The Last Royal Luna

“I just couldn’t do it anymore.” I whined as I lay between Knox and Edgar. Kane was laying between my legs and his head on my belly.

“We get it. I hate that it even had to get this far.” Edgar said running his hand on my cheek down to my throat. “You are so strong and sometimes even the strong need a break.”

“So many deaths that didn’t have to happen. So many by my magic and my hands.” I cried out and tried to pull away from the guys.

“No, you don’t.” Knox said pushing me back on to the bed and wrapping his arm on my stomach above his brother’s head. “We are here for you forever. Don’t you get that we would burn the world only to rebuild it for you? Take this break, let everything out, and get ready to do the last bit of killing we need for a bit before we get our twins back and we decide on when we are making some more.”

Kane snorted on my stomach. “Always with the making of babies. How about we figure out how you can deliver them next time?” I agreed with Kane.

“They have had my babies for a month now and I missed the month before that.” I said, looking at Edgar. “Will they remember me as their mother? Are they eating ok? How fast do wolf pups progress? What if they are walking or talking now and I missed it?”

“They are not walking or talking yet.” Edgar laughed at me. “They do progress faster but not until they hit the year mark. That is when they learn to do so much so fast so get ready to do some chasing and dodging.”

“Oh, yea and that is times two.” Knox laughed looking at his brother. “Remember when we were about a year and a half we climbed the tallest tree we could find but ended up too scared to get down? Dad took forever to find us. He tells this story every chance he gets or else id never know that I tried to convince a squirrel to find someone to help us.”

“I knew then and there I was the smart one.” Kane smirked. Knox smacked him on the shoulder.

“If our kids are anything like these two I am hiring Parker to help me with them.” I told them.

They g*****d. They called Parker the overprotective brother and a c**k block. They wouldn’t be wrong, but it was worth it to hear them g***n until he got there and then they acted like the best of friends. I just hoped he was helping with everything at the pack and that he would be safe when I made it back. I still had to kick his a*s at pac-man.

‘It’s done except for Brody’s death.’ Asher linked us. ‘We have been told most of the warriors here want it to be public. I told them it was their Queen’s decision.’

‘Great, put it all on me.’ I g*****d before taking a deep breath. ‘If it is what they want then we will give it to them. They deserve whatever they want or need after everything we have all been through. Plan it for tonight. I want to hear everything you learned so we can start making plans as soon as we can. I want this over within the next few weeks.’

I snuggled with the guys for a bit longer before the rest of my mates found us and jumped into a dog pile on top of us. I was smashed on the bottom with them all laughing and not moving on top of me. Blue smirked at me and I knew what she wanted me to do. She was so evil sometimes.

I pushed my power of heat at them causing them rush off me in pain and annoyance. I instantly stopped heating their b***d but the glares they had at me stayed while I laughed my a*s off on the bed. I knew they would get revenge, but it was worth it.

“I couldn’t breathe, butt heads. Next time don’t put the smallest person on the bottom.” I said as I got off the bed and got dressed.

“You just wait, baby girl.” Blake whispered in my ear before heading out the door. “Let’s have a talk while we eat. Ill put an order in for some food so meet me in the meeting room.”

“Deal. I will get the Alphas and Betas to join us.” Koda stated kissing my cheek. “You are so gonna get it, princess.”

“Ill go talk to the vampires and have the leaders join us.” Edgar said before pinching my butt. “I can’t wait to hand out your punishment.”

“I got the witches. I am going to get Melissa to help me get back at you.” Andrew laughed and blew me a k**s. Damn him.

Everyone else left except for Asher. He looked tired and a bit roughed up. I went to him and straddled him on the couch.

“Talk to me.” I said.

“Just some of the things they prisoners said about you and what they had wanted to do to you….It got to my wolf and I… I wanted to hurt them so bad they couldn’t feel anything but fear and pain. I hated that I felt that way.”

I wrapped my arms around him and kissed my mating mark on his throat. “Everything will be over soon and fights like these won’t happen as often. Just use all the b***d l**t and anger when we take on our last fight. I love you.”

“I love you, too!” He spoke. I could feel the tension leaving his shoulders. “I call dibs on cuddles tonight.”

I agreed and walked out of the room with him. By the time we made it to the meeting room everyone was there, and the cooks were bringing in some hot sandwiches, yummy sides, and some drinks. I thanked them for it all and told them if they needed help with dinner let me know. I am not the best cook but Id love to pitch in where I could. They were a bit shocked, so they nodded and headed out.

“You don’t act like a Queen,” the packs alpha said, “but I think that makes you even more relatable. Thank you for what you offered my pack in the past days you have been here.”

“You are welcome.” I said as I took my seat between Asher and Edgar. One of my mates had already made me a plate so I was ready to dig in. “Let’s stuff our faces for a minute before getting down to business.”

Everyone nodded and it didn’t take all these male alphas and betas to clean their plates and even their second plates. The vampires were staring at them in awe. It was a sight when you got tons of them together and saw how fast the food disappeared.

I didn’t eat much because I knew the details were going to be gross. I think everything was getting to me and was wearing me down. I just wanted my kids, my mates, and family all together again without the threat of death or pain. I just needed a break. It’s been almost two years of this constant crap and I needed a break.

“Let’s get started.” Asher stood up and looked around the room. “As you know we questioned the prisoners today before ending all their lives minus Brody. Ryder has agreed to have him killed in front of everyone later tonight.”

They all cheered and started yelling suggestions about how to kill him. Some of the witches and vampires were very inventive. I hoped to never have to fight them or let them choose someone’s punishment.

“Sorry to interrupt.” I silenced everyone. “Let’s discuss his death after we hear the inside information the guys got and figure out a plan of attack. That is way more important than the death of some pawn in their game. I know you want revenge, and you deserve it but we need this all to end so we need to focus on getting to the end. I need my children back. I need to hold them, k**s them, and just know that they are ok. I need that damn b***h Queen bleeding at my feet.” I had tears going down my cheeks.

There was a shocked silence at me showing my feelings and expressing my need for b***d. I just had to hope I didn’t make myself look like an i***t. I felt like it.

“Your children will be in your arms safe from harm before you know it.” One of the witch leaders stood up. “No one takes someone’s children and gets away with it. We stand behind any decision you make. We are ready to throw our lives down for the end of this war and for you children.”

I thanked them and sat down right when Mel and Alistair came in. “Started the party without us huh? I was only hurt in the last fight a little bit. Geez.”

I lost it and ran toward her. I knocked her over in a hug. I heard Alistair make an annoyed sound.

We stood up and I told them to take a seat. It was time to get to planning. I made sure to call dibs on the queen before Mel did.
