couldn’t. They understood but I think they still want him. I think he would be good for the council. Most of them are very progressive. I glance down at my little copper flame as I give her thigh a light smack. She is still giggling.

“And you must be Luna and princess Kodi.” Council member Theodore says.

“Yes, it is nice to meet you.” she told him.

“It is a pleasure to meet you. If you want some embarrassing stories about your alpha here let me know. I have plenty. These are my colleagues Councilman Rivera and Peter along with Councilwoman Felicity.” Council member Theodore told us.

They followed us into the pack house and into the conference room. There were to many of us for my office. Ino, Kekipi and Mauku were waiting for us. I looked at Kodi who smiled at me. I am guessing she is the reason that there is a large spread of food and drinks on the table. Gaston spoils my Luna too damn much but let’s be real I am no better. Everyone takes a seat.

Kodi sits in my lap which surprises me since the council members are here, but I should have known she doesn’t care what others think. Theordore is smiling at us. Ino and Kekipi start laying out everything we have gathered over the last few months. Shay comes in and hooks up the security footage of what happened that first night of the conference. The looks of amazement spread across their faces when they saw what my little copper flame did.

“You do realise that you could take his pack since he attacked you.” Council Member Peter says.

“I know but I don’t want his pack. Winter’s pack is closer to his so I think Winter should have it. You would have to let him have that land that is between the two packs, but I think that would be the best choice.” I pointed out.

“That makes since. If Alpha Winter agrees, I don’t see any reason not to grant him the land between his and Claude's pack.” Council Member Rivera states.

“I will gladly accept the extra land and I would be more than willing to take the pack. Those people need a change and to see how it is to live under an alpha that doesn’t suppress his people.” Winter replied.

“Has Claude said anything?” Council Member Felicity asked.

“Yes, but not out right. It is like he speaking in code somewhat. He has not directly mentioned any names or places.” I answered.

We play all the security footage from the cells and as I said he never comes out and says anyone’s name or specific places. He isn’t exactly talking in code, but he says things as if the guy sitting there knows what he is talking about. Myra didn’t find out much from her family. They had no idea that Amir’s father was working for or with Zenos. They were just as shocked as she was when they found out. We did find out that his wife had no idea what was going on. It would be helpful if Claude would fucking talk.

“I could give him truth serum, but I would prefer if he talked.” Council Member Peter sighed.

“We may not need him to talk. We just need him to go to sleep.” Kodi comments.

The whole room looks at her. What the hell is she talking about? I am not sure how going to sleep would help us find anything out. She looks at each one of us and then at me as if I should understand what the hell she is talking about. She huffs and then rolls her eyes. My little copper flame and her attitude.

“Grandfather, could you help us?” Kodi asked.

“Of course, my little princess.” Zhamaxin told her.

Oh, I get it now. I let him explain what he can do, and I saw Theodore smile. I am guessing he already knew what Zhamaxin was capable of. The other council members are shocked as Zhamaxin describes his gift to them. He explains that most fey have an ability. Even Rory and Vance have abilities.

“Yeah, the ability to be fucking annoying assholes.” Kodi mumbles.

“That is just what we were thinking in regard to you.” Vance grumbles.

“Enough you three.” Zhamaxin hisses.

The council members laugh at them. They all have siblings, so I am sure they know how it is. They do ask if there is a place or room here that we can have this done in. I tell them that we could have him taken to a private cell and that Chiron can be present to make sure that he doesn’t die. Peter asks about security.

“Oh, don’t worry about that. I will make sure the shadows are watching that piece of shit. Let the fucker try and run. He won’t get far. I dare his ass to challenge me again.” Kodi growls.

“He is all yours Luna Kodi once we get all the information we need. Claude will be formally stripped of his title and pack. He will essentially be a rogue. You are welcome to do whatever you want with him. I honestly expect him to officially challenge you after what you did to him. Claude and his father hated a strong woman.” Council Member Rivera explained.

