I pulled on a pair of sweatpants as I walked to our door. I wasn’t thrilled when I woke up alone in bed. I was hoping to wake beside my little copper flame. I was also hoping for some morning sex, but that clearly wasn’t going to happen. As soon as I step out of our room, I can hear my little copper flame. I pinch the bridge of my nose before walking down stairs. I hear Rory fire back at her and if he wasn’t her brother, I would have his ass for talking to her like that.

“WHAT IN THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?” Kodi yells.

“I WAS DOING FINE UNTIL MY NOSY ANNOYING LITTLE SISTER WALKED IN AND STARTED YELLING.” Rory yelled back.

“YOU ALMOST SET THE FUCKING KITCHEN ON FIRE. YOU WERE NOT DOING FINE AS YOU SAID. YOU TWO ARE FUCKING INSANE.” Kodi screams.

“WE COOK ALL THE TIME BACK AT THE CASTLE.” Vance added.

“THE HELL YOU DO! GRANDMOTHER ADAMANTLY TOLD ME THAT NEITHER OF YOU ARE ALLOWED WITHIN TEN FEET OF THE KITCHEN. HELL, EVEN DANI HAS TOLD ME THE SAME THING.” Kodi yelled.

“YOU TRAITOR!” Rory hissed.

I am guessing Dani is there with them. I could smell smoke as I hurried to the kitchen. I am not sure what I was going to find but Kodi welding a knife as her and the twins yelled at each other was not what I was expecting. Freddie, Ian, Winter and Hendrix were sitting there at the table watching the show. I heard footsteps behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to see dad standing there shaking his head.

“DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH THAT STOVE.” Kodi yelled.

“YOU CAN’T TELL US WHAT TO DO.” Vance screamed back.

“I AM THE FUCKING LUNA AND THIS IS MY PACK SO YES I CAN TELL YOU WHAT THE FUCK TO DO!” Kodi roared.

I stepped between them as she advanced on the twins with the knife. Her aura was also starting to flare. I knew it wouldn’t have any effect on the twins, but she would keep pushing it until it did, which would hurt everyone else. I turned my glare on the guys when I heard one of them laugh. These assholes were just sitting here letting this happen instead of trying to put a fucking stop to it. I need to end this and get this kitchen cleaned up before we get in really deep shit.

“WHAT IN THE FUCK IS GOING ON AND WHO DID THIS TO MY KITCHEN? NONE OF YOU ARE LEAVING UNTIL MY KITCHEN LOOKS LIKE IT DID BEFORE ONE OF YOU LITTLE SHITS TRIED TO BURN IT DOWN.” Gaston roars.

Everyone one of us turns to the entry way of the kitchen. Gaston stands there fuming mad. I am pretty sure there is smoke coming out of his ears. I don’t think I have seen him this mad since we almost burnt down the kitchen when we tried to make dad a birthday cake one year. Kodi tuns on the puppy eyes and sweet smile but I doubt that will work. Gaston is very protective of his kitchen.

“Luna, I love you and you are my favourite, but those puppy eyes and sweet smile isn’t going to do shit. Alphas or not no one is leaving this kitchen until it is back in working order. Now all of you get to work. I want this kitchen shining before any of you leave.” Gaston orders.

I would try and point out that dad and I came in here trying to break up the fight, but nothing is going to sway him. We all get to work cleaning the kitchen. Kodi, Vance and Rory use their magic to repair all the damage that the twins did. I laugh at Freddie, Ian, Winter and Hendrix. I can hear a couple of them mumbling about not being responsible for this shit, but they also did nothing to break up the fight, so karma is paying biting them in the ass now. Their mates are laughing at them from the door way. Once we are done Gaston growls at us to get the fuck out of his kitchen so he can make breakfast. I throw Kodi over my shoulder and stomp back upstairs. I need a shower and she needed to get away from her brothers before God knows what would happen.

“They started it.” She protests.

“In the shower now Luna.” I told her.

She marches her sexy ass into the shower grumbling something under her breath, but I am not paying attention. I wait until she is in the shower before I strip down and climb in with her.

“Your cook is scary.” Ian states.

“I might be the alpha but when it comes to that kitchen, he is the boss.” I replied.

The five, well six including dad, are in my office. The women are in Kodi’s office discussing whatever it is Luna’s talk about. I am not sure that I want to know. Ian and Winter brought their beta’s with them and in a weird turn of events Valentina is Ian’s beta, Camdon, fated mate. Georgiana ended up being Winter’s beta, Raymond, second chance mate. Georgiana had told us that Claude had killed her fated mate when she refused him as a mate. She has no idea how Claude found out that she had found her fated mate, but he did. It is one more thing to tell the council. The council had taken Lorenzo into custody as soon as he stepped off the plane. The council has temporarily taken control of both packs.

“So, we will resign the existing alliances, and everything will continue as normal.” Ian comments.

