The Beta and His Runaway Werefox / ✔️

Chapter Twenty-Six |Horny Bear

She felt her face heat and her heart skip a beat every time Harvey looked at her. The room was almost dead silent as they all ate their breakfast, but Bella could not concentrate.

Her fox was itching to get full control and take him here on this very table, but she had to hold Flower back. After going through heat, her hormones have spiked to unbearable levels and having him around her has not helped.

Bella was so embarrassed about her own hormonal thoughts that every time they made awkward eye contact, she could see the things he could do to her. The girls have shown her the male anatomy. They have told her the things people do during sex, such as foreplay, but the thought of him actually doing those things to her caused a heat inside of her stomach that she wanted to explore.

She stared at the milk that was left after her cereal. Food just was not satisfying her craving; nothing was, while she frowned and dropped her spoon. “I cannot take this anymore!”

“Awe, someone is cranky today.” Jesse grinned with an annoying look.

“Shut up, Jesse! She is clearly talking to Harvey.”

Harvey rolled his eyes and turned his attention towards them. “Could you guys maybe leave the room or something?”

They all groaned, standing up and exiting the room so that they could talk. Bella did not know what to think as they reluctantly obeyed, but she knew that they had not actually left. They were pairing around the corner like flies against a wall.

Signing, she stared down at her bowl again. “I am sorry, I did not mean to just-”

“I know, I feel it too.” He stated, his jaw clenching as he shuffled in his spot. “It is just a part of the process.”

She lifted her eyes to stare into his own, her face heating again as she felt her lower half tingle. “I hate this feeling; I do not like it... I do not fully understand it either.”

He pulled his lips into a thin line, a slight breath being sucked in as he reached out and grabbed her hands to hold in his. “I have an idea.”

Bella raised an eyebrow, allowing him to play with her fingers as she enjoyed the sparks. “And what might that be?”

“My parents made a small cabin by the river. It is our own little family holiday home that they would take us to when we were kids. We could go there today if you like?”

The hopeful look in his eyes made her heart melt as she smiled. “Do you have any Beta duties to do?”

He shook his head. “Byron cleared me from my duties for a few weeks to recover and to be with you.”

She stared down at their entwined fingers in thought. “Can you tell me more about this cabin?”

Harvey nodded. “Go and get ready, and I will tell you everything that you want to know.”

She beamed, standing up and removing his hands from her own before she ran towards their room. The others smiled to themselves as she passed them, but she did not care.

Her excitement took over everything else as she ran and almost bumped into the door. Grabbing a backpack, she filled it with some clothes for the night before going into the bathroom for supplies.

Xenia talked about Harvey’s childhood. She told her all about how Harvey was the baby of all four of her children, how he was the dreamer, the one who looked forward to meeting his mate. He had even created a house in preparation for the future, and she had to smile to herself. He did not know that she is aware of that secret.

Packing her last items, she zipped up the bag and threw it around her arm. Making her way down the stairs to find Kyra watching TV, her little head turning after noticing Bella. “He went to get a surprise. I think it is cake. He loves cake.”

Bella bit her lip, sitting down to see that Kyra was already looking at her. “Is the cabin nice?”

She nodded. “It is more than just nice. There is a pool table and a dartboard and a lot of board games. My dad also keeps fishing rods in there, and he taught me how to make knots.”

“It sounds like a lovely place to escape to when you want to be away from all of this.” She commented, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the peacefulness of just hearing the TV. “I do miss silence.”

Kyra shrugged. “I am used to the noise. It is weird to be in silence, but I can see why people enjoy it. I would train more; I could concentrate better.”

Bella smiled, shuffling Kyra’s hair, making her giggle and swat her away. “You are already the best fighter. All the other kids just suck.”

Her giggle turned into a laugh as she shook her head. “I like you as my new sister.”

“And I like you as mine.”

“You guys making plans to destroy the world without me?” Harvey questioned with a chuckle, both of them turning to face him while Kyra nodded.

“Of course, and you will be our dog that does what we say.”

He pouted. “Fine, but I get to sleep in a bed.”

“Deal!”

He chuckled again, his eyes turning to Bella while he adjusted his own bag. “Are you ready to go?”

She nodded. “Ready as I will ever be.”
