Julie POV

Aphrodite took a long deep breath, and I felt it. I felt their power inside me. My eyes became like icebergs, and the fear and panic inside me were nothing, even close to the first time my uncle tied me up to a tree and punished me.

Aphrodite settled her feet to the ground to stop in place. My arms started to shake, and then my whole body. I took deep breaths to get through the fear. I was panicking and wanted out of the room. I wanted to be in my mate’s arms.

“What is happening to her? What are you doing to her?” I heard my uncle asking the Witch. “Nothing! I have not even started yet.” The Witch was staring at me, trying to assess the situation.

“Don’t be afraid of our pups, Jules. They will use Michael to get what they want.” I was not afraid of them, but my body was taken by fear and panic, so breathing wasn’t easy.

“Panic!” Aphrodite whispered, and the chaos was unleashed in the room. I could feel everything being directed to my uncle. His eyes got red. His wolf took control and broke Tania’s neck, and in a matter of seconds, I saw her life draining from her eyes and her body falling fast onto the ground.

He went for the Omega, and the Witch started to chant to protect her mate. But before she could complete her spell, Aphrodite whispered again. This time, the term was fear.

The Witch got on her knees and wrapped her arms around herself. The fear of losing her mate was uncontrollable inside her that had paralysed her actions. Michael killed him quickly. An Omega was easy prey for an Alpha.

Michael strolled to the Witch. He wanted her to feel more fear that way, to see her ending approaching her eyes, and there was nothing she could do to stop him. Her body shook worse than mine, she screamed from fear, and my uncle killed her with a solid punch to her face.

The panic increased inside the room. In the middle of the chaos inside me, I could feel that my pups would not give my uncle a quick death. They wanted him to suffer for all the despair that the monster had caused me for many years. Michael ran to the door to escape the chaos, and I heard the door click locked.

The room was heavy, and panic was everywhere. The iceberg feeling in my eyes grew, and fear poured into the room. I screamed from the feeling and held tight to the chains, but it did nothing to stop it. They were immune to the Silver.

Michael started to run around. There was nowhere he could hide. He banged his head several times on the floor. Each time stronger. Michael screamed in pain. He howled for help. His claws extended, and he dug them into his chest to make the fear disappear from his heart until he scooped it out, killing himself.

The monster lay on the ground with an open chest and his heart in his hand. I sighed. It was over. He would never hurt me again. I thought now that everyone was dead. The panic would go away, but no.

The room vibrated with it in waves, and I heard the door opening. An involuntary smile appeared on my lips, but I was not smiling. It was them. The pups were happy that Jordan had arrived.

When Jordan got inside the room and saw the scene, he was mortified. The door shut quickly behind him, and he ran to try to open it, but it did not open again. I felt Aphrodite coming to the surface.

“Not him, boys. Dad is on his way, and we will leave this greedy wolf to him. It is his prize, not ours.”

Fear was directed to Jordan, and he hid in the corner of the room, holding his head. I knew that would be how the pups would keep him till Ares was here.

The pups broke my binds with their strength, and I fell to my knees, not expecting it. Aphrodite quickly took control and poured a small amount of love inside me, calming the awful feeling. My body stopped shaking, and I could breathe again.

“We need to find a way out now, A.” I was unsure if I could run, but I would try it.

“We don’t have to. Ares is here, Jules. I can feel them attacking outside.” Peace flooded my body again. She was happy that Ares had arrived.

Aphrodite got the wolfsbane from the table with my uncle’s things, walked to Jordan and injected it into his neck. “I will numb Jordan now, and the pups can stop inside you. I know it is a lot, Jules. Thank you for holding tight.”

I beamed. Aphrodite was always so considerate of me. “We are one, A. I would do anything to protect us. Same as you.” Tiredness took control of my body now that we were saved, and I drifted back.

Max POV

Brightly pack was a small pack, but even if they were not, there were not stopping Ares. We knew Jordan’s plans, and with the blocking spell broken, we would find our little wolf as soon as we got to her location.

We all push quickly together to her location. Robbie had said that was where Jordan went, and we did not want him near her. Ares was leading, but the rest of the pack was right behind. He wanted them to hold their guards for him to look for our mate as soon as we got there.

