Chapter For a bitch
I look at Ryanne hoping he is ok with this news before carrying on. "So, they helped me. We stayed there awhile. Met some lovely ladies. With me being a hybrid, I went a little longer than the usual wolf but I think it was too soon still. When I went into labor, the ladies helped me." I stopped looking at Liam.
"The baby?" Ryanne asks.
"He didn't make it. The ladies had to make sure Az survived. That was our request. Honestly, it was for the best overall in the long run. She was young, a rogue, and now with this Henry." Liam chimed in looking sad at me. I turned and faced the wall.
"Az, it's okay. Is there anything else you can tell us?" My Dad said with a nod from Colson.
"Nothing much. We traveled. Worked for packs. When we got near Silver was when we met Zoe. You know how that all went. Honestly, it was hard to stop but I saw a mother with her son which made me stop. I ran and the guys followed. When we eventually got wind of our so called promise land, Pete started looking into getting us there. About half way into planning was when Zoe had gotten pregnant. Pete was crunched for time and wanted to get to our new home faster. So, He decided on the new route m, which lead us here. The rest you know." I just feel a good bit of pain. Things would be so different if I had never gone to that party.
"Well, get who you want to move to my territories for now. I will call Jaxon to make the arrangements and to send some warriors. I think it's best Dekan, Liam, Pete, and Zoe all go with the members. Jaxon should come up here. He can help keep me calm when, you know. My Gamma can work with all of you guys to make sure things are well." Ryanne tells the group. My heart drops but I know this is the best idea.
"I will make call a Pack meeting. The outskirts of the territory should be given a chance to go as well if they feel unsafe. Dad, you mind helping Pete make the phone calls needed for that. We should start training immediately. We have no idea when any of them will show again and we won't have our best weapon in our midst anymore." My brother shows no emotion. It's the first time he truly looks like the Alpha he was meant to be. It makes me proud and sad all at once.
I meet with a good mix of the warriors. Have them practice using clay manicans. Surprisingly, a few witch hybrids come to learn fire magic as well as training to fight. We needed more and to our surprise we had more in our pack than we knew. The days started going by fast, the members went to Ry's territories along with the others. The place seemed sad. No kids running and laughing. No couples out for evening walks. Just all about training. Even when we weren't training, we thought about it. I was vamping up a lot and hunting to drain animals of blood to keep up my strength. Pete had layouts started for us before leaving and had waited until Jaxon arrived and went over it with all of us before he left himself. He had tracked sightings and suchm you know, Pete stuff.
We were eating dinner at the pack house when we heard the link come over that some vamps were spotted headed this way. Colson linked back saying to allow them. This was our chance. We headed outside. I hugged and kissed Ryanne, telling him how much I love him and to wait a day or two before starting the tracking.
"You know why we came. Have you finally came to your senses? Make this easier?" A deep mysterious voice came from the darkness near us.
"Show yourselves first. Then we will talk." Colson replied. They stepped out. One was older, not your normal type of older for a vampire either, and the other 4 stood behind him like a flock of geese.
"Well, Granddaughter, will you be coming home with me?" This older vampire with the deep mysterious voice was none other than Henry.
"As long as you leave the pack and the territories alone. Agree to that, then I will come willingly." I had to get something out of it so they could be left alone to do what was needed next.
"Ugh, very well, stubborn child. Come along. We will leave this place alone." He says gesturing to me. I walk to him with my head held by. I don't look back as we walk away, I may not keep myself together if I did.
