The Missing Princess

I groaned as I turned over. I pushed my face into the pillow further, Reign’s scent was all over and all around me. I let out a sigh as I started to fall back asleep. Then everything flashed through my mind. The storm, Uahi letting me know what had happened and finding the car looking like a twisted up pop can and seeing Reign lying there motionless. I lost my shit. Those mother fuckers. I sat up quickly which caused a wave of dizziness. I sat there for a second letting it clear. I swung my legs over the side of the bed. I knew I wasn’t in our room, but everything was still a little blurry. I let my feet hit the floor and my legs damn near gave out on me. I felt like I was drunk, but I knew I hadn’t drank anything. I had only been drunk once and that was the first and last time that would happen. The whole damn room was spinning. Reign’s scent was all over the room but he wasn’t here. Where the hell was he? I slowly made my way to the door and after a couple of tries I was able to open it. I made my way down the hall. I had to find Reign. I could hear voices but I couldn’t make out words. They sounded like they were under water.

“Luna you’re awake. You shouldn’t be out of bed.” Some chick said.

“Where is Reign?” I asked.

“Luna, please let me help you back to your room.” The chick told me.

“WHERE THE FUCK IS REIGN?” I yelled.

I could fell my power flaring and if someone didn’t tell me where Reign was now I was going to lose my shit. I saw a couple of people fall to there knees, and a few others let out a cry of pain. I didn’t care I want to see Reign and these assholes weren’t letting. I continued to walk towards the door that I could just barley make out. My whole body felt like it weighed a ton and my head was spinning. I could see them standing there but everything was a blur.

“Kodi, please let us take you back to your room. You are confused and disoriented. You need to rest.” Chiron says.

“No, what I need to see Reign. Now get the fuck out of the way.” I growl.

I let out a growl as a few of the people in the hall screamed. The whole building seemed to be shaking. I didn’t care I needed to get out of here and find Reign. What if he was still trapped in that car. Another growl slipped out as I shoved someone out of the way. I hear that person hit the wall but that wasn’t my problem right now. Three people stood on front of me as I stepped out into bright light. I hissed because the light hurt my eyes. I tried to walk around them but they kept getting in my way. I felt my nails growing as I growled at these fuckers. I lifted one of my hands as I swung at them. They jumped out of the way which gave me room to go forward. I slowly made my way down the road. I had to get to the car. I had to get to Reign.

The shadows were whispering to me. I looked around but I couldn’t see anything but bright fucking light. I continued on my journey but I could hear foot steps behind me. I took a deep breath inhaling his scent which instantly calmed me down.

“My little copper flame, what are you doing out here?” Reign asked.

“Looking for you. I had to find you. You were stuck in the car, you needed me.” I cry.

“Hey, it’s okay and so am I.” Reign told me.

I felt him pick me up bridal style and hold me close to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I laid my head on his shoulder. I buried my face in his neck and took a deep breath. Fuck, he always smells so damn good. I hear someone else talk which caused me to let out a growl.

“Hush, it’s just Dad. I am taking you back to the pack house. I need you to relax and rest. You are exhausted.” Reign whispered in my ear.

“MMM.” I mumble.

I felt his laugh before I heard it. I let my self relax in his arms as he walked us back home. I let his heart beat lull me to sleep.

Reign

We were at the scene of the accident. I wanted to know who these fuckers were that dared to pull this shit. Their car was still there as were the bodies well some of them. There had been six guys that I had counted in the video, but there were only two bodies. One guy got away which apparently was Kodi’s plan. There was a pile of bones, there was a puddle of what I was guessing was one of the guys and the other was there whole. I had watched the video at least six times. I was both impressed and horrified. I watched as some of the others started cleaning up the bodies and I could see at least four of my guys trying their best to not vomit from the scene. We have all seen people killed, hell most of us have killed a few rogues, but this was different. These guys never stood a chance.

<Reign I need you to get your ass back here now. Chiron>

<What is wrong? Me>

<Kodi is awake. She is looking for you, but she is still so disoriented and confused she has no idea where she is. Chiron>

<She is walking down the hallway trying to find you. I doubt she remembers you being with her. I think she believes you are still in the car. Her powers are flowing out of her like a fucking tidal wave. Half the staff is on their knees because her royal aura is pouring out of her. She tossed one of Chiron's guys into the wall like he was a piece of fucking paper. Mauku>

By the time Dad and I got back Kodi was walking down the road. How in the fuck did she make it outside. It was obvious that she wasn’t fully awake. She was staggering around. Her claws were out and she was growling at anyone trying to stop her. I doubted she was thinking clearly. Those whispers started up again just like last night as I fell asleep. I couldn’t make out what they were saying, but Kodi all the sudden stopped. I saw her take a deep breath. She must have caught my scent.

