Chapter 7
After leaving Anker’s company, I went straight back to the hotel.
When I moved out, I took all the sketches with me. With these, it was clear who the original creator was.
1 found the sketches and immediately rushed to the company.
1 collected all the evidence and handed it over to the manager as soon as I got to the company.
Unexpectedly, when the manager saw these materials, his face suddenly darkened and he stared at me with displeasure, “Didn’t I say that this matter was over? What’s the point of you still holding a grudge?”
His attitude was something I hadn’t expected.
I stumbled for a moment, trying to maintain my composure, and said, “These documents are enough to prove that I am the original author. You should now be doing the right thing by withdrawing her plagiarized work, shouldn’t you?”
The manager looked at me with a deep expression, as if pondering something. He replied, “Coral, the world is not as simple as you think. I’ll keep these things. You can go back to work now.”
I was stung by his words.
I still wanted to say something, but Laura knocked on the door and walked in, looking down at me with disdain. She then smiled and placed a high–end gift box on the manager’s desk.
“Mr. Smith, this is a small token of appreciation from my boyfriend.”
The manager was overwhelmed with gratitude and thanked her repeatedly, “This is too much trouble and expense. Please thank Mr. Watson for me, Laura.”
At this point, I finally understood.
Laura’s backer was Anker.
He had already taken care of everything for her.
What a dedicated brother he was!
The manager was unreliable, so it was useless to say anything.
I walked out of his office.
Laura followed me closely, seeing that there was no one around, she no longer pretended.
Walking behind me, she said, “Coral, how did you manage to be so different from your mother? It seems that her thoughts are even more… than yours.”
“Is that enough?” I turned around coldly and looked at her, “You’re like your mother because she taught you to flirt with a man who has a girlfriend?”

The words fell, and her face changed again and again, looking very unpleasant,
She deliberately raised her head and stuck out her neck, saying stubbornly, “At least Anker and I are genuinely in love. He likes me, and you are the one who is not loved. In fact, it’s you who interfered with us!”
Her twisted values were just like Anker’s, no wonder they could get together.
I didn’t bother to reply to her, rolled my eyes and walked away.
But they didn’t know that I had received a job offer from a senior classmate of mine a month and a half ago.
She had started her own studio and urgently needed a designer.
She was even willing to pay me a high salary
I originally thought that my current job was stable and did not reply to her in time. Now it seemed that this place was no longer worthy of me staying.
After thinking about it, I took out my phone and sent her a message.
“Una, are you still willing to give me that opportunity you mentioned last time?”
Una responded promptly, saying, “Of course, you can come and report anytime you’re ready.”
In the past, I would have hesitated endlessly, but now, I agreed readily.
Una immediately noticed something was off, so she asked me, “Coral, are you going through something?”
Mentioning it made my breathing heavy.
Guiltily, I said, “Una, I’m sorry for not following your advice. My design sketch was stolen.”
“What?” A shocked and angry voice came from the other end of the phone, “Dare they steal your design?”
I felt guilty and was about to apologize when she said, “But it doesn’t matter. We’ll get revenge sooner or later.”
Una’s words were tinged with a sinister smile,
I suddenly remembered that my design sketch had her authorized original design, which could only be used by me.
“Coral, get ready to report and leave the rest to me,” Una said.
I was filled with gratitude for her words, “Thank you, Una.”
I left the rest to Una and continued to contact the real estate agent, trying to resolve the accommodation issue as soon as possible.
Fortunately, just as I told the real estate agent I wanted to change the area I was fooking for, she said there was a house that met my requirements nearby.

So, I went to see the house with her directly.
As she said, I thought it was pretty good at first sight and took it on the spot. After solving the accommodation problem, I sent my resignation letter to the without any hesitation.
After finishing these things, I moved directly
Just as I finished packing, my mom called me again.
Looking at the jumping notes on the phone screen, I felt inexplicably annoyed.
I didn’t answer and let it hang up automatically.
manager
But the next moment, she sent me a text that read, “Coral, I know I was wrong. I made lots of delicious food for you to make up for it today. Come back, I’m waiting for you at home.”
Seeing this message, I was stunned.
This was the first time she had apologized to me.
I thought for a moment and went home.
But as soon as I walked into the house, I heard the harmonious sound of talking. coming from the living room.
My heart tightened, and I walked in.
Wearing casual clothes, Anker was chatting with my mom in the living room, and a number of exquisite gift boxes containing high–end products were placed on the coffee
table.
The two of them got along well as if nothing had happened before.
I stood frozen in place, filled with disappointment towards my mom.
But she was oblivious to it and rushed towards me as soon as she saw me, “You finally came back, we’ve been waiting for you for a long time. Go wash your hands and have. dinner with us.”
I didn’t move, staring coldly at them.
“This is what you call making amends?”
“You fool girl.” My mother gave me a wink and said, “Anker isn’t even holding a grudge against you, what are you angry about? Couples break up and make up all the time, you don’t need to be so petty.”
Hearing those words, I couldn’t help but laugh.
Anker stood up and walked towards us, “Coral, your mom has worked hard on the meal, let’s eat first.”
I remained unmoved but felt a sense of unease at the familiar home.
I took a deep breath and managed to suppress the anger that was about to surface. “Anker, I’ll say it again, we’ve already broken up, and there’s absolutely no chance of us

getting back together. Take your things and leave.”