“What has got into Jordan’s head? Did he really think he would be able to hide our mate from us for longer, torture her and we would sit back and feel her pain in our skin and let him become an Alpha King?” I asked Ares because I could not believe how stupid Jordan went around it.

“Oh, please, Max. If there is anyone qualified to be a king to our kind, it would be us.”

“I can see your sense of humour is back, Ares.” I would laugh hard at Ares if the situation were not wrong.

“Of course, it is back. We will get our little one, our pups, and take Jordan’s head. That is enough to get me in a good mood, kid.”

“Are you confident she is carrying our twins?” I could not believe we would have our pups here when the snow started falling.

He rolled his eyes at me. “Yes, Max. I have told you what the dream meant.”

We felt a strong power when we got to the pack’s border. “What is it, Ares?” Ares smirked. “Our pups. They are strong, just like us. So young and already working to protect their mother.” I laughed. They were not even born and already had all that power.

I saw the guards on patrol, who were alert to our presence. It was time for Ares to open our way while the rest of our pack fought the other side. “I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time for a long fight, Ares. Just get those guards out of our way.”

“You don’t even have to ask twice, kid. Cannot wait to have her in my arms.” Ares got in a position of attack, and howled to our pack, commanding them to attack. He moved his head to the guards on our side and roared loudly against them, making them fall to the ground.

We jumped the border and ran to the pack house, invading it. People were running around, trying to hide, but Ares did not notice them. We only needed to find what was ours.

Ares followed his instincts, and I could smell the blood when we were near a heavy door. For a minute, I felt confused, but Ares calmed my mind. The blood was not hers.

Ares shifted to a human and kicked the door, where we soon would find our mate sitting on the floor waiting for us. Those not longer, bright pink eyes looked at Ares’ golden and smiled.

“What took you so long, my love? The boys did all the work for you.” Aphrodite’s breath was ragged. She had used everything she had left to guide the pups to defend them. Ares ran to her and got her in his arms, inhaling her scent. He missed her dearly.

“I missed you so much, my love. I could not even imagine a life without you in it.” Ares kissed Aphrodite, and I could feel her sweetness getting to me.

When Ares stopped the kiss, he looked around. Everybody died in this prison, and Ares missed the chance to kill Jordan. He would give him a painful death for taking what was his.

“He is not dead. I injected wolfsbane into him. We left Jordan for you to kill slowly. He deserves it.” Not even after being through all she had Aphrodite stopped being sassy. I could feel Julie was also all right inside her.

“With pleasure, my Goddess.” Ares kissed her passionately, showing how much he needed her. He looked down and put his hand on her stomach. “How are the little ones?”

Aphrodite opened a bright smile. “They are fine. Did you feel them?”

“Yes, it came to me as a vision in my dreams. Same as Jordan’s image petting Jules’ head.” Ares gave her a small smile, and my feelings were exactly like his. They had done all the work to save themselves, and if it were not for our pups, we were not sure what would have happened till we got here.

“I am so sorry I let it happen to you. You made me stronger to protect you, and I failed.” Ares was desperate inside, he nearly lost her again, and Jordan would threaten our kind.

Aphrodite held Ares’ face, comforting him. “You didn’t, Ares. I told you we were invincible together this time. You did what you had to do to protect the pack, and so did I When I went outside to protect them all. I had faith in you.”

Like my mum had said, she was there to protect the pack. She did not think of herself, only thought of them.

“Now, let’s go home, handsome. Your nakedness is making me want something else.” Aphrodite purred and winked at Ares.

“Thank you for being Amazing. Now let me carry you. You need rest to recover. The pack will celebrate tonight your return carrying my pups.”

Ares welcomed Aphrodite into his arms, taking our mate from where she never belonged and bringing her back to one that she did.

Connor and a few more warriors arrived in the room to assess the situation. “Get Jordan to our cells and burn down this place. We will welcome to the Blue Moon those not involved or accomplices to my Luna’s capture. The others kill them all.”

Ares delivered his final decision to our men before leaving the room, and I was looking forward to getting home and having a moment with my little one.

I hope everybody liked this chapter. Aphrodite and Julie did not wait for their mate to save them. They held tight, figured out a way out themselves, and even kept a prize for Ares.
