Spell Bound

Chapter Eight

Arabella

Bite me? Did this Alpha just tell me to let him bite me?

I feel myself begin to shake with anger at his suggestion. How stupid does he think I am?

My temper has gotten significantly shorter ever since I realized that there is a possibility that I may not be able to use his blood to take down my ex-coven. Using his blood has a high chance that the power in his blood may overwhelm and kill me before I would be able to cast a single spell.

My grip on the knife tightened before I lifted my arm to point it at him. “This is the last time that I going to remind you. I am the predator and you are my prey, I can easily end your life.” I keep my narrow gaze on him as my voice dropped down an octave. "I have the power to eliminate you. I suggest that you don't try and make jokes at my expense."

He didn’t seem swayed by my statement at all. The entire time that I have had him chained up in here he has been nothing but relaxed. Bored even. It's insulting.

I know that he is known as the Alpha that doesn’t fly off the handle at the littlest thing, but this just seems suspicious. I kept my eyes on him as I tried to process everything that I know.

It almost felt like he was planning something by his reaction. He hasn’t attempted to get out of the chains, he hadn’t resisted when I took his blood. He has to be up to something. There is no way he would have known that I was coming after him. The only people who knew were Valentina and myself. Yet, the way I was able to take him down in the woods was too easy. Any wolf would have been able to hear me coming from a mile away, and yet he reacted as if I caught him off guard. Any wolf, especially an alpha can’t be caught off guard. If that were the case the witches would have gotten rid of him and the rest of his disgusting species years ago.

“What are you playing at here?” I asked. I am aware that he has a witch that lives within his pack, maybe she was the one who warned him about these kind of situations. No, doubt that she was thrown out of her coven and decided to get in bed with the enemy to have protection. Pathetic.

“You are the one who captured me, I am only attempting to help you so I can get back to my pack.”

While his reasoning seemed to make sense, it doesn’t change the fact that he is a wolf. I know that he and his pack will seek retribution against me the second he returns to them.

“And what is this bite supposed to do? Other than kill me.” I state the sarcasm heavy in my voice.

He let out a sigh at my sarcasm. “May I please have some water?”

I couldn’t help but smirk at his question. “Now you need to remember who has the power.” I turned around to go back to the small kitchen. “I came here ready to offer you food and you decided to be disrespectful.” I remind him.

I grab a dingy looking cup our of the cabinet before filling it up with tap water.

He didn’t respond to my accusation, he only continued to stare at me as I walk towards him. “I know that wolves aren’t taught manners when they are growing up but it is rude to stare.”

He tilted his head a little to the side, “I cannot help but stare, you are the most beautiful female I have ever seen.”

I feel the skin on my cheeks and neck heat up at his words. I pray that my skin is tan enough that he doesn’t notice. I should probably spend more time in the sun.

“I suggest that you stop playing your games before I decided to drown you.”

I move closer to him and lift the cup up to his lips.

I cannot help but be mesmerized as I watch him take slow sips of the water. Watching his Adam’s apple bob up and down with each swallow. A little drop of water trails from the corner of his mouth down his chin, and then made its way down his throat slowly. My lips parted when he licked the remaining water off of his lips.

I feel very tempted to kiss him in this moment, almost drawing me to him like a moth to a flame. I have never felt anything like this in my life. Is this what it is like to be attracted to another person?

I’m snapped out of the haze when he began to chuckle.

“Thank you for the water.” He smiles.

I glare at him as I pull the cup away from him. I am very tempted to take my knife and hold it up to his neck again. Instead of doing that I walk over to the kitchen and attempt to clear my head from whatever the hell that was. I toss the cup into the sink before I even make it to the kitchen. I found myself wanting to place my lips on the same place that he did on it.

Yes, he is a very attractive male. All wolves are exceptionally beautiful, but that isn’t enough to cover up what true savages they really are. The only reason that I reacted the way that I did is because he is the first man that I have interacted with in a long time. Besides, the only other men that I have interacted with were swiftly eliminated because they were attempting to kill me.

I take a deep inhale of air to calm myself. That does nothing to change the fact that he is the most physically appealing man that I have ever seen in my life.

