The Last Royal Luna

“Baby, we need to head back to the room. Your parents are finished getting checked out and you look like your in pain,” Edgar whispered leaning down to k**s baby Charles on the forehead. “It means so much to me that you named him after our friend. Charles loved you before he even met you and it made him so happy that we were mates.”

“Awe, I don’t wanna leave yet,” I whined keeping baby Charles tucked in my gown for our skin to skin. “I only got Colette for like ten minutes before Koda took over. Someone is going to spoil our princess rotten.”

Koda just looked over at us and beamed. He has our baby girl in his shirt for her own skin to skin. Each of my mates had taken a turn for skin to skin with both of our babies. I can’t believe how lucky I was.

Edgar laughed and kissed my cheek. “I know but we need to see your parents, meet with Sandra, and you need to pump again. Asher and Andrew are getting you tons of fluids and snacks for the room.” I nodded and had Edgar help me wrap baby boy up while I snapped my gown back in place. These dang hospital gowns and all the buttons.

Koda baby girl in their shared bed and mentioned speaking to the guards they had put on the NICU doors. Even though we weren’t being attacked anymore the guys weren’t taking any chances. I had them add guards to the nursery and Melissa’s room. I didn’t say I wasn’t in agreement with their thoughts.

I was able to sweet talk a nurse into sending up some drinks and snacks for everyone up to the meeting room that Sandra got for us. We had originally thought it would be just a few extra people but I guess all the leaders wanted a meeting and that was not going to work out in my small hospital room. I made a note to link Koda to grab my pump to go with us so I could do that while we held the meeting. Everyone would have to get over it because I just had a baby.

Knox and Kane were waiting for us when we got there. I got yanked into a twin sandwich tight enough to cut off my breathing. When they did finally back up I only had enough time to take one deep breath before Andrew yanked me toward him and kissed me hard enough to make me want to be naked.

“Hey, I thought I said none of that for a week,” Dr, Miles teased. She was coming to the meeting to see what the hospital could do to help with anything. I think she was always keeping an eye on us. I blame how perverted the guys could be.

“Sorry, I just needed a taste of my woman.” Andrew said, giving me one last k**s before taking my hand and walking me into the meeting room. Asher had already gotten me something to snack on with a huge cup of ice water. Yes, so excited. Ice cold anything is amazeballs and with me pumping I need more to drink per nurses orders.

Sandra and my mother were the last two to walk in and they looked pissed off. I was hoping it wasn’t at me because the energy coming off them screamed violence and pain. I just kept my head down and stuffed my face with my brownies. Mom pushed her way over to me and just gave a quick look at Koda before he gave up his spot next to me. Smart move, man.

“My baby had my grandbabies! I am so sorry I missed it. I hate it,” She blurted out yanking me into a bone crushing hug. “I am sorry we didn’t tell you where we were going. I just thought it would be a quick trip since we didn’t have much left to pack. Ill never do it again.”

Here come the dang water works. “Momma, I love you and I know all of this just keeps getting worse for you,” I whimpered. “You had to take on a baby that wasn’t yours, keep me safe, and now even more has been asked of you. I hate that this is happening to you and dad. I am so sorry.”

She squeezed me tighter then I thought possible. “Don’t you dare say you are sorry. Taking you in and caring for you has been the best thing to happen to us. You brough us more love and joy then I ever imagined.” She scolded me and made me feel good at the same time. Woman has some skills.

“But then I had you take on more kids and moved you from your house along with dads’ parents,” I continued on. I also wanted them to move but they said they would die in their house if needed. Stubborn oldies.

“Once your father wakes up he is going to tell you the same thing I am telling you now. The girls are another blessing that was given to us and we are so thankful for them. We are thankful for you and everything that comes along with it. Yes, we had to move but we have made more friends who have become family because of it.” She kissed my cheek and scooted back in her chair. “Ok, lets do this meeting so I can go see my grandbabies before giving some payback to Eugene the useless.”

Sandra growled at Melanie’s dad’s name so something must be up. “Sandra, want to tell us what is going on since all of us are here?” I looked around the room at all the leaders from the different covens, clans and packs that were currently stationed on our pack lands. I saw a few unfamiliar faces which was a great thing. We were even more ready for when the war came.

“That stupid sack of s**t won’t speak to anyone no matter what we do. He keeps repeating he will only talk to you, Ryder, and that if you don’t see him soon bad things will happen to the twins,” She growled out.

“The twins?” Blake yelled jumping up alongside Asher. “Link us anything important. We are going to back to the NICU.” They didn’t even wait for an answer before they were through the door.

“Alistair head back down to Melissa’s room. I want your baby with you both,” I ordered. He looked at me confused for a second. “I don’t trust him farther than I can throw him so for all we know he is lying and something is going to a witch werewolf hybrid.” He ran out the door.

“You didn’t tell me he said anything about the twins. I am going to rip this guy to pieces after sending wasps to sting him over and over before dumping wolfs bane over him,” She ranted with so much rage I felt heat coming off her. “He will talk to me when I am done with him.”

‘Ryder, We will talk to him. I have some things I need to ask and get off my chest.’ Blue linked in a scarily calm voice.

“Blue says we will speak to him but he can wait. Let’s get everything else discussed and planned out,” I told Sandra. “Fair warning if it takes more than thirty minutes I am going to have to pump. Babies gotta eat.”

No one argued and we continued on to speak. A few leaders wanted to take the fight to them but it just wasn’t a smart idea right now. Others wanted to know how we planned to get this war started so we could get it over with. I agreed and told them I needed time to think of some ideas. I knew Jared would have some insight and I knew he was going to be here shortly. The other things that were discussed didn’t really pertain to me personally so I pumped and listened the best I could. I took a seat behind the guys because I was slightly nervous about whipping a tit out in front of everyone but no one judged me.

“Ryder?” I looked around Knox and saw Roger standing there. “Hey, whenever you are ready I will take you to talk to Eugene along with whoever. I need to talk to him..”

I was about to ask why but Blue interrupted me. ‘Something is wrong. I can feel dark energy getting closer to the hospital.’

She shifted before I could tell the guys. Thank gosh I had already finished pumping or the kids would need formula after we take on this dark force. This mama bear was not going to be taking prisoners. I heard several people follow me.