I didn’t even need to look to know that my little copper flame had an evil smile on her face. Claude signed his own death sentence when he pulled that shit at dinner the other night. Then he lunged at me when my back was turned. I wasn’t surprised to learn that Claude’s fated mate rejected him. I don’t know of a woman that would willingly want to be mated to that fucker. We begin to make plans to have Claude transferred to the private cell as I linked Chiron to let him know what is going on. He says that he will be there and that he makes sure he lives through what Zhamaxin is going to do but after that he is on his own. I tell him that is fine and that I doubt Claude will still be alive by dinner time. I can hear his laughter in the link. I link a few of the guards telling them to prepare Claude to have him moved and where to move him to. They know that we only use that cell for certain reasons. These next few hours are going to be intense.

Kodi

I sat there watching mesmerised as grandfather used his gift. It really is amazing when it isn’t being used on me. Yes, I know that it was helpful but still I already lived through all that when that shit happened with Uncle Randy and I sure as fuck didn’t want or need to relive it again. It was painful enough the first time the second time was fucking torture. We were right, it was Zenos that Claude met with. I thought he was going to break the fucking bars when they stripped him of his title and pack. Then they told him that Winter would be taking over the pack and he was also being granted the land between their packs Claude lost his shit. I guess he had been trying to buy that land for years and had been denied over and over again. I laughed when he threw a fucking tantrum like a toddler. We still didn’t know where exactly in Russia Zenos was, but we could see a few landmarks, so we knew which city he was in.

“You are fucking delusional if you think that I would ever let myself be marked and mated by you. You fucking disgust me.” I hissed.

“I would have shown you were a woman belongs. I challenge you, Luna Kodi. No woman should be in charge. A woman's place is at a man’s feet.” Claude growled.

“Challenge accepted. I hope you’re ready to die. I let you go before because Reign stopped me but that won’t happen this time.” I growled back.

They were right this delusional fucker challenged me. I heard Reign growl, but I knew it was at Claude. Reign is more than aware that I can deal with this shit head on my own. Rory, Vance and grandfather weren’t overly happy about the turn of events, but they knew I was going to be fine. I didn’t bother changing into something else. I knew that even though I was in dress that I could kill this fucker. I stood in the cage that we had on the training ground waiting for Claude to be thrown in. Shay and Raef tossed him and slammed the door shut. They wished him luck, but I knew they were being smart asses. I whispered a spell so that no one could enter. I made sure the shadows stayed away. I wanted to do this myself. I didn’t need them to show this bastard that he will die at the hands of a very powerful woman. As I expected, as soon as Claude saw me, he shifted into his large dark brown wolf. He wasn’t near as massive as Reign which I thought was strange. He was running straight at me. I closed my eyes as I let my claws extend and when I opened my eyes, which were glowing, I saw Claude standing about ten feet from me. I heard several gasps when they saw my eyes glowing. Yeah, now you realise that you are deep shit. I watched as he shook his head then charged me. I side stepped him, letting him crash into the fence behind me.

“Wow is that all you got. You know that Georgiana already found her second chance mate. You want to know who it is? Its Raymond, Winter’s beta. She is so fucking happy.” I taunted.

Am I being a bitch, yes, I am, and I don’t fucking care. This motherfucker deserves everything his is going to get. Claude growled as he turned around running full speed at me. I was having way too much fun letting him wear himself out.

“Will you stop playing with your toy. This is getting boring.” Rory yelled.

“Fuck you, come on in here and let’s see how you fair.” I yelled back.

“Yeah, no, I value my life.” He replied.

He was right. I was getting bored. I did a flip on his next charge. I landed on his back flipping him over. I had him pinned to the ground making him shift back. My hand was around his throat with my claws digging.

“How’s this for a powerful woman. I didn’t even need to use my powers to have your throat in my hand. Do you fucking submit?” I said.

“I will never submit to any woman.” Claude hissed.

“Okay.” I replied.

I flung myself back, more or less ripping his head off. Blood was spraying everywhere. I made damn sure to be out of the firing line. I like this dress and I sure as fuck don’t want it ruined with his blood. I stood there watching as he died. Yeah, I don’t feel bad at all. I dropped the spell as Reign tore open the door to the cage. I was pulled into his arms as I heard someone whistle. I am sure they were impressed with the damage I did to Claude.

“I would like to go change. I love this dress, but I need a shower and a change of clothes. I am gross and sweaty.” I mumble.

Reign picked me up, making me roll my eyes as Uncle Aaron laughed at the two of us. I knew he was worried but at the same time he knew I could handle myself. Reign headed in the direction of our room. We can discuss more after my shower.