I walk back towards him, my knife in hand. He continued to stare at me as I stopped about two feet away from him.

“Enough with your games wolf, tell me how you can help me.” I demand.

“Please call me Lucian. What is your name?”

“Enough games!” I scream out. “You will tell me what you know right now or I will carve out your tongue and send it to your pack.” I lift up my knife and point it at him once again. If I were to get any closer it would pierce the skin on his lips.

He sighed. “My bite will give you the power that you are searching for.”

I scoff at him. “I am not searching for death. How foolish do you think I am?”

“I don’t think you are foolish at all, not for one second. My bite will not be with the intention to kill you. It will leave a part of me imbedded into your skin on your neck, you will be able to siphon the magic from it without being hurt.”

“Siphon magic from a bite that you give me. How do I know that you don’t have intentions of ripping out my jugular.” I asked suspiciously.

His body tensed, causing the chains to strain. “I have no intentions of ever hurting you.” He declared.

This strange sensation caused my body to shiver at his words. For some reason I believed him. While my brain is screaming at me telling me that this is a trap another part of me is telling me to accept his bite. Going through with this might be the most impulsive thing that I have ever done. I can hear Valentina's voice in my head to just call off the entire plan and just flee to my grandmother's home country.

Yet, there is a part of me that feels like the benefits that I may get outweigh the risk. Siphoning magic directly from an Alpha without worrying about it running out. I would be able to obliterate my ex-coven, and do whatever the hell I wanted to afterwards. No one would be able to stop me. I would be the most powerful witch on this entire planet.

I smirk at my thoughts. I would be able to easily discard this wolf once it is done.

“Fine, but just so you’re aware that if you do kill me my friend will be coming after you.” I warn.

That was a bluff, Valentina was too much of a coward to try and confront a wolf, nevertheless an alpha. The most she would do is attempt to curse his land with a famine, but those are easily reversible.

“Step closer, my bite will be where your shoulder meets your neck.” He completely disregarding my threats his eyes focused in on my neck.

I quickly step into his space closing my eyes, letting go of my fear. Just one tiny bite from disgusting wolf. This is the only way I can truly secure revenge.

Our bodies brush against one another and a warm sensation runs through my body. I grip onto his left shoulder with my right hand to steady myself. I try to shake off the anticipation that I am feeling, but it is almost impossible.

I feel him nudge my head to the left with his and I obediently tilt my head in that direction.

I grab onto the chain holding his wrist with my left hand in an attempt to steady myself. I am sure that his bite will hurt like hell.

I feel a growl rumble in his chest before exiting his mouth before I feel his teeth scrape across my flesh.

My eyes shoot open at the feeling. Red hot pain flashes through my body as I feel his teeth slowly break through the layers of my skin.

As his teeth start to sink lower into my neck the pain starts to slowly slip away, and it starts to feel surprisingly good.

Electric shocks ran throughout my body causing my hand to slip from the chain. His hand immediately caught mine and I leaned my body onto his. I find myself wishing that this never ends.

He keeps still, his canines embedded all the way into my flesh, his lips brushing against my skin. He lets out what could only be described as a purr before he slowly began to retract his teeth from me. When his teeth completely exit and embarrassing moan escapes my lips before I am able to stop it.

I feel him smile against the bite mark before he began to lick it slowly, causing my body to tremble against his.

I kept still as I began to slowly recover from his bite. I took in deep breaths before slowly releasing them, fighting off the urge to beg him to bite me once again.

I slowly stepped away from him, and the smirk on his face was enough to make me want to slap him.

“I’d refrain from looking so smug, you just gave me the power to kill you and your entire pack.” That is exactly what I am going to have to do. If the power that he has given me is truly that strong, I might as well overthrow the pack lands and exterminate the wolves from this land. All of the resources that witches could use that the wolves in the pack lands hoard for themselves? The other covens would beg me to join them, me being a siphon be damned. They might even make me their new leader.

I would be a legend amongst the witches. They would throw festivals in my name. They would accept me.

His eyes darkened, but his posture was still relaxed. “I know exactly what I gave you, now why don’t you take my blood and test out your power.”
