Chapter Determined to survive
Roseline POV
After the spare was pierced into my being, I felt nothing but intense pain, I cried inwardly while trying to get a grip on myself, I hate to see the pain in Jeff's eyes, the way he was struggling to get up, but it only proved that he was too weak to do so.
"Nooo" he cried, before I black out.
I then found myself in a room, full of scorpions, oddly enough I was not bitten by any of them, there was a strong stench of wolvesbane, which managed to make me weak.
I felt so much pain, that managed to linger through my entire being, I closed my eyes, trying to accept the pain, but it was just too much on me.
I felt like giving up, what's the use of fighting, since I'll eventually be captured, the only thing I ever wished for in this life, was to have a peace of mind and to stay happily with the one that matters so much to me, but unfortunately I don't think that would ever happen.
I then heard the voice of Jeff, his voice was soothing but evident that he was in pain, I tried to squint my eyes trying to know if he was here.
After our conversation with him, there was that lingering hope in me, that fully resonates, giving me the happiness that I had Long forgotten.
I remembered when I heard his heart beat, it was very faint, but knowing he's still alive, is giving me the energy that I never knew I wanted.
I closed my eyes, and thought of a way to be out of this stinking place, but all ideas only proved worthless.
I took a deep breath, before I found myself crawling towards the door, then I was then bitten my a scorpion, allowing me to feel nothing but immense pain.
I then felt the venom spreading to my body, feeling nothing but pain, I just decided to stood still, without moving my body, because I know the scorpions were intentionally placed there, because if I have any thought of escaping then I wouldn't be able to achieve my aim.
I prayed for a miracle, because I can't possibly transformed to my wolf form, because of the amount of blood that I had already lost.
With one last breathe, I decided to do the least expected, which was to allow myself to be bitten by the scorpions, just to be out of there, because the strong stench of wolvesbane is capable enough to kill me.
"No don't do it, you might die" my wolf advised, but I was not listening, I was bent on achieving my aim, but the thought of not reaching the door, another pain swept through me, when I felt a painful sting from another scorpion, making me let out a husky growl of pain.
I wondered what to do, that's when my eyes dart to a narrow opening, it was very narrow, but it was leading to a place that I'm not sure of. I then decided to close my eyes, allowing myself to feel the immense pain that comes with being bitten my scorpions, before I managed to shoved myself inside the narrow opening, the venom was rapidly spreading all over my body, making me dizzy.
And the strong stench of wolvesbane, was contributing to my weak state, I never in knew I could ever be determined to survive after facing so many things a day, I tried as much to keep a calm expression, before I managed to crawl, despite being in so much pains, the place was dark and scary, but I was determined to be out of there.

That's when I found myself in a place that looks like a tunnel, my body felt weak that I can't move any further, and the venom was rapidly spreading that the pain was getting more and more intense.
I closed my eyes, while trying to keep a calm expression, that's when I eventually decided to use my last strength to call for help.
"Please help me" I cried, a cry of pain and agony, that's when I eventually noticed a man who seemed to be in his late thirties, he held unto me before he started dragging me, until I was able to get a glimpse of the light, it was dim but calming at the same time.
I closed my eyes before I succumb to the unending darkness.
I heard voices, more like many people were present there, they kept on talking, I decided not to open my eyes, trying to decipher if there was any familiar face, but unfortunately there was none, it made me want to let out A husky cry of pain, I tried as much to keep a calm expression, before I managed to open my eyes.
Only to noticed the poeple who were present there, it was the presence of unfamiliar faces that I have never seen before.
"Oh you are awake" one of the women who was present there said happily, as her lips sprawled to a smile.
"I'm glad that you are finally awake" a man huskies voice echoed through the thin air, I must admit he was handsome, especially with his flat jaw and his pearly white teeth as his thin lips sprawled to a smile, his long brown hair, unearthly sprawled around his back which made him look even more unique.
He managed to take graceful strides towards me before he held my hand, he kept on smiling without saying a word.
I must admit this man in front of me is handsome, but not as handsome and muscular as Jeff, I just wish he was close to me.
I kept quiet while waiting for him to say a word, but none escape his lips, I then dart my head towards one of the women before I managed to ask.
"How long have been here?".
"Three months".
"Three what?" I exclaimed in shock, I tried to wrapped my head around the whole ordeal before I head the least expected word from the man who was close to me. "Mate".