“My little copper flame, what are you doing out here?” I asked.

“Looking for you. I had to find you. You were stuck in the car, you needed me.” She cried.

“Hey, it’s okay and so am I.” I say.

I picked her up bridal style pulling her close to me. Her arms wrapped around my neck as she laid her head on my shoulder. She buried her face in my neck causing a shiver to race through my body. I smirked when she let out a growl as Dad walked up to us.

“Hush, it’s just Dad. I am taking you back to the pack house. I need you to relax and rest. You are exhausted.” I whispered in her ear.

“MM.” She mumbled.

She was out before we reached the pack house. I linked Chiron to let him know that I found her and that I was taking her back to the pack house. He let me know he would come and examine her once I got her situated in our bed. I tried, unsuccessfully, to lay her down in our bed, but she refused to let me go. I pulled my shirt off as I laid down beside her. Guess I am not going anywhere today. I linked the guys so they knew what was going on and Mauku told me to stay with Kodi.

“I will help the others. You stay here with her. She would feel terrible and blame herself if she hurt someone while she was like this. I doubt she will even remember what happened today.” Dad points out.

“Okay, keep me updated. I want that one guy found.” I state.

Dad nods and almost gets hit in the face by the door as Chrion walked in. I chuckled at the two of them glaring at each other. Chiron laughs at the glare that Dad it shooting him.

“She’ll be fine. She won’t remember any of this. Her emotions were driving her. All she knew was that you were in an accident and that she needed to get to you. No one was hurt, but damn the aura rolling off her brought everyone to their knees.” Chiron told me.

"Mauku said she threw one of your guys into the wall." I commented.

"She did, but he is fine. I think he was both shocked and impressed that she flung him like a fucking rag doll. Jori is already healed." Chiron told me.

Damn she tossed Jori around like he weighed nothing. That is impressive. Jori isn't a little guy. I knew what he was talking about. I could feel it, but for some reason it didn’t affect me like it did everyone else. I have noticed this for a while now. At first I thought that it was because we are mates, but I wonder if it could be the fact that our bond started when we were so young. Rory and Vance’s royal aura doesn’t affect me that much either and I am positive it is because I am their sister’s mate and somewhat immune to it. They both leave as I lay back down wrapping myself around my little copper flame.

I crack an eye open when I hear someone banging on our door. I peak at the clock and see that it is ten the next morning. Damn, I don’t even remember falling asleep. I look down at Kodi who is still sleeping peacefully on my chest. I gently roll her over and then pull myself away from her. I smile when I see her reach for me so I grab my pillow watching as she grabs it and hugs it to herself. The banging continues and there better be a fucking emergency or the person on the other side of the door is going to get beaten. I yank the door open to fine Kekipi standing there.

“Asshole don’t fucking knock so damn loud. You’re lucky that Kodi is as exhausted as she is or I would have beaten you for waking her up.” I growl.

“Sorry, I did knock lightly but you weren’t responding.” Kekipi says.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“I brought you some food. We were kind of worried when you didn’t show up for breakfast. We figured Kodi was still out cold, but we thought you would at least come down.” Kekipi states.

“Thanks, sorry, I didn’t realise how damn tired I was till I laid down by Kodi to make sure she was comfortable. After the incident at the hospital yesterday I wanted to make sure she knew I was there and that I was okay.” I told him.

“It’s cool. Ino also wanted me to tell you that Brandt and Shay tracked down the asshole that Kodi let go. He is in the cells and waiting for you when you want to pry some information from him.” Kekipi comments.

“Why don’t you three have a crack at him first. I don’t want to be to far from her right now. I don’t need her wandering around the pack half out of it trying to find me. Hell, I think Eli is supposed to come here in a day or two. Let him and his guys have a go at him if the fucker won’t talk.” I told him.

“How is she?” Kekipi asked.

“She is fine. She has managed to get up a couple of times to use the bathroom and I plan on giving her a bath later. I am worried though. I don’t want her going to long with out food so I am going to link Chiron later to see what he thinks. I am hoping she wakes up enough to at least eat.” I replied.

He nods at me. I have to remember him and Mauku have known Kodi for years and think of her as a little sister. I close the door. I make a detour to the bathroom. I need to make sure that I take care of myself so I can take care of my little copper flame. I filled the tub with nice warm water. Well the water is damn near scalding, which is how she likes it. I am not sure how she stands it that hot, but she does. I make a little cooler so I can tolerated it. I pick her up and carry her into the bath room. I set her on the counter and strip the shirt that I put on her last night before slipping in to to the tub behind her. I start washing her hair and I smile when she more or less melts into me. I am glad she is moving but I need her to wake up. I want to see those gorgeous eyes of hers.
