The Hybrid Rogue

We decided to stop in Nevada for a bit since the rest of the pack have returned. Colson was in full remodel mode with the pack house. Mom and Dad moved into a house nearby and that allowed Colson to go all control fashion redo freak-a-zoid on us. Thankfully, he made my room into Koray's after it was painted and changed around. My things were finally boxed up. Colson offered me a different room or a house nearby if I would like it. Honestly, I haven't made up my mind, though I would have a to make a choice in residence here soon.

It all feels weird. Like I will wake up in our tent in the middle of some forest somewhere and this was all a dream. I feel like i have a place for once in my life and when I go with Ry to see his home, I will have two.

"Mommy, I really like Uncle Colson and Uncle Liam. They are silly, aren't they?" Koray and I went for a walk together to get away from the madness seeing as Colson was trying to take out an entire wall.

"Baby, your Uncles are great people and know what they want. They are determined to say the least. We do need to talk though." We still haven't told him he will be staying with the guys and being raised by them. "So, your Grandpapa did some bad things, you can't go back there. I know you love him, and it's ok to cry. I have to leave with Ryanne in a few days and you will stay here with your Uncles. Since you are my son, you will be Alpha of this pack some day. Do you know what that means?"

"Isn't Uncle Colson Alpha and then Ryanne is an Alpha too. I have heard people say it."

"Well, we are werewolves. We shift into wolves. You will have this ability as well. I'm sure you have a voice inside you that talks to you and tells you things as well. That is your wolf. Most wolves stay in packs which their leader is called Alpha, his mate is Luna, second in command is Betta. Usually the third is called Gamma and then there is Omegas which is the normal wolves. So, My father was Alpha and then my brother recently became Alpha. Since alpha blood runs through me, it runs through you." I hope I can have him understand these things, he is so young and wasn't raised with wolves.

"I get to be a leader? Like a king almost? Like Grandpapa?" His eyes go big but look sad.

"Not exactly like that honestly. More like you are the person everyone counts on to protect them and make decisions for the whole pack. You should be kind, respectful, and stick up for those who are wronged. Being an Alpha means you must do what you know is right. Uncle Colson will start showing you things with the pack some day and you will see him and how things are before that even. There is some stuff though that he can't help you with, so that's where I will come in. As you know, you will reach vampire maturity at 10. Well, Uncle Colson isn't a hybrid like us. Grandma isn't my birth mother, but she raised me until I was 14. I didn't have much help when I turned 10, but I promise you will." I smile at him as we sit down onto a bench together. Just as we hug, a familiar voice comes up behind us along with three pups.

"Why?" Sam seems hurt looking at me.

"Excuse me?" To say I'm confused would be justifiable.

"Why is he locked up and they are saying its because of you. Why are my children without their father. Why? Just why?" She says with tears in her eyes.

I point to the jungle gym nearby and tell all four kids to please go play with eachother.

"You see that little boy right there? Does he not look similar to your children? That's because he is their older brother by blood. There is no way to sugar coat it, Theo rapped me. He is being held still while Colson tries to figure put what he wants to do. At first he wanted him dead, but we all know that doesn't right anything and makes more of an issue for everyone. You need your mate and your pups need their father. I don't want him around Theo though and neither does Colson. I'm leaving him with my brother to raise and be the heir for the pack. It will be his choice mainly if he is to know your pups are his siblings, so please respect the Alpha. I know you are hurting, but Theo has a bad side that I am sure you know of." I take her hands and give her sympathy.

"I- I, he raped you? At 14? You left because of him? You became a rogue, a pregnant 14 year old rogue." She seemed sympathetic herself. "He hits me, yes, and says some cruel things to me and even just takes my body when he wants to, but I am his mate and I just accept it because of it. You though, you had your whole life ripped from you before you even could shift! The mate bond is too strong to just want to leave him for everything and I need him for all these pups. I know you what you all are and I think you may be able to find the best solution. I think, you should rip his wolf from him or make it go dormant. I heard a witch sometimes, if powerful enough, can do that."

"I wouldn't even know where to begin with that, but if you would like, I can mention it to Colson. Maybe, in the mean time, he gets wolfsbane and silverbanded. I can ask Colson all of this. He will want to make sure he stays far away and doesn't ever meet Koray though and I think you can assure that happens." Her idea seems far fetched and wolfsbane and silvering for a long period of time can either kill a wolf or make him immune. We agree and look over at the children who are running around and having fun.

"I may ask Alpha Colson to allow the kids to know at some point, but at the time, let them be friends and play like this together. We moved today into the new house since we just got back. Pete and Zoe are moving in right now. I moved the kids into a decent home not that far, but the Alpha mentioned if Theo comes home he would need to be living where he can be watched. I don't think he would want him to look outside and see your son. I might as well not unpack until we figure things out." Sam is not the same person I first met. She seems, better.

"Time will only tell." We sit in silence, smiling and with occasional laughter. The kids keep playing. Eventually we said goodbye and headed back home.
