Chapter 11
Chapter 11
Due to restlessness, Sigmund went to Secily Pub that night as expected.
Inside, there was a scene of drunkenness and extravagance, with dim lights reflecting the greedy and decadent faces of everyone present.
Sigmund Moolery’s gaze swept across their faces one by one, occasionally lingering.
Seeing Sigmund appearing there once again, everyone more or less knew something.
If he really liked Becky, how could he be there almost every night?
In the end, he still couldn’t forget Betty Adams in his heart.
Looking at Sigmund, who was shaking his glass on the side, the man who had clashed with him a few days ago approached again.
“Hey, Sigmund, want to grab a couple of drinks if you’re feeling down?”
Sigmund chuckled at the words, his mocking expression too apparent. His thin lips were tightly pursed, ready to speak, when a burst of laughter suddenly came through.
“Honestly, in my opinion, Becky is just a bitch. She thinks she can monopolize Sigmund just because they’ve known each other since they were kids, and she forces away the one he really likes.”
The sound was especially loud in the private room, immediately quieting the bustling crowd.
Everyone remained silent, only raising their gazes to look toward Sigmund..
The atmosphere became heavy because of the sentence.
Sigmund looked up at the source of the sound from a small room inside the private room.
To everyone’s surprise, echoing voices came from inside one after another.
“Didn’t you see in the group chat this afternoon? Everyone was cursing at her like that. Do your think she dares to speak?”
“Exactly. Besides Daley, who isn’t there to laugh at her? First, she married a dog and is now going home alone. If I were her, I wouldn’t be able to hold my head up.”
“Those two are really annoying. Daley said that in the group. Who knows? Maybe he has something to do with Becky.”
“It’s hard to say. After all, everyone knows about what happened before. Who knows if he has been coveting Becky all along?”
After the man’s voice, a sharp female voice immediately followed.
Chapter 11
“What’s the big deal about this? I would have already gotten Sigmund’s body if I were her. I’d be too happy to care about these things.”
Sigmund stood up and walked over, opened the door outside, and threw the glass in his hand out.
The sudden loud noise startled everyone inside. The man in charge was about to lose his temper, but when he saw Sigmund’s gloomy expression, he sobered up quite a bit.
He suddenly widened his eyes and looked at Sigmund with a guilty smile.
“Sig, Sigmund, are you here to drink too?”
Sigmund grabbed the man before him and forced him to stand up.
“Why are you as chatty as a woman? Haven’t you learned your lesson from last time?”
His fist had already smashed into the man’s face as he spoke.
Blood from the man dripped, onto Sigmund’s hand, but he didn’t pay any attention to it. Instead, he proceeded to beat up all those people that had just mentioned Becky.
None of the people standing outside the door came out to stop him for fear that this kind of thing would fall on them.
After all the men had been dealt with, Sigmund’s gaze finally fell on the trembling woman in the
comer.
Just by meeting his eyes, the woman could feel a shiver run through her body.
“Humph!”
Sigmund chuckled. “Do you want to climb into my bed?”
The woman immediately lowered her head and dared not look at him. Her legs also began to tremble involuntarily. She had drunk a little too much and couldn’t control her mouth.
Sigmund sized her up, took a few steps forward to examine her attire, and finally crouched in front of her.
He picked up the broken glass from the ground to lift her chin.
“Don’t you know that some things can’t be said? What is her identity, and what is your status? Someone like you could never climb onto my bed in this lifetime.”
It was unknown whether he did it on purpose, but when Sigmund threw the glass, it cut the woman’s chin.
Before anyone could react, Sigmund’s cold words came through clearly.
“If you dare to badmouth Becky again in the future, the consequences will only be worse.”
:
with Sigmund.
It was obvious that he hated Becky. Otherwise, how could he allow a dog to marry
her?
Morcover, everyone in this circle knew very well that the Wood family had obtained a lot of resources through their alliance with Sigmund. People in the circle hold a contemptuous attitude. toward this kind of marriage.
Initially they thought that doing these things could win the favor of Sigmund, but they didn’t expect him to be defending Becky again at that moment.
What a contradictory and strange person.
Looking at the men in the private room, each of them grimacing, the person who had been humiliated by Sigmund last time naturally did not miss the opportunity to mock them this time.
“I told you guys not to talk nonsense about Sigmund when he’s not around. But you guys listen to me and had to get beaten up.”
didn’t
There was a hint of disdain in the man’s eyes. Although he didn’t know what exactly was going on between Sigmund and Becky, one thing was certain.
“This Becky holds a special place in Sigmund’s heart.”
After leaving Secily Pub, Sigmund drove back with a lot of frustration.
He drove back to the house. Looking at the villa in complete darkness, he had an indescribable feeling.
Opening the door to the room, as expected, he saw Becky was already asleep.
Her small figure with her back turned toward Sigmund looked pretty frail, even under the blanket.
In Sigmund’s mind, it was all the words he saw and the mocking laughter toward Becky in the bar, but Becky did not care about anything and had become very distant.
Just as Sigmund was about to get up and walk over to her, Becky’s phone lit up on the bedside table.
On the screen was a message from Daley.
[Are you really not going to leave him?]
Without thinking, Sigmund knew that Daley was talking about him.
He swiped the phone screen smoothly and clicked on WhatsApp.
[Are you all right?]
Chapter 11
[You don’t have to take to heart what those people said. They don’t know anything.]
[If you feel uncomfortable, don’t read it.]
No matter what was sent over there, Becky only replied with one sentence.
[I didn’t take it to heart.]
It was just six words, but Sigmund always felt things were not simple.
His gaze lingered on Becky for a moment before he grinned.
Everyone knew that Daley liked Becky and openly defended Becky in the group chat today. There was no way that they only said this.
“They definitely talked about a lot of things, most of which I can’t see. The reason there’s so little chat history is probably that Becky deleted the juicy stuff,” thought Sigmund.
As soon as Sigmund thought of this, a sudden burst of anger welled up in his heart. In a fit of rage. he threw the phone and stormed off.
