Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Sabrina couldn’t believe that Becky, who had always been obedient and well–behaved, actually contradicted her face–to–face.
Ever since Sabrina said she wanted to redo Becky’s wedding, Becky had been acting rebellious.
But in the end, she just obediently listened, making Sabrina think that she was temporarily rebelling, and now she still wanted to win the favor of Sigmund.
“Oh, so you’re just going to leave your mum here and live your fancy life over there, huh?” Sabrina snapped as she jumped up and stormed toward Becky, ignoring the manicure she had just done, reaching out to grab Becky.
However, Becky backhanded her wrist.
“You ungrateful girl, how dare you treat me like this!” Sabrina looked at her, her eyes turning red. with anger.
She stretched out her other hand to stop Becky.
Becky clasped her hands together, restraining her from doing anything further.
Becky was a bit taller than Sabrina. With calm eyes looking down at her, she said, “You do realize that you’re still my mother, but then again… maybe not.”
When she heard that, Sabrina’s eyes flickered with panic for a moment. She thought that Becky had found out something. “What are you talking about?”
Becky spotted her panic and smiled slowly. “Nothing. I hope you won’t use my dad as a shield. again. It was clear before the wedding that I was being sold to them by signing the contract with the Moolery family. Now that I am still part of the Moolery family, you shouldn’t use the Wood family’s words to guilt trip me. Even if I divorce the Moolery family, I will no longer have any relationship with you.”
Becky expressed her attitude and then released her grip on Sabrina’s wrist.
Before Sabrina could react, she turned around smoothly and confidently walked toward the door.
“How could you say that?” Standing behind, Vania watched the scene in astonishment and quickly shouted, “No matter what, we are family by blood. You have no connection with the Moolery family. How could you just cut ties like this!”
Her words couldn’t stop Becky from leaving.
As she saw her leave, Vania was so angry and frustrated that she stomped her foot, and her
resentment intensified.
“Mom, don’t worry. Becky will definitely not ignore us!” Seeing Sabrina looking as if she had suffered a significant blow and was lost, Vania had a thought in her mind. “Although she says that,

she actually cares a lot about her reputation.”
If the Wood family’s reputation went terrible, it would be because of Becky.
She couldn’t just ignore it.
After hearing what Vania said, Sabrina snapped back to reality and understood her meaning.
Vania was holding her phone and had taken a secret photo of Becky when she returned.
She immediately spread the photo, waptioning that Becky had gone home alone and went on and on complaining about how Sigmund Moolery was mistreating her sister.
In the upper–class circles, there were many idle people who relied on their families and didn’t
work.
As soon as the message was seen, it was immediately shared and spread like wildfire. It quickly started to develop in a turbulent way.
After Sigmund had thrown bottles and had a tantrum at the bar, the people who had previously mocked Becky were a little quieter with their gossip.
But this time, Sigmund didn’t show up when Becky went home to visit her mother, allowing gossipers to speculate on the meaning of these words.
Before the next day arrived, this matter instantly became a topic of after–dinner gossip that everyone in the circle knew about.
Becky always focused wholeheartedly on her design work. She had put all her communication devices on silent mode.
When she stopped working and unlocked her phone, she realized that the pop–up messages were flooding the entire screen.
Clicking on WhatsApp, shé found that her best friend Salena Bush had sent her 99+ messages.
Salena sent a message. [It’s crazy in here right now! Did you even see it?]
[Reply to me quickly when you see this!]
There were too many messages, and almost all of them were duplicates.
Becky glanced over and roughly understood what had happened.
She opened the group chat. As expected, all kinds of familiar mocking and sarcastic remarks were popping up nonstop.
Becky knew this would happen ahead of time and that Vania was the one spreading the rumors around.
“They never thought that Sigmund despised me so much.
Chapter 10
“With this move, it is possible that the Wood family will suffer even more.
“That’s totally suicidal,” she said inwardly.
She started typing a few words on the screen. [It’s okay.]
She had just sent it out when she immediately received a reply from Salena. [Nonsense! These people are really pathetic! They’re spouting nonsense here. Honestly, Sigmund Moolery is such a jerk for letting you endure this kind of insult! What did you see in him anyway? With your looks and skills, plenty of high–quality men would chase after you if you left him!]
After Salena said this, she wanted Becky and Sigmund to get divorced more than ever.
But she also knew that her bestie really liked Sigmund, so she was afraid that after she said it, Becky might speak up for him instead.
However, she didn’t expect….
Becky replied. [You’re right.]
[So we got divorced.]
Salena only replied with a few question marks and exclamation marks to express her shock.
It took so long for Becky to see the news. By now, public opinion had been developing in an agitated way for a long time. Besides, those involved did not clarify timely, making the bystanders. even more convinced.
They were all peers in the same social circle. Even if they didn’t have a deep bond, they still talked a bit when they hung out at parties.
Everybody in the crew knew that Becky and Sigmund had been close friends since childhood.
If marrying a dog was a joke before, then after this wedding, he still refused to visit the Wood family with Becky, which undoubtedly proved that Sigmund despised and rejected Becky.
Becky clicked on the group chat. These people didn’t even care that she was still in the chat. They were openly mocking her, obviously doing it on purpose.
[The Wood family has gone bankrupt. No wonder Mr. Moolery looks down on her. If I were him, I wouldn’t have married her!]
[Mr. Moolery is not that kind of person at all. It’s obvious that Becky deliberately seduced him, causing his true love to leave and go far away!]
[Yeah, I agree! That Becky has no shame. She’s a homewrecker!]
Becky raised an eyebrow and snorted with laughter.
If she had known that Sigmund had someone else in his heart, she would not have foolishly married him in the first place.
Chapter 10
“Why did he go with her to city hall to get married if he was so in love with her?
“Why didn’t he marry his true love?
“In the end, it has
all become my fault,” Becky thought to herself.
She swiped away from the group chat and suddenly realized there was a chat message showing on
her screen.
The message was sent by Daley Castillo.
[Becky, how are you doing?]
[You don’t have to listen to their words. I believe in you.]
With just a few words, Becky was taken aback.
Daley also spoke up for her in the group chat after learning the news.
At a time when everyone despised Becky, only Salena and Daley stood by her unconditionally.
Because she married Sigmund, Becky had not had any contact with this male friend Daley in
recent years.
Now it seemed like it was really ridiculous.
After finishing work overtime, Sigmund pressed his temples to relieve the day’s fatigue.
He took out his phone and realized that there was an unusual number of group
chat messages, and several of his friends had sent messages for him to go out for a drink, but he had previously blocked the notifications and did not receive them.
[Sigmund, everyone has exposed the true face of that woman for you today. Now that her reputation is so bad, you shouldn’t worry that you can’t divorce her. Why don’t you come out and celebrate with a drink?]
When he saw this news, there was a slight frown on Sigmund’s face.
“It should have blocked public opinion before, and what is this again–now?” he wondered.
Thinking about it, he couldn’t help but click into the
group chat.
He didn’t even get a chance to see what exactly happened before his attention was drawn to the speaker behind.
It was Daley.
Sigmund’s palms clenched tightly. His gaze locked onto every statement Daley had made.
Other people were insulting and mocking Becky. Only Daley stood up under the pressure of everyone and spoke up for her.
Chapter 10
What a love drama!
Sigmund turned off the phone, and his sinister expression was reflected on the screen.
“Regardless of the risks involved, he still wants to express his stance. It seems that I underestimated their ability to disgust me in this regard,” he thought to himself.
