The Hybrid Rogue

I have been with Zoe all day being dragged to stores for baby items. We were looking at cribs when my phone started ringing. It's been about 3 days since I last heard from Margo.

"Hey, Mar-" I started to say after hitting the accept button.

"I have a lead on finding the house. I have tried a few things including a locator spell, but I think it was hidden with other spells a long time ago. I heard through some of the rescues, Henry was looking into witch history for some unknown reason. They heard mention about Romania. Have you been able to look at any of his files yet?" Of course he had something I needed.

"They are in California with Jaxon. He's been starting to look over things. I can give him a call to give him a heads up and then talk to Ryanne. We can head there as soon as possible to look at it." I feel bad about leaving sooner than planned, but the sooner we find this place the better. We talk a little more and then say our goodbyes.

"So, Zoe, I like this gray one. It's an all in one and neutral coloring that goes well with your wolf themed nursery. I have to call Ry, we have to head to his pack house to go through some files my lovely grandfather had left." I said after turning back to her and I was honest about the crib.

"Thanks! I love it too! Saves more space as well! Go call Ryanne while I make my purchases. I can meet you by the doors." She said as she spoke with the employee.

I called Ryanne and he was excited about showing me his home. He called Jaxon to warn him about what Margo said.

Zoe had this guy lugging the heavy box with the crib and I carried the mattress and the changing pad while she pushed a cart full of finds. Surprisingly, I kind of liked baby shopping. Maybe it was because I didn't have to decide everything and it wasn't for me. Whatever it was, I enjoyed it and was thinking about having Zoe and, probably, mom help me with all this when the time came.

Ryanne was packing our things, while I helped Zoe bring everything inside their house. It was weird being in there, but I was happy that they didn't choose the horrid room to be the nursery. Instead, that was just empty. Pete was thinking of expanding it and making it into an at home gym. The Nursery was painted already with a pack of wolves howling at a moon. It was cute. I may have to steal the idea myself. I keep thinking about having my own pups.

"It's the baby fever. Don't over think it." Zoe said like she was reading my mind.

"Well, some day I will have pups. I feel a tad bit guilty because of Koray though. It's hard to explain. I know he will be happy here and will make a great Alpha one day." I had to be honest.

"He will be and hopefully Liam can make sure he doesn't end up a control freak like your brother!" She had us both laughing. Liam was really laid back compared to Colson. Colson has OCD, it wasn't a secret.

"I promise to call you every day and text at any chance I get! I want to be here when this pup is born!" I say as I give her a hug before getting into the car, later that evening.

"I will have one of the guys tell you if i go into labor sooner than expected! Go do your saving the world, badass, shit already!" Got to love her.

As Ryanne was driving, I started to have an uneasy feeling. I tried to push it, but it stayed. I felt content, but something was off or wrong. Looking once in awhile at Ryanne, I tried to just get lost with the scene outside my window or the music. Nothing.

"I have this uneasy feeling like something is wrong." I finally spoke up.

"Oh, thank Godess, I do too. Call Jaxon." The last bit he said to the car and the music was replaced with ringing.

"I was just about to call. How long till you are here?" Jaxon's voice rang throughout the car.

"About 2 hours still. What's going on, man?" Ryanne had some urgency to him.

"Uhmmm, well, you still have a good drive ahead of you and I want you to drive safely." His voice winced.

"Just spit it the fuck out!" I finally screamed.

"Wow, ok, Az. So, we found some files." He said and paused.

"And?" Ry urged him.

"So most of it is in this weird language though and everytime we try to touch any of it we kind of have a vampire appear and attack us." I had my jaw dropped.

"Seriously? What in the fuck. That's some next level dark magic type stuff right there. No one touches anything else until I get back. Az can see if she can touch it and read it then. Fuck!" Well, he summed it up and hung up on Jax.

"I wonder if it's in Romanian." I say.

"I'm sure Jaxon had one of our witch hybrids look at it. They would have been able to read it. Jaxon can understand most languages so if he can't decipher it, it's a good chance it isn't a common language."

"I wonder-" I started to think about things with Henry and things he had told me while I was there. "Henry said we had demon blood in us."

"That's something to kind of tell your mate. Like huge thing. Why didn't you tell me? This makes shit way more serious. Text Margo and tell her to head to California." He said and I did just that.

"I really didn't think much of it. I honestly don't even know what that means." I say to him.

"It means you are more, fucking, important than anyone knew. Well, anyone but Henry. It's known the first vampire mated a demon and had one child. That child was the first hybrid of the supernatural world. Margo can explain things better. She studied the supernatural in school." If I would've stayed in school, I had planned to do that as well. Well, this just got a whole lot more interesting.