“Yes. They are fine the way they are this was just to make it look official.” I replied.

As they normally do Rory and Vance come barging into my office causing the door to slam against the wall. I growl at them. I swear every fucking time. They sit down like nothing happened. I should kick their asses. They still seem to be a little irritated from their little fight with their sister.

“Okay here are the alliances we had written up by our amazing and sexy queen.” Rory announces.

“As long as somewhere in there is the order to let Luna Kodi kick your asses everything else is redundant.” Freddie chuckles.

“She doesn’t need Dani’s permission to kick their asses. Dani could care less if Kodi wiped the floor with these two.” I mumble.

“Excuse me, but our queen loves us. She always has our backs.” Vance hisses.

“Like she had your backs this morning.” Winter pointed out.

I laugh as Rory and Vance pout. Dad shakes his head at all of us. Freddie does ask what the hell is going on with the ring. These four help us with any rings we want to take down. Ian’s pack also happens to be the official pack of the king and council, so he has a lot of pull. I think Claude and Lorenzo forgot about that when they pulled their shit yesterday. Ian let us know that they will be here tomorrow to talk with us. Good they need to see what assholes those two are. Askel and Bastian arrive not long after and a new round of alliance and treaty discussions start. I linked Gaston to let him know that we will need lunch brought to us. He grumbles about something in the link and tells me that food and drinks will be up shortly. I guess he is still pissed about this morning.

Alpha Aaron

I wasn’t going to take part in this conference, but Reign asked me to be there. He might be alpha, but he still values and respects my opinions. I knew getting these five together was going to be a challenge. They are great friends, and they can cause all sorts of trouble. Add in Ino, Mauku and Kekipi and something might blow up. I had forgotten that Rory and Vance had planned to come. I thought it was a smart idea of them to have an alliance with those packs. I knew there would be a few arguments between them and Kodi, but I wasn’t expecting a full on fight or one so fucking early in the morning. That is not the way I want to be woken up. I should have stayed in bed. I was hoping to get that under control before Gaston walked in, but we had no such luck.

“What do you think they are going to do with Claude and Lorenzo?” Reign asked.

“I honestly don’t know. I do know they have been trying to dig shit up on both of their fathers when I was still alpha. There has always been word that they were terrible alpha’s but the few that would report them refused to come and talk in person. I think they were found out and then threatened, killed or turned rogue. The council has been trying to gain access to the packs to see firsthand, but they always had an excuse not to let them on the packs land.” I explained.

“I was under the impression that if the council wants onto your territory that you have to grant them access.” Winter states.

“For the most part yes, but if there are issues like rogue problems or the pack is at war with another pack then that pack can deny entrance. Those two always had a reason to deny the council access to their territory. They were getting ready to try again when this happened. I was to get my warriors ready to accompany the council to force them to let us onto the land.” Ian told us.

I had figured it had finally gotten to that point. I am surprised they let them get away with it for that long. We continued with our discussion when there was a knock on the office door. We all turned when Jaxsyn and Keith walked in. They were two of best warriors and trackers. I instantly knew something was wrong as did Reign. Those two only came when shit was going south.

“What is going on?” Reign asked.

“We went to find and collect Alpha Claude’s men and they are gone. Their stuff is gone from their rooms. We tracked them to the south east border and then their scents disappeared.” Keith explained.

“We found one of the other guys that came with Alpha Claude, and he told us that before you dragged him to the cells that he sent a link telling all the men that came with him to leave our territory. I think he had some of his men scoping out the borders trying to find a weak spot.” Jaxsyn added.

“The same guy said that Claude and his beta flew to a meet with someone in Russia a few days before they came here for this conference. He didn’t know who he met but he thought we should know. The guy holds no love or loyalty for Alpha Claude. From what he told us it was his brother that Alpha Claude killed to make Georgiana take him as her mate.” Jaxsyn told us.

I heard Reign growl. He was getting fed up with these two. I told him that we should talk with guy. It is clear that he hates Claude, and I don’t blame him. Reign tells Keith and Jaxsyn to return to their duty and that he appreciates them letting us know what happened. I am not surprised that Claude in a last ditch effort pulled something like this. His father was just as a conniving, and I can see that the apple didn’t fall from the tree.

“Bet Claude met Zenos. I knew him watching Kodi as closely as he did wasn’t sitting well with me.” I pointed out.

“Zenos seems to be the type of person Claude would work with. I bet anything that Zenos already has plan to double cross him.” Vance told us.

He is probably right. I doubt Zenos would work with him unless Claude asked Zenos to find him a powerful supernatural. I tell them my theory about why Batina, and her friends were kidnapped in the first place. Askel agrees with me. Now maybe we can find exactly where in Russia Zenos has been hiding all this time. Something tells me Claude isn’t going to talk with us, but we have our ways of making people talk.
