Chapter 24
"Turn his balls," Ella hissed, cuddling within Kylan's covers as she scrolled on her social media feed.
Kylan, from his desk chair, shook his head and sighed, "That's extreme."
"Kick his balls."
"Can't do that either."
"Then maybe just cut his balls-"
"Alright, Ella, I get it," Kylan said sternly, narrowing his eyes in her direction. She shrugged her shoulders and returned her eyes to her cellphone. He was not exactly sure what he should do about Jonah, who had not messaged him at all ever since he returned from school, and it was boggling his mind. Maybe he was with that girl, he kept thinking, which caused him even more stress, to which he shook his head.
Hence why, when he heard the knocks on his bedroom door, and Ella was right beside him, he frowned. Until he heard a quiet voice say, "It's me."
"Go away-"
"Ella," Kylan hissed, narrowing his eyes at her as he climbed down from the bed, racing to the door. It was as if all his worries had magically disappeared by merely staring at Jonah's magical face. He was so handsome, and even with his puckered lips in hope for forgiveness, caused Kylan's heart to rise to his throat.
He cleared his throat, attempted to repress his hormones, "Let's go talk outside." As Kylan marched towards the end of the hall, Jonah called him back. "Wait."
Kylan raised an eyebrow, turning to face him, "What?"
Jonah stepped towards him, stared at his eyes for a moment before leaning downwards, pressing his lips on Kylan's, a long delicate little peck on his lips, the ones that will certainly make Kylan want more. When he pulled away, it took a moment for Kylan to stop staring at Jonah's lips. Jonah knew that was to happen; he hoped the desires would make Kylan forgive him quicker without having to explain too many details.
They went in Jonah's car to talk since Kylan was afraid his father would come back home.
Jonah was the first to begin speaking, "I just wanted to say I'm sorry, for last night="
"Who's the girl?" Kylan breathed quietly.
Jonah paused, furrowing his brows before shaking his head, "Nobody you have to worry about."
"Jonah "
"Kylan, look," Jonah breathed, reaching for him and caressing his cheek, "you are the only one I am into right now. I promise you. It is nothing you have to worry about."
He sighed, peering into Jonah's stern eyes before looking away, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm positive. By the way," he leaned in, "I had fun at the movies yesterday." His voice had grown breathy, his breath flowing to Kylan's neck, tingling his sensitive skin on his flesh, and Jonah saw his eyes begin to droop. One of his palms reached for Kylan's thigh, "And you looked really good yesterday."
"Thanks," Kylan's response was dry.
Jonah chuckled, "Look at me." When Kylan did not turn his head, he reached over and placed his fingers on his chin, turning his head, "I said look at me."
Kylan's big green eyes stared at him with desire but doubt, and Jonah leaned in slowly, bringing his lips close enough for both their eyes to close but not landing them on Kylan's.
Kylan waited but finally opened his eyes to find Jonah staring back at him, "What are you doing?"
"Show me you still want me," he breathed, his deep voice whispering was enough for Kylan to rush to his lips without any hesitation, moving them with such fluidity and harmony that both of them adored.
As Kylan descended from the vehicle, his cheeks flared red as he grinned. He waved a hand at Jonah from his doorway. The instance Jonah was far enough, he pressed familiar numbers on his phone and placed the phone to his ear. "Hello?"
"Leah, are you all seated already?"
"Yes, Jonah," she hissed, crossing her arms and glaring at the table, "We are waiting for you to start ordering."
"I'm on my way. I'm ten minutes away-"
"Ten minutes?!" she yelped, causing the people at her table to raise their eyes at her, to which she smiled in apology, lowering her voice, "Ten minutes?"
"I'll fucking make it five," he snapped, shutting the phone and rolling his eyes, pressing harder on the accelerator.
When he arrived, he stormed inside, searching across the place until he found her, and she stood from her seat, a tight smile on her face. "I'm sorry I'm late," he breathed, embracing her into a hug.
"Daddy!" A child beamed, jumping from his seat and rushing to Jonah's side, Jonah leaning downwards, letting the child wrap his arms around his neck.
"Hey, kiddo, how are you?" He tightened his arms around the child before lifting him upwards, placing him on the seat beside him, "You ready to eat?"
"I thought you were not coming."
"I would never miss a dinner reservation with you, Jacob," he smiled, poking his nose.
"Told you Daddy wouldn't," Leah teased her son, smiling at him and finally opening the menu. She glanced towards Jonah, who seemed a bit agitated, and said, "How are you?" "Better now that I'm with my son," he smiled, glancing towards Jacob, who smiled back at him.
