(Book 3) – Chapter 6
While I waited for an answer, I started pulling the witches powers and putting them into the earth. I could feel the ground and the warmth showing its thanks for the power boost. The witches were fighting but it was worthless for them to continue. They were probably doing that since I wasn’t doing it nicely and it hurt but I was too pissed to care.
‘Don’t use too much power baby. Remember you are more than yourself right now.’ I got a mind link from Kane reminding me I now shared my powers with the twins.
‘You are right. Let me take the witch bitches out and I will be good for now.’ I didn’t tell him how I could already feel my energy draining. I was fine and I knew I could do this. Plus only a little less than a month left with these guys still inside me. I got this.
‘Please tell us if something is wrong,’ Koda begged.
‘Feeling a bit drained but the battle is almost over. And I will not leave until I know my family is safe so don’t even try. You would be the same way and you know it,’ I pleaded with him and Kane.
They agreed I should stay and that they will just keep an eye on me. I smiled hoping they felt the love I had for them. I listened in to see if my family was safe.
‘Your mother and father are here with me at the pack house. You sisters are supposed to be below with the other children. We are going down to check now.’ Alpha Lexie linked.
‘Thank…’ I couldn’t finish my link when Rogers shoved forward.
‘Ryder, a vampire stole a girl named Trixie. I can’t seem to catch up and she keeps yelling your name,’ Alpha Roger linked making my heart plummet.
‘Where?’ Blue asked as she moved her eyes around everyone looking for our sister.
‘Headed your way. Staying on the left side of you. I am close behind.’ He sounded exhausted and I knew exactly how he felt.
We swerved to the left watching out for even a glimmer of them. I could hear the battle dying around me since we had taken out most of them. It was just the few who got past and onto the pack lands that we had left to deal with. I had planned to just end them quickly but this bastard earned some pain taking my sister.
‘There!’ Blue pointed to the building behind us. A head was peeking out and I could hear Trixie cussing out the vampire. I was so proud of her.
I ran toward them jumping over a few dead vampires and witches but I didn’t care. He saw me coming and tried to make a run for it but Roger was behind him stopping him from escaping.
He ripped her in front of him and pulled her neck toward his fangs. “If you come any closer I will rip her throat out.”
“NOOO,” Blue roared shoving all the way forward. It was hard enough I fell to the back and was too dizzy to get up to see what was going on. “You are dead dead.”
Blue called upon the last of our power knowing we would be vulnerable after but I agreed with her decision. “PUT HER DOWN.”
Blue used her Alpha voice pressuring his body to do as we say. She didn’t care that he wasn’t a wolf. He would bow down to us even if we physically made him.
She had her feet touching the ground when he shook her head and pulled her back up. Blue shook her head like she was disappointed. She pushed our healing ability toward Trixie in case this all went sideways. It wouldn’t make her immortal but would protect her from a vampire draining her.
“Sorry, Nick says we need her.” He shrugged.
His smiled left his face as a hand and went through his chest. I heard his ribs making the cracking noise of breaking. Bright red b***d flowed down his chest catching my eye before I noticed the Vampire leader behind him with a his mouth turned down in a scowl.
“He should of kept his mouth shut about Nick. You need to forget you heard it or ill kill the girl while you watch.” He let the vamps body fall and grabbed Trixie’s hair pulling to him. She let out a scream and more tears ran down her cheeks.
“You should of thought before making a grab for our Princess’s sister, a*****e,” Edgar said as he took a spot next to me.
“Exactly!” Kane and Knox yelled as they took a spot behind him.
“She is our sister’s mate which means we would die for her. You are about to know what dying and staying dead is like.” Koda said as he walked up to the other side of me.
My other mates walked up and surrounded us in a circle along with a few of the Alphas. I could feel my heart getting full and wanting to burst from the support of everyone. Trixie was relaxing a bit knowing we would save her.
Before I could speak someone shoved me to the side and ran up to the vampire. It was the witch leader. She did not look good with the b***d flowing from the top of her head, the way her arm was twisted and broken, and how she could barely stand on her own. She wasn’t a threat nor would she be help to the vamp.
“You won’t be touching him.” She stared solely at me. “We will be leaving with the girl. There is nothing you can do.”
“Done.” I pulled her b***d from her body and it flowed out of her wounds. She fell completely drained within a minute.
“Wait…Stop.” He dropped Trixie and fell to his knees pleading.
I just stared as the light left his eyes. Kane had rushed forward and bit into his throat. I smiled when he took his last breath. Trixie rushed over to me covered in his b***d but I swept her up into a big hug making sure to never let go.
“Sis…Si…s..” She stuttered as she cried even heavier.
“Never..No one…Ever…You…safe..” I couldn’t even complete my thoughts. I pushed my head into her shoulder and lost myself.
I heard Alistair and my mates giving orders to sweep the lands surrounding ours and to burn the bodies on the west side. I am guessing someone got my parents because I heard my mother screaming before I could even see where she came from.
