Spell Bound

Chapter Seven

Lucian

I would have thought she would have let me go by now.

I chuckle at my thought, she is obviously not one to half-ass anything.

I have been here for about four days. In the four days I have witnessed her do a lot of things with my blood. She has done everything but take it. Her placing it in vials and trying all kinds of spells to try and lower its power. My little spitfire is worried that is she takes my blood and uses it to strengthen her magic it will overpower her.

She comes strolling in with the same smirk that she has been wearing on her beautiful face for the past four days. She has yet to miss an opportunity to gloat about the fact that she was able to subdue me.

I am surprised how attractive I find her cocky attitude.

“How are you holding up alpha?” She asked mockingly before holding her hand up to her mouth attempting to muffle her snickering. “It has been a few days since you have eaten.” Her eyes sweep my up and down my body the smirk returning to her face.

I don’t acknowledge her with a response. Instead I just relax my body within the chains resting my head on the cold wall behind me.

She glared at me before dropping her backpack to her feet. “I was going to offer you some food but since you want to be disrespectful you can continue to starve.” She spits out.

My lips tip up at the words my little spitfire said to me. I couldn’t help but find her quick temper adorable. I found great pleasure in knowing that she will be giving me a run for my money for the rest of our lives.

She huffed before walking towards her bookcase, and pulled out the white hardback book that she has been going through everyday. She has probably read through every single page by now, yet she keeps returning to it. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her as she flipped through page after page of this book. Her finger trailed across the page as she softly whispered what she was reading out loud.

I overheard her tell her friend that the magic that she could sense from my blood was too strong. If she were to drink my blood as she intended she was positive that it would overwhelm her and possibly kill her. She was partially correct with her statement. I was more powerful than any other of the alpha’s in the pack lands because of the blessing I received from the moon goddess. Seeing that she is my mate I doubt that she would die from drinking my blood. She was chosen for me, so I know that she is strong enough to hold my power.

She let out a little growl before slamming the book shut and then throwing it across the room. She slammed her hands against the table before getting up to pace the small room. She sneered at the book, like it has done some great disservice to her.

While I find her temper cute and amusing, her being frustrated does not sit well with me.

“Is there anything I may be able to help you with?” I ask while still feigning disinterest.

She turned to me, her eyes narrowed. “I doubt there is anything that someone of your kind can do to help me.” She spat out at me. “Wolves are nothing but savages, and nothing good will come of any advice that you give me.”

“Are you sure? A good friend of mine was mated to a fire elemental witch. She passed along useful information to us all.”

She rolled her eyes. “Alpha Archer? The same wolf who slaughtered the entire fire coven?” She scoffed. “Like I said nothing but savages.” She scowls at me before turning to look at the book that she threw.

She is aware of that? Turning her away from her prejudice against wolves was going to be harder than I thought.

She began walking towards the book, before picking it up from the ground. She frowned as she began to flick through the pages quickly.

I leaned my head forward slightly. “Why are you afraid to use my blood the way that you need to?” I ask.

Her head snaps in my direction, the shock showing on her face before she reigned in her emotions. “I don’t know where you have gotten the impression that I am afraid but you have been mistaken.”

“A witch who cannot produce her own magic, desperate for revenge and wants to use my blood to get it.”

I could feel the anger rolling off of her in waves. I watched the book that was in her hands start to shake, alerting me that she was not going to succeed in containing her anger.

She screamed before running to the kitchen, and pulling a large knife out of the drawer. She stormed over to me before pressing the knife against my neck, pressing hard enough to draw blood. “You best remember that you are my prisoner, not the other way around.”

I kept my breaths slow, because every time I breathed in air my neck pushed more into her knife.

I watched the hand that held the knife up to my throat. It shook slightly the rage evident throughout her entire body. I looked up and our eyes connected. She let out a gasp before her eyes hardened, and she started to slowly push the knife further into my skin.

I know from the gasp that has just escaped her lips she can feel the mate bond’s connection between the two of us, because I feel it as well.

I feel my blood start to pour out of the stab wound and she laughed as she watched it trail down my neck.

“You need to realize that your life is in my hands. I can allow you to live and go back to your back or I can send you back to them in pieces. Your choice.” She taunted.

She pulled the knife from my neck before walking away.

I felt the wound on my neck slowly start to heal as I watched her walk away.

She is truly a force to be reckoned with, she only has to rein in that temper of hers a little bit. Once her temper is under control, her impulsive behaviors will stop as well. Then she will be the most powerful female on the planet.

“Go on though alpha, I would love to hear the advice that you have for me.” She stated sarcastically as she rinsed the knife in the kitchen sink.

“After you displayed your dominance over me you expect my help?” I asked with a chuckle.

She glared at me. “What’s the issue? It’s only something you and your kind love doing to everyone else.” She began to slowly walk towards me with the knife in her hand. I was mostly worried that she would accidentally cut herself. "You wolves love showing displays of your power. Slaughtering covens and stealing land right from underneath us." She pointed at me with the knife the sharp end in line with my abdomen.

I made sure to hold eye contact with her. “I need to know why you cannot produce your own magic.” I watched as her entire body tensed up, her anger rising completely to the surface once again.

“I don’t see how that is any of your business.” She stated as she folded her arms. The sharp end of the knife sticking up, too close to her face.

I would advise her to distance herself from it, but I have a feeling she would end up stabbing me because of the suggestion.

“I may be able to help you, but the only way that I can know for sure is if you tell me what the problem is.” I made sure to maintain eye contact with her. She doesn't notice but the mate bond is slowly softening her resolve, but I see it. Her posture isn't as tense, her glare isn't as harsh and her breaths were coming out softer.

She huffed out a breath. “I was born a siphon witch. So I don’t have my own magic, but I can take it from others.”

That explains so much. “Is the rest of your coven siphon witches as well?” I asked.

She narrowed her eyes at me once again. “This is not some heart to heart, now you will tell me what you think you know or I’ll have a piece of you delivered to your pack.” She hummed as she uncrossed her arms and twirled the knife in her hand. “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t kill you, but just something so your pack is concerned fo you. I always hear that we only need one kidney."

A fiery temper, impulsive and now I am learning she is a little sadistic. My mate is full of surprises. I was excited to learn more about my little spitfire.

“Let me bite you."
