The Last Royal Luna

I grabbed Kailey’s arm before she walked into the fighting circle. I pulled her close to just let her know to focus only on the fight with the Alpha. If anything happened outside of that with his pack or with more uninvited guests, it doesn’t matter. We have her back. She gave me another hug before walking into the ring.

“Ryder!” I turned when I heard my name called to find Heath pushing his way toward me.

I waited for him to get to me before giving him a high five in greeting. This kid was growing on me, and I was excited for when he found his mate. His dad may be a sexiest a*s hat but none of that rubbed off on his son. His dad would die if he thought Trey was his son’s best friend so I am glad it is true.

“So…. When this is all over could you get me your champions phone number?” He asked while his cheeks turned bright red.

Koda walked up behind him with the biggest smile on his face. He clapped him on the shoulder scaring the poop out of the kid. “Somebody has a crush!”

Heath rolled his eyes at Koda and ignored him. “I am sorry you got stuck with at least one immature mate. Please help me get her number and name…and a date..”

I looked at Kailey and I could see why he was interested. She was 19, tall, fit, brown short bob and had the cutest freckles on her face. She could match Heath’s energy and after dealing with my ex bestie using him I think it might be a perfect match.

“After this fight I will introduce you to Kailey and push for you to take her to a big lunch. She has two fights today and I need her fueled up. Ill even give you my card to pay for it. Some good company, good food, and a*s kicking is a great day.”

“Deal!” He screamed and did a happy dance. I could hear Koda laughing at him but he had just made my day.

I turned back to the fight and saw Sandra along with her mate on the podium. The rest of the pack’s leaders were with them as well. She had invited us up there, but I’d rather be down here in the mix of it. It kept me on my toes and my ears to the ground if things start to go sideways.

“Thank you for joining us as Princess Ryder’s royal Champion takes on Alpha Ian to see if he is worthy to fight Ryder to the death. He wishes to take her spot as a Royal and a leader to all wolves. He must show he is worthy!” Sandra yelled from her chair on the podium. She was better of sitting since she was due yesterday and she is miserable. “Let the fight begin!”

Kailey stood still in her spot keeping her eyes on Ian. He ran toward her as soon as he heard that the fight had begun. He aimed to tackle her by ramming his shoulder into her stomach but she stepped to the side as soon as he got close enough he wouldn’t be able to stop. The crowd cheered and laughed as the Alpha fell to the ground. It was at this time I knew she was going to win.

“Damnit. Stay still bitch.” Ian screamed getting up and running back at her.

She had moved to the middle of the circle and stood with her feet locking into position. When she heard him call her a b***h her smile became bigger and her canines lengthen. When he got close she let him try to ram her but he was only able to move her two feet at the most. The crowd laughed harder distracting Ian.

Kailey dropped an elbow into his spine over and over until he fell to her feet in pain. She waited for a few seconds before bringing her knee into his nose breaking it. I think we all heard the crunch and everyone cheered.

‘Ryder, keep your eye on the fight. The two vampires with their raggedy bunch have went missing.’ Asher linked causing me to want to end the fight and end the whole bunch of them. ‘We are looking for them. Keep your eyes and ears open.’

‘You got it. If they harm anyone on this property, I wanted them in a cell waiting for the twins to have a good talk with them,’ I replied. I felt him gulp in surprise of my viciousness.

I flicked my eyes to the crowed looking all around for the two vamps. I didn’t even want to let them on the damn property with how they keep leering at the twins and any kids that were nearby. I told them there was no eating of the pack even if its b***d. Also, if they even looked at a kid on the property in a not nice manner id have their teeth decorating one of our many gardens.

“Go Kailey! Kick his pathetic a*s.” Heath screamed from beside me. Koda had stayed on his other side and was cheering for her just as hard.

When my eyes settled back on the fight Ian was bleeding from several parts of his body and Kailey had the biggest smile on her face. She must be using some suppressed rage right now so good freaking girl. She had some b***d coming from her lips but I didn’t know if it was her or his. I told her biting was legal.

Ian wasn’t able to get back up so giving in he transformed into a s**t brown wolf who looked almost feral. I knew the wolves from his pack smelled desperate and a bit insane. The guys had agreed but we still let them on the lands. Now we have two missing vampires who have a thing for kids. Ugh.

Kailey responded by turning into her cream-colored wolf who was bigger than the Alphas. She rushed him and slide down to bite down on his foot to break it with her teeth. Ian couldn’t even get a good hold on her to stop her from almost ripping his foot off.

‘The vampires split up and each have a kid.’ Edgar growled into our link. ‘Stay there and make sure the twins are safe with our other twins. Asher and I are each onto a vampire. They won’t make it out with a kid or alive.’

f**k. I focus back on the fight and see Kailey on top of Ian biting at his stomach. It was time to end it.

‘Kailey, end it. Put him in submission. You did amazing.’ I didn’t tell her about the kids or vamps so she wouldn’t get distracted.

Her wolf climbed up and clamped her mouth over Ian’s throat and pressed down slowly increasing the pressure until he laid still and showed more of his neck in submission.

“Kailey won. Alpha Ian will not be fighting Ryder for the Royal title.” Samuel yelled and the pack rejoiced.

I looked over toward where Ian’s pack was and they were laughing. This wasn’t going to end well. I turned back toward Kailey and saw Ian running at her back. She had turned back into her human self and was putting on clothes facing the crowd. Everyone gasped and yelled.

“BEHIND YOU! TURN AROUND!” I screamed. She looked up at in me in confusion before turning her head back seeing Ian’s wolf leaping toward her. He was going to kill her.

I shoved myself into the fighting ring and ran toward them. If he was going to be a coward he would die as a coward. I started to push Blue forward but didn’t end up needing to bring her out.

Kailey had made it out of the way, barely. She growled and ran at his wolf. She grabbed his throat in her arms and slammed him down on the ground. Her wolf pushed forward and used her claws to start ripping him to shreds. His wolf growled, wailed, and cried for her to stop but no one could or would do that for him. He finally died after she had moved down to him open and he bled out among everything else.

Everyone was in shock at what happened but they weren’t my priority, I ran over to Kailey and grabbed her face to look at me. Here eyes were blank and her breathing was heavy.

“She is in shock. I need the doctor.” I yelled.

‘Koda, Andrew, Alistair grab Ian’s pack. I have had enough of their trouble. They all die tonight.’ I linked them all.

“Kailey, Kailey. Look at me. See me. “ Her eyes became less glazed but then the regret hit. She started crying immediately. “Hey, its ok. This was not your fault. He came at you like a coward right after submitting. Your wolf or any wolf for that matter would not take that lightly. He knew better. You did what you needed to do. I am so freakin proud of you!”

“Really?” She whispered with her forehead on my should and her tears falling down my chest. “I’ve…I haven’t ever…killed…”

“I know and the first one always sucks. This will stick with you but not in the way you think. It was a clean kill and you won by being awesome. It will make you stronger, harder, and value life more.”

The doctor got to us, and I sent Heath with them to help with anything. She needed support right now and I know he will give it to her.

‘Caught them, killed them, and the kids are back with their parents. Tried to just catch them but they weren’t coming alive.’ Asher linked.

‘Damn. That’s ok. This pack is a wash. Ian attacked Kailey after submitting so she killed him, and the other wolves were smiling about it so they die when you make it back.’

He agreed and so did all my other mates. I went to tell Sandra but her and Samuel were just making it to the hospital to have their baby. I congratulated them and told them if they need anything let me know. Sandra did and it was to put me back in charge for a bit. Dang her. Looks like I need to put my Alpha pants back on.
