Chapter The mark
"Bite me, now!" I order my mate, urgently, as I hold her to the spot her mark belongs. Before I knew it, I felt her teeth into me. Half vampire fangs and half canines. The heat starting it's way with me now.
"Fuck, I feel it too!" I take her mouth to mine. There is only one way to fix this.
'We must complete the mating or we die!' My wolf is in agony.
I fling the towels off each of us, lay her on the bed, and keep kissing her. I touch her between her thighs, she let's out a moan. The marking has us both more than ready. I can't wait any longer. I take her, plunging into her with one swift gentle motion. She moans more. God, this may be quick if she keeps up that amazing sound.
She stares into my own eyes as I pick up my speed. The longing for eachother. We create our own little world, only we exist. This moment. Our bodies take control for us as instinct takes control. After we both find our release, its then I realized I didn't use protection.
"Shit." I let my mind say out loud. We aren't ready for things like this to happen yet. We at least didn't have the pain anymore for our marking.
"It's ok." She heads to bathroom as I lay there trying to take in everything that just happened.
After a few more minutes have gone past and we had gotten dressed again. We just stare at eachother, I smile. "You truly are amazing and beautiful."
"There's still things I need to tell you. I'm just not sure if I am ready or if I will be ready." She says laying down onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Whenever you feel you want to, I will listen. I'm here for you. We are connected more than any other now." I try to comfort her.
"Colson just mind linked me, he said if we are done fucking, that we should meet him in the office to discuss the war startegies." She said with a giggle.
"Well, let's not keep the young Alpha waiting." As I stand her up and guide her out the door.
The walk to the office is quick. We don't even knock and just walk in. Colson is sitting where his father did when I first met her, with her father and Liam behind her. Pete and Zoe sit on a couch nearby as well. I gesture to one of the seats across Colson for her to sit before taking a seat in the other for myself.
"So, what happened out there?" I ask first, breaking the silence. Colson looks at Azula to give the answer.
"We were attacked. Obviously. They realized who I was and sent one on it's way to tell their leader. He got away from me, I had the need to help with the fight. The warriors need to train to fight vampires properly. I'm sure we can go over things. But, I think we have a plan." She looks at Colson when she says the last part.
"Fuck, I wish it wasn't an option, but it's the easiest way to finish this once an for all. I'm sorry." Colson says with sadness. I look at them confused.
"Alpha Ryanne, I suggest we send the vulnerable members to your territories for the time being. I can join them along with Liam and those two, if my children wish. If you'd like to send some warriors here to train as well, that may be a smart idea." Dekan speaks up. Still unsure what's going on.
"So what is this marvelous plan?" I ask.
"I will let them think they caught me. Let them take me and play the part. You will feel the bond, especially with the mark now. Believe me, that isn't why I asked for it. I love you, we deserve each other. This is just a way for us to get what we need. There is no need to worry about me in their hands. I can take care of myself, especially if I can make them believe I switch sides." She says to me with seriousness. She isn't looking for my permission to do this, it sucks. I do know I can't stop her though. Az turns to her father. "Tell me the truth, Dad. Why does Henry believe I belong to him?"
"He's your grandfather. Temp was his daughter. Before she died, she made me promise to keep you safe and away from him. We knew he would use you for power. He wants to rid of wolf packs everywhere. To make vampires be the ultimate race. He wants to use you for submission of all." He was looking at her with compassion.
"Well, then we kill him and anyone who gets in the way. People deserve freedom and choices. My time as a rogue taught me more of that than I ever knew before." She responds sternly.
"So what are ranks now in your pack with that bastard out?" I just ask what everyone keeps walking around. Colson sighs.
"Well, I know my sister. She doesn't want to be a Betta. But I would offer the position to her first and if she denies, her recommendation." He turns to her.
"I deny. I recommend Pete to join the pack and take place as Betta." We all look at her in a disbelief. Not a bad choice though and very sensible.
"Well, can't argue with that idea. Liam, you okay with your brother and his mate staying here and joining? Being a Betta is his rightful birth right after all." I look at them with that.
"Our father was Betta for the Midnight Rose pack. Alpha William was a tyrant at the time. My father had enough and challenged him. He was killed and our family was brought to stand trial. He killed our mother in front of us with a warning that we were to leave and never return. We left and ran for awhile. Eventually we met Az in Chicago. She, um, needed help." Pete looked at Az, not saying everything there as if it wasn't his place. "Anyways, I accept. It gives me a chance to help and a place for Zoe to have our pup."
We all look at them. They were expecting. That's wonderful news, may not be the best timing for things, but still, a new Betta expecting their first heir. I then look at Az, maybe it's time to ask her about more of those things she needs to tell me.
"I think, Az, you should tell us all. Everything." I look at her, holding her hand.
"Well, I guess you are right. Please don't look at me any differently. I am still me and I can fight my own battles." She tells everyone. "I left that day because of Theo. He raped me. I will save the details for the sake of my Dad and brother being present. I ran. I had enough of broken trust from some members of the pack. As I made my way around I found some work here and there. I found Pete and Liam in an abandon building on the south side of Chicago, most rogues stay in them. That's where they noticed me, pregnant and young. They helped me."
